  1. Players back outpublished at 22:15 BST 10 April 2021

As expected, play will be getting back under way imminently. The players have been making their way to the parts of the course which they left about an hour and 15 minutes ago.

Let's see how that break affects them. Here's a reminder of how the leaderboard stands...

  2. How are the Brits faring?published at 22:05 BST 10 April 2021

Other than Justin Rose, there has not been much of a British challenge at Augusta this week.

Next on the leaderboard behind the 40-year-old Englishman is Scottish debutant Bob MacIntyre.

The man from Oban, quietly-spoken but exuding confidence, said he wasn't going to simply be a tourist on his first visit - and he has been true to his word. After an entertaining opening 14 today - which included five birdies and four bogeys - he is one under par for the tournament.

Fellow Scot Martin Laird is two shots behind him after finishing with an even-par 72.

The English contingent is not faring as well. Matt Wallace, Tommy Fleetwood (both +1), Matt Fitzpatrick (+2), Ian Poulter and Tyrrell Hatton (both +3), Paul Casey (+4) are further back.

  3. A Green Jacket and $2mpublished at 21:59 BST 10 April 2021

Augusta National announced prize money figures on Saturday with the same totals as the previous two years, meaning the winner takes home $2.07m (£1.51m) from a total purse of $11.5m.

Justin Thomas, the 2017 PGA Championship winner, will overtake Dustin Johnson to become world number one if he wins the green jacket after 2020 Masters champion Johnson missed the cut.

  4. Play to resume at 22:15 BSTpublished at 21:43 BST 10 April 2021

Good news, golf fans. Play will resume at 22:15 BST (17:15 local time).

Players are heading to the range to hit a few balls before going back to where they were when play was suspended almost 45 minutes ago.

  5. 'It's set up perfectly'published at 21:42 BST 10 April 2021

A little earlier on three-time champion Phil Mickelson praised the set-up of Augusta National as "perfectly done" after carding a third round of 69.

Mickelson made four birdies and a solitary bogey to move up the leaderboard after making the cut on the mark of three over par.

"In my opinion it's set up perfect to identify the best player and the guys that are striking it well are up on the leaderboard," he said.

"You've got to hit angles into the pins. You've got to be smart. I think it's perfectly done, and it punishes you, like it did me the first couple of days, when you make mistakes or don't put it in the right spot or hit poor chips.

"I love seeing it like this because you can score low, but you also need to respect it. This was the first time in a long time where I just kept saving shots and putting it in the right spot.

"I didn't really strike it as well as I did the first few days, but I scored. I put it in the right spot. I got up and down a lot, and it felt good to shoot a number at least. It wasn't the easiest, but it felt good to shoot a number."

  6. A unique winner?published at 21:32 BST 10 April 2021

    Rose -7, Zalatoris -6 (6)

Our front two are attempting to enter Masters history, at either end of the spectrum.

Will Zalatoris would become the first player to win on their debut at Augusta National since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979, while Justin Rose would be only the second player in their 40s to win the Green Jacket this century - after Tiger Woods in 2019 - and only the eighth player to do so in Masters history.

  7. Spieth taken by surprisepublished at 21:17 BST 10 April 2021

    Spieth -4 (8)

There was talk of a bit of a storm rolling into the area around 4pm local time - 9pm here in the UK - so it's arrived right on time.

I'm not sure Jordan Spieth was sufficiently warned before the hooter was blown though...

  8. Delay of one hourpublished at 21:11 BST 10 April 2021

It's quite windy in Georgia so hopefully that will blow the storm through quite quickly.

In fact, it is being suggested that the delay may be around 45 minutes to one hour.

  9. DeChambeau will return with eagle puttpublished at 21:07 BST 10 April 2021

    DeChambeau +3 (12)

Before the klaxon sounded, Bryson DeChambeau took aim at the 13th green.

The American found his ball in a great position. In the first cut of rough with a perfect line between two trees.

"Be right," he tells his ball. It's on the green but about 50 feet from the hole. It tries to work its way back down the slope but only makes it about 10 feet before coming to a halt.

So let's use the enforced break to reflect on where we are so far on day three. Here's the leaderboard...

  12. Play suspendedpublished at 21:00 BST 10 April 2021

A Masters official sounds the horn to suspend play in round threeImage source, Reuters

Oh... an Augusta official is wandering around the seventh hole with a klaxon in his hand.

The hooter sounds seconds later and that means the play is suspended.

A storm is heading the way of the course.

The players and patrons wander off to a spot where they won't get drenched.

  13. Birdies for Spieth & Wiesbergerpublished at 21:00 BST 10 April 2021

    Spieth -4, Wiesberger -4 (8)

Things don't appear to be getting any better for Jordan Spieth after that double bogey at the last. The American hooks a long iron and hangs his arm out left.

But wait, that is some recovery... Spieth punches out of the pines, across the green and towards the bank at the back, where his balls checks and comes sliding back down towards the pin. It stops four feet short.

And remarkably, he rolls in for a birdie. Bernd Wiesberger takes a less scenic route and gets the same result.

  14. Postpublished at 20:59 BST 10 April 2021

    Harman -4, Leishman -5 (7)

Marc Leishman pays the price for landing his second in the front bunker at seven.

There's next to nothing to play with as a landing zone as he scoops his sand wedge out to within a few feet of the pin. And he has to watch his ball drift down the slope to 27 feet.

Brian Harman plays that hole well for par but has work to do to make up for dropped shots on the first, third and fourth.

  15. Postpublished at 20:58 BST 10 April 2021

    Rose -7, Zalatoris -6 (6)

A quizzical study of the yardage book indicates the bother Will Zalatoris finds himself in.

Justin Rose, on the fairway, goes first. He analyses the breeze, taking his time to get his approach right. Ending up pin high, to the right of the flag, suggest he has got it right.

Zalatoris can only go right from behind a tree, punching it out to the right of the greenside bunker with a courtesy shout of 'Fore!' to the patrons up there.

Opens up the flag nicely and presents a good chance of an up and down.

  16. Postpublished at 20:53 BST 10 April 2021

    Rose -7, Zalatoris -6 (6)

Will Zalatoris doesn't like the look of his tee shot on the seventh. And that's with some justification. The American is in the trees on the left. No such problem for Justin Rose. He's strolling down the middle.

  17. Postpublished at 20:51 BST 10 April 2021

    DeChambeau +3 (12)

"I'm so far into Narnia," says Bryson DeChambeau as he launches another huge drive down 13.

His ball is going way right, almost reaching the 14th fairway. He's talked before about trying to drive out on to the 14th to give him a better angle of approach back into the green.

We'll have to wait to see what kind of shot he has left.

  18. Postpublished at 20:51 BST 10 April 2021

    Thomas -5, Finau -3 (8)

Good opportunity for Justin Thomas on the eighth to move back within a shot of Justin Rose and into tied second.

Ten feet for the birdie... always drifting left. The world number two will have to settle for a third par on the bounce.

  19. Leaderboardpublished at 20:50 BST 10 April 2021

    -7 J Rose (6)

    -6 M Leishman (6), W Zalatoris (6)

    -5 C Conners (11), H Matsuyama (9), J Thomas (8)

    -4 X Schauffele (9), B Harman (6)

    -3 SW Kim (9), T Finau (8), J Spieth (3), B Wiesberger (3)
