  1. Bogey for Woodspublished at 19:40 BST 11 August 2018

    T Woods -5 (5)

Tiger time, eyeing up a birdie putt at the fifth from long range and rolling it to the right of the pin - should tap in for par, but no!

A three-putt for the 14-time major champion, and he drops back to five under par.

  2. Birdie for Wallacepublished at 19:38 BST 11 August 2018

    M Wallace -5 (5)

No Englishman has won the PGA Championship since 1919... is this going to be the year?

Justin Rose, Ian Poulter or Tommy Fleetwood may have been the names scrawled onto your betting slips, but it is another player who is leading the English charge; Matt Wallace.

The 28-year-old, who has climbed more than 1,600 places in the world rankings since September 2015, has sunk birdies on the second and fifth to move to five under.

He also knows about putting himself in winning positions, having triumphed in nine events in his short professional career.

  3. Postpublished at 19:37 BST 11 August 2018

    R Fowler -8, D Johnson -7, C Schwartzel -7 (19:27 BST)

Dustin Johnson's drive at the first cleared Rickie Fowler's effort by some 47 yards. He flips in an approach that anchors as soon as it strikes to the smooth stuff to set him up an early birdie shot.

  4. Woodland and Kisner resume battlepublished at 19:35 BST 11 August 2018

American Gary Woodland still leads after a four-under 66 helped him set a record 36-hole score at the tournament.

At 10 under, the American is one clear of Kevin Kisner, who carded a 64.

The pair, both 34-year-old Americans who have never won a major, continued to exchange the lead in a thrilling battle on Friday.

Open Championship runner-up Kisner holed six birdies as he played his first nine holes in 29 shots to move into the lead on nine under, before successive birdies for Woodland on the second and third moved him back in front at 10 under.

A bogey on the fourth dropped him back alongside Kisner, who then birdied the seventh to move clear at 10 under.

But Woodland picked up a shot on the next to join him before Kisner bogeyed the ninth.

  5. Birdie for Kirkpublished at 19:31 BST 11 August 2018

    C Kirk -6 (8)

Chris Kirk is climbing up the charts quicker than Calvin Harris' latest track.

The American is four under for the day - taking him to six under overall - after three birdies on the spin.

Kirk hasn't reached the weekend at a major since early 2015 - then he broke his right hand playing in the garden with his kids.

Clearly he's keen to make up for lost time...

  6. 'It's going to be a long day'published at 19:30 BST 11 August 2018

    R Fowler -8, D Johnson -7, C Schwartzel -7 (19:27 BST)

Rickie Fowler heads into the third round two strokes off the lead after carding a second-round 67, which he finished off earlier today.

"It's going to be a long day," said the American, who he is still awaiting his first major win.

"If you miss a fairway the rough is thicker with the rain. The golf ball being wet makes it a little tougher to control.

"It can be dicey at times but nice that we navigated our way around and we are ready for the weekend. It's going to be a long day."

  7. Birdie for Daypublished at 19:30 BST 11 August 2018

    J Day -7 (3)

Jason Day is flying out there at Bellerive at the start of his third round.

The Australian rolls in another birdie to make it two in his opening three holes, moving him three strokes off the lead.

    Game on.

  8. Eagle!published at 19:28 BST 11 August 2018

    R Cabrera Bello -4 (9*)

How about that from Rafa Cabrera Bello?

The Spaniard fires in an eagle at the par-five 17th, playing as his eighth today, to back up a birdie three holes earlier and move to four under par for the tournament.

World number one Dustin Johnson is lurking ominously three off the lead after stringing together rounds of 66 and 67 and making it home before yesterday's storm.

The American was the pre-tournament favourite after following a missed cut in the Open Championship with victory in the Canadian Open and a tie for third in last week's WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

"I'm definitely wanting to get that second major," said the 34-year-old, whose only major title came at the US Open in 2016.

"It would mean a lot. I'm in a good position going into the weekend. I'm going to have to play a good 36 holes though if I want to have a chance to win."

  10. Birdie start for Thomaspublished at 19:20 BST 11 August 2018

    J Thomas -7 (1)

Birdies all round at the minute, with this one dropping to world number two Justin Thomas.

Great start to the third round for the American, who moves to seven under par and within touching distance of the leaders.

  11. Postpublished at 19:17 BST 11 August 2018

Going to be a tad confusing this afternoon, with the third round featuring three-balls rather than the traditional pairs at this stage of a major, and half the field starting from the 10th tee.

The leaders, though, will be playing the course as it is set.

It comes as a result of the delayed start after Friday's second round had to be completed this morning due to a postponement because of the weather yesterday.

Let's hope there will be no such storms in the St Louis area today...

  12. Birdie for Daypublished at 19:15 BST 11 August 2018

    J Day -6 (1)

The perfect start for Jason Day. He's already moving on moving day.

The 2015 champion lamps his approach on the first to about six feet, knocking in the birdie putt to go six under.

  13. McIlroy falters early onpublished at 19:13 BST 11 August 2018

    R McIlroy -2 (5)

Two bogeys in his opening five holes for Rory McIlroy, briefly interrupted by a solitary birdie at the second as the Northern Irishman stumbles back to two under par - eight off the lead.

  14. It doesn't get much better - Lowrypublished at 19:11 BST 11 August 2018

Ireland's Shane Lowry put the finishing touches to a bogey-free 64, his lowest round in a major, when play resumed on Saturday morning.

The 31-year-old negotiated his remaining eight holes in three under to move to seven under par.

"It's great. Obviously things haven't been going well for me this year (but) the last few weeks have been good," said Lowry.

"I have my brother on the bag and he's doing a great job, really enjoyed it. And now we're going out on a Saturday afternoon in the mix at the PGA, it's great.

"I have my dad here to watch. It doesn't get much better. I didn't think we were going to get called off yesterday and I was going along lovely so I was probably a little bit disappointed.

"To be able to come back out this morning and play nicely was good. This morning two birdies was my goal to get to six under. To get to seven was lovely."

Tiger Woods completed his second round by carding a four-under 66 this morning and said it was "a nice way" to start the day - it's been a nice start to his third round, too.

The 14-time major champion moved to four under par earlier on Saturday and has quickly added to that with back-to-back birdies on his return to Bellerive this afternoon.

"Hopefully I can go shoot a low one. It's going to take that. I just have to make birdies," said the 42-year-old after completing his second round.

So far, so good for Tiger.

  18. We go again...published at 19:00

Half the field have already been out this morning to complete their second rounds, with those who made the cut returning for a third crack at Bellerive this afternoon.

Most of the leading pack were already home and hosed by the time yesterday's storm struck, but Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry were among today's early birds to muscle in on the frontrunners.

Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Justin Rose and co are all already out, so let's dive straight into the action...
