    DeChambeau -11 (17)

Bryson DeChambeau is skipping round the lake as he heads to the 17th green. He's waving his arms in the air, whipping the crowd up, who oblige.

Golf is entertainment and BDC is bringing the joy.

    Almost.

His birdie putt wanders past the hole. Straightforward par and on to the last...

    Garcia -9 (15), Westwood -11 (15)

Sergio Garcia has crept up to nine under par with a birdie on the 15th. He's two under for the round and has fought back well.

Here comes Lee Westwood on the 15th green, from about 25 feet. A similar putt to one Jon Rahm had about an hour ago. A similar outcome too. Another par chalked off.

  3. A word from Caseypublished at 22:29 GMT 13 March 2021

    Casey -9 (F)

Paul Casey had a five-under 67 today. Here's his thoughts...

"I played 18 beautifully after I got a little sqwirly (is that even a word?!) on the back nine. There's no reason for that. The birdie on 18 was important though. One because it's one shot less I'll need tomorrow and it may put me in a good pairing with someone like Jon Rahm, who I might be able to fire off.

"I've seen the pin position on 17 for tomorrow. Watch it. It's going to be carnage!"

    DeChambeau -11 (16)

Bryson DeChambeau is the next player on the 17th tee. There's a hum of expectation from the fans gathered on the banks around the hole. Normally they'd be crammed in but Covid-19 restrictions have limited attendance this week. Still, it's good to see paying punters in the place.

Bryson pings his ball right over the flag but the green has hardened in the sun and his ball is not going to spin back. He's got a similar putt to Ghim coming up.

    Ghim -10 (17)

Doug Ghim successfully negotiates the water at 17th - the island green that is actually a peninsula, really - so many have found the drink there this week.

He barely breathes on his birdie putt and it gathers pace as it slides down the hill and finishes three feet past the hole.

Should be in for par. And is.

  6. DeChambeau joins leadpublished at 22:18 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -11, Fitzpatrick -8 (14), DeChambeau -11 (16)

It's a ding-dong battle between Lee Westwood and Bryson DeChambeau, for the second successive week. DeChambeau rolls in a birdie at 16 to move into a share of the lead but Westwood immediately has a chance to pull clear again thanks to a lovely approach at 14. He dribbles the putt wide. All square at the top.

  7. Par to finish for Rahmpublished at 22:10 GMT 13 March 2021

    Rahm -9 (F)

Jon Rahm is on the 18th hole. Wary of the water down the left, he pushes his drive a touch to the right.

His second finds the back edge of the green, which is the right side to be on given where the hole is. He's got a 15-footer to get to double digits under par...

Not happening for the world number two. But a two-putt par and that's a five-under 67, which I'm sure he'd have taken at the start of the day.

It's shaping up to be a belter on Sunday.

  8. Ghim drops, Westwood takes outright leadpublished at 22:08 GMT 13 March 2021

    Ghim -10 (16)

Awful lie for Doug Ghim at 16, having found the bank just above the bunker after a wayward shot beforehand on the par five... he would love to escape with a par here. The 24-year-old hacks it out well on to the smooth stuff.

Needs a solid putt now to save par. It just doesn't have the legs. Bogey it is.

  9. Postpublished at 22:07 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -11, Fitzpatrick -7 (13)

The birdie doesn't drop for Lee Westwood. Never quite caught the line.

Matt Fitzpatrick rolls a wonderful long-ranger up to within inches but will settle for par.

  10. Postpublished at 22:03 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -10 (15)

Bryson DeChambeau, 190mph right out of the heart of the bat, and an absolute corker of a drive that sends the crowd a little giddy at the par-five 16th. He's attacking it alright...

  11. Birdie chance for Westwoodpublished at 22:02 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -11, Fitzpatrick -7 (12)

"Come on, get close..." says Lee Westwood, before laughing to himself and adding: "Get in there!" It's a lovely tee shot at the par-three 13th that has him looking at another potential birdie.

  12. Casey closes with birdiepublished at 22:00 GMT 13 March 2021

    Casey -9 (F)

Paul Casey is on the 18th. He hits the perfect tee shot on to the fairway. He hits the perfect second shot to about five feet.

Can he finish it off with the perfect putt?

Yes. He. Can. That's a five-under 67 for the Englishman. A five-under-par round that featured three bogeys. It could have been so much better, although it could have been so much worse too, given where his tee shot ended up on the 17th.

But he held his nerve coming in and was brilliantly rewarded.

  13. Postpublished at 21:58 GMT 13 March 2021

    Ghim -11 (15)

This was Doug Ghim's approach into the 14th, worthy of taking the lead...

He's just parred the 15th to remain at 11 under for the tournament.

  14. Westwood joins leadpublished at 21:56 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -11, Fitzpatrick -7 (12)

Lee Westwood's putter is hotting up. A second birdie in three holes since the turn for the former world number one.

The work was all done with his tee shot at the 12th, leaving it just short of the green and getting up and down in two with a tap-in birdie to take him into a share of the lead, alongside Doug Ghim.

Matt Fitzpatrick follows him down to claw one of his dropped shots back.

  15. Postpublished at 21:53 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -10 (14)

Oooh! Shaky from DeChambeau, who goes long at 15 and is in a spot of bother.

  16. Postpublished at 21:52 GMT 13 March 2021

    Rahm -9 (16)

Jon Rahm managed to get up and down for par on the 16th but that will feel like a shot dropped on a hole that is ranked the second easiest in round three.

He's quickly on to the 17th tee. Gap wedge in hand. He hits it miles in the air. How's the distance? Spot on. About a dozen feet right of the hole. A chance to get to double digits under coming up.

  17. Postpublished at 21:49 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -10 (14)

Bryson DeChambeau tightens his driver before lashing one off the tee and down the 15th fairway. He's one off three players sitting one behind Doug Ghim.

  18. Garcia back in the mixpublished at 21:48 GMT 13 March 2021

    Garcia -8 (12)

We've seen very little of Sergio Garcia this evening after he bogeyed two of his opening four holes.

However, the Spaniard picked those shots back up on the sixth and ninth holes and has just got to one under for his round with a third birdie at the 12th. He's up to eight under par and very much still in this.

  19. Casey pars the 17thpublished at 21:46 GMT 13 March 2021

    Casey -8 (17)

Paul Casey is up on the par-three 17th. The island hole. His ball tracker indicates he's going left here. And that could spell disaster. The ball thuds into the green and spins back off to the left, will it stay dry?

The ball trundles into the smallest collar of rough and somehow stops. And breathe Paul.

There's no certainty of par here though. He nudges his putt across the slope, some four feet past...in the middle. Casey wanders off chuntering to his caddie. "Got away with one there," is what I expect he'll be saying.

  20. DeChambeau drops, Ghim takes leadpublished at 21:46 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -10 (14)

That's why Bryson DeChambeau was unhappy... it was a lot shorter than it first looked and leaves him a tricky par-saver. He doesn't make it. Bogey.

DeChambeau drops his first shot of the day and, wait for it, Doug Ghim takes the lead.
