  1. Koepka re-establishes leadpublished at 21:47 BST 11 August 2018

    B Koepka -12, G Woodland -11, K Kisner -9 (8)

Gary Woodland is yet to record a top-10 major finish in 27 attempts. He's moving towards ending that run and then some at Bellerive.

Superb approach into the green, rolling his eagle putt from 40 feet up alongside the cup and then tapping in for a birdie that sees him re-join the lead...

But only for a moment. Brooks Koepka leaves himself a very makeable putt for a birdie of his own, and duly prods it home to move back out on his lonesome at the top.

  2. Birdie for Molinaripublished at 21:45 BST 11 August 2018

    Molinari -8 (10)

That group has another member. Francesco Molinari cans a birdie putt on the 10th to move onto eight under alongside Tiger Woods, Pat Perez, Shane Lowry and Justin Thomas. What a super-group that would be.

  3. Birdie for Perezpublished at 21:43 BST 11 August 2018

    P Perez -8 (9)

If there's a more rock'n'roll golfer out there on tour than Pat Perez I've not seen him. The greasy-haired American loves to cuss during his rounds - but there isn't much of that today. Or if there is then it is only to emphasise his delight.

Three birdies in six holes shove him up the leaderboard into that group on eight under.

  4. Birdie for Fowlerpublished at 21:40 BST 11 August 2018

    R Fowler -10 (8)

Not sure if Brooks Koepka and Gary Woodland are aware of what's going on up ahead of them, but Rickie Fowler is making his move...

A second birdie in three holes for the American, storming his way through the par-five eighth, to move to 10 under par and one shot off the lead.

    J Spieth -4 (12)

Jordan Spieth slithers down the leaderboard like he's just landed on a reptile playing Snakes and Ladders.

He has a good go at that putt on the 12th green, ball slipping just past the left edge. That's a triple-bogey seven for the three-time major winner.

  6. Postpublished at 21:37 BST 11 August 2018

    B Koepka -11, G Woodland -10, K Kisner -9 (7)

Long par-five for Koepka and co... although you'd fancy the leader to nail it up to the green in two. Gary Woodland cracks his second shot straight on to the good stuff and that'll leave him a lengthy eagle putt. Keeping the pressure on his countryman.

    J Spieth -7 (11)

Another major, another Spieth meltdown. The man chasing the career Grand Slam knocks on to the 12th green for five after taking a penalty shot, but he's missed the top deck and has a tricky putt up the hill...

    R McIlroy (-2)

Rory McIlroy for birdie on 14.... down the throat of the hole. Back down to one over for the day after a double bogey on the 12th derailed him.

  10. Postpublished at 21:25 BST 11 August 2018

    J Spieth -7 (11)

Uh oh. Jordan Spieth's hard work could be undone on the 12th. He's knocked his drive into the trees, then whacks his second off the bark into another and the ball flies off to the right somewhere. He has to hit a provisional and then hopes for the best...

What I do like is the fact the temperatures are warm, that helps keep the muscles loose and what I see from Tiger is an intense focus - and it's for more than just nine holes. I also like the fact he's changing his shirt too. It's a smart move on his part, keeping himself fresh.

    T Woods -8 (11)

The get-in-the-hole idiots seems to be having their annual convention at Bellerive. Every Tiger shot is greeted by the most annoying phrase in golf.

To be fair, he's playing so well that knocking in from 113 yards on the 11th isn't out of the question.

Ah, it is on this occasion. Another green in reg for Woods as he knocks on, leaving him with a putt from 20 feet which he can't convert. A par will have to do.

  13. Birdie for Scottpublished at 21:19 BST 11 August 2018

    A Scott -9 (8)

A fourth birdie of the day for Adam Scott and now the Australian is really in the mix!

A round to rival Jordan Spieth and Tiger Woods' so far today. Two off the lead...

  14. Postpublished at 21:17 BST 11 August 2018

    B Koepka -11, G Woodland -10, K Kisner -9 (7)

Another birdie putt from Gary Woodland that doesn't quite have the legs. "Hit it..." he's probably screaming in his head.

Kevin Kisner does hit his, but watches it break too far left as it scuttles on beyond the cup.

Brooks Koepka gives it just the perfect weight as he nudges a birdie putt pin-bound, but again it wobbles right and stays up. Inches away for the leader.

  15. Postpublished at 21:07 BST 11 August 2018

    R Fowler -9, D Johnson -6, C Schwartzel -8 (7)

Chance for back-to-back birdies for Rickie Fowler...

He clips his approach on to the back of the seventh green, 10 feet from the flag with an uphill right to left putt to come.

The American looks to have caught the line. It wobbles slightly, kisses the cup and just lips out.

    Unlucky. He stays two back.

  17. Woods saves parpublished at 21:05 BST 11 August 2018

    T Woods -8 (10)

Hold on... Tiger is scrambling on the long par-four 10th. The bad news for those of you who want to see a Woods win is a 10-foot par putt awaits. The good news is that he's been making these for fun.

A slight right-to-left slide... good pace... judged to perfection. Tiger fist pumps, the crowd go wild. He is in the zone.

Stays at eight under, three behind leader Brooks Koepka.

    R Fowler -9, D Johnson -6, C Schwartzel -8 (6)

    Oh hello, Rickie Fowler.

The American, still chasing his first major win, tickles in his first birdie of the day to move to nine under par - that's two strokes off the lead.

He's already been out on the course this morning, Fowler, as one of those who was unable to finish their second round because of the storm yesterday.
