  1. Bogey for Rosepublished at 00:21 BST 11 April 2021

    Rose -7, Zalatoris -7 (16)

Another lovely bunker shot from Justin Rose gives him a decent chance of a sandy save.

Will Zakatoris lines up his birdie putt... not many of these have gone in for the 24-year-old today. Neither does this one.

Rose for par... it slides left. The former world number one drops back into the pack and leaves Hideki Matsuyama with a four-shot lead.

    Harman -5, Leishman -7 (16)

Another hole ticked off by Marc Leishman and Brian Harman.

Leishman will probably feel he could have birdied that hole on another day after pushing his first putt right.

However, Harman will be pleased to walk away with a par after missing the green from the tee.

    Rose -8, Zalatoris -7 (15)

Will Zakatoris with the honour on the par-three 16th, then. A controlled tee shot lands about 20 feet from the pin.

Rose next... he's pushed it into the bunker on the right.

    Spieth -5 (16)

Jordan Spieth is having one of those rounds where he hasn't been able to get any momentum going. An early birdie followed by a bogey and then a double.

A chip-in birdie on 10 followed by four pars. A birdie on 15, followed by a bogey on 16.

A perfect drive on 17, followed by a bang average iron that sticks on the front on the green.

  5. Rose saves par, birdie for Zalatorispublished at 00:13 BST 11 April 2021

    Rose -8, Zalatoris -7 (15)

A mental reset is needed for Justin Rose as he weighs up this chip back after a sloppy hole. That's exactly what he does, chipping to within a few feet and sinking the putt.

The Englishman has been scrambling over the past few holes, but he is scrambling well.

Will Zalatoris moves back within one of his illustrious playing partner, sidling his eagle putt close to the hole and leaving him with a tap-in.

  6. Birdies for Harman & Leishmanpublished at 00:10 BST 11 April 2021

    Harman -5, Leishman -7 (15)

Good golf all round from Marc Leishman and Brian Harman on the 15th.

Both take very different routes in to the pin but both come away with very satisfactory birdies.

Because we've had a rain delay today, the players are running a little behind schedule.

That means our highlights show is starting while the live action is still going on. If you fancy a watch, it's live on BBC Two, or click here.

  8. Postpublished at 00:08 BST 11 April 2021

    Rose -8, Zalatoris -6 (14)

Justin Rose has to take his medicine after that wayward drive on the 17th, knocking out onto the fairway and about 140 yards from the green.

No such problems for Will Zalatoris. The young American confidently knocks his second over the pond and will line up an eagle putt.

Back to Rose... oh no. He has knocked a wedge way too long, over the back of the green but, thankfully for the Englishman, stopping short of more water.

  9. Leaderboardpublished at 00:04 BST 11 April 2021

    -11 H Matsuyama (18)

    -8 J Rose (14)

    -7 X Schauffele (18), M Leishman (15)

    -6 C Conners (18), W Zalatoris (14)

    -5 J Spieth (16), B Harman (15)

  10. Matsuyama holds clubhouse leadpublished at 00:03 BST 11 April 2021

    Matsuyama -11, Schauffele -7 (F)

First signs of real trouble for Hideki Matsuyama? The 29-year-old finds the bunker off the tee and can't control his second which flies over the back of the green.

It looks like a difficult up and down from there. Is it just a case of accepting a five? It doesn't look like it. He lands perfectly on the putting surface to give himself a six-footer for par.

In it goes for a seven-under-par 65 and a healthy lead at the top of the leaderboard. It's also the first bogey-free round this week and his best score in 37 rounds at the Masters.

Xander Schauffele also benefits from an excellent chip to finish off with a par.

  11. Spieth drops shotpublished at 00:02 BST 11 April 2021

    Spieth -5 (16)

Jordan Spieth hits his tee shot on the short 16th and immediately looks away in disgust. He knows that's going to end up short of the hole and rolling back down to the front edge of the green where about 80% of all shots today have ended.

He can't hit his putt hard enough though and leaves himself with an eight-footer for par. Not happening. Bogey.

  12. Postpublished at 23:58 BST 10 April 2021

    Rose -8, Zalatoris -6 (14)

Rose's demeanour is vastly different a few moments later, though. He pulls his tee shot on the 15th well left.

  13. Par for Rosepublished at 23:56 BST 10 April 2021

    Rose -8, Zalatoris -6 (14)

Important putt here for Rose... seven feet for a par which would keep him within three of Matsuyama.

The ball clips the right lip and circles around the hole before dropping in. No wonder Rose smiles and wiggles his hips... wonderful save.

  14. Birdie for Spiethpublished at 23:52 BST 10 April 2021

    Spieth -6, Wiesberger -3 (15)

Jordan Spieth leaves his eagle putt on 15 narrowly short and will have to settle for a tap-in birdie that lifts him to six under par. He's five off the lead.

  15. Postpublished at 23:52 BST 10 April 2021

    Rose -8, Zalatoris -6 (13)

Justin Rose's second on the 14th goes through the back. The Englishman looks shocked. He bumps his chip back into the fringe and bounds it up towards the hole. Good recovery.

But he won't be carding a birdie like he did at the iconic 12th...

  16. Postpublished at 23:52 BST 10 April 2021

    Harman -4, Leishman -6 (14)

A par apiece for Marc Leishman and Brian Harman on the14th but both had birdie putts and a chance to make up some ground.

  17. Leaderboardpublished at 23:49 BST 10 April 2021

    -11 H Matsuyama (17)

    -8 J Rose (13)

    -7 X Schauffele (17)

    -6 C Conners (F), M Leishman (14), W Zalatoris (13)

    -5 J Spieth (14)

  18. Postpublished at 23:48 BST 10 April 2021

    Thomas -1, Finau -4 (15)

Respite for Justin Thomas. The world number two slipped back to even par after following that triple-bogey on 13 with a bogey on 14. But a birdie on 15 will raise his spirits.

Tony Finau, playing alongside him, also birdies the par five - ending a run of nine consecutive pars - to move alongside Brian Harman in a tie for eighth.

  19. Matsuyama takes three-shot leadpublished at 23:47 BST 10 April 2021

    Matsuyama -11, Schauffele -7 (17)

Hideki Matsuyama has found just four fairways so far during the third round but he has looked in excellent form with his irons and putter.

And he shows that again on the 17th, landing his approach around 10 feet from the pin and then rolling it in for birdie.

Xander Schauffele cards another par after chipping against the flag.

  20. Postpublished at 23:46 BST 10 April 2021

    Spieth -5, Wiesberger -3 (14)

Jordan Spieth clears the water with his approach into 15, just, and it presents him with an eagle chance from 20 feet - he needs to start making inroads on the leaders.
