That's all from us on a frustrating weather-affected day at the Scottish Open.

American Johnny Keefer is the clubhouse leader at 10 under. Two players yet to finish their third rounds - Matt Fitzpatrick and Michael Thorbjornsen - are on 11 under.

Rory McIlroy, having been among the leaders overnight, has struggled today and has dropped back to six under.

We will be back tomorrow for the conclusion of this tournament - see you all then.

    We have now got confirmation.

    Round 3

Play will restart at 07:00 BST on Sunday morning.

    Round 4

This will be a one-tee start in three-balls and will not start before 10:15.

  3. Postpublished at 20:34 BST

We are now hearing that play will resume tomorrow at 07:00 BST.

Hopefully that will be announced officially soon.

  4. Postpublished at 20:34 BST

There is no way there will be any more play this evening, given how bad the fog remains.

What we're really waiting for is to hear how and when they plan to complete the third round.

With The Open next week, the likelihood of a Monday finish is nearly nil.

    Keefer -10 (64)

Clubhouse leader Johnny Keefer: "I showed up, and I was, I wouldn't say pleasantly delayed, but it was nice to kind of take my time and be able to eat twice before going off and teeing off.

"I just stayed in my routine. You know, chilled for a little bit, and then got going.

"Me and Joe, my caddie, went and practised a little bit before. But not too much.

"The theme of links golf is being creative and being flexible, and understanding that things that are usually going to happen sometimes don't.

"And whether that's a good shot or whether that's just the weather, I think I had the mindset this week that anything can change, and I knew that it was going to be a little colder so I could kind of prep a little bit.

"The wind has gotten up. It's switched directions three times in the week that we've been here. Yeah, just kind of going with the flow."

While we continue to wait for an update, let's hear from the clubhouse leader Johnny Keefer, who spoke to the media not long ago.

While we haven't heard any more, it feels incredibly unlikely that play will resume tonight.

    Visibility is really really poor.

    Roy -10 (16)

Just before the horn went, America's Kevin Roy failed to get up-and-down at 16 for his par.

He drops back to 10 under, one behind Matt Fitzpatrick and Michael Thorbjornsen.

Play has been suspended again at The Renaissance Club.

    I hear a horn.

  11. Fitzpatrick drops out of solo leadpublished at 19:54 BST

    McIlroy -6, M. Fitzpatrick -11 (7)

After a solid bunker shot, Matt Fitzpatrick can't save his par and has to settle for a bogey, and with it, he surrenders his outright lead.

Rory McIlroy finds a glimmer of hope though, as he recovers well for his par.

    T. Kim -9, J. Smith -10 (7)

Tom Kim will be gutted to walk off the seventh green with just a par.

He played the par-five pretty well, but his seven-foot birdie putt doesn't drop.

Jordan Smith takes advantage though after a monster eagle putt leaves him a tap-in for birdie.

  13. Postpublished at 19:52 BST

    Thorbjornsen -11 (13)

Michael Thorbjornsen gets to 11 under.

The American makes it back-to-back birdies - and will fancy his chances of a third in a row with the short par-four 14th hole up next.

    McIlroy -6, M. Fitzpatrick -12 (7)

Matt Fitzpatrick muscles an iron out of some tall grass.

He does well to get it out, he thinks anyway, he can't see where it lands, given how dense the fog is now.

A rude awakening as he wanders up... it's in the bunker. He'll splash that out onto the green.

Rory McIlroy puts his second through the green but dinks it back to give himself a look at par.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the fog is starting to roll in again.

    It's getting pretty gloomy.

  17. Fitzpatrick takes solo lead as McIlroy toilspublished at 19:39 BST

    McIlroy -6, M. Fitzpatrick -12 (7)

Matt Fitzpatrick is feeling it today.

He drains an 11-footer for another birdie and takes the outright lead at the Scottish Open.

Conversely, it's another wobble from Rory McIlroy who bogeys the par five to drop further behind.

  18. Postpublished at 19:36 BST

    McIlroy -7, M. Fitzpatrick -11 (6)

Matt Fitzpatrick does well to get out of the rough with a composed chip that runs out to ten or so feet long. He'll be pretty pleased with that effort there.

Next up, Rory McIlroy's fourth shot, and it's from off the green.

    Wedge? Putter?

The latter is his choice, rolling it short to set up a par-saving attempt.

    MacIntyre -9 (8)

Bob MacIntyre gives his ball a good long stare after it slips past the hole. A good birdie chance goes begging after a cracking approach.

Nine under the Scot remains as he heads to the par-three ninth.

  20. McIlroy strugglingpublished at 19:32 BST

    McIlroy -7, M. Fitzpatrick -11 (6)

Rory McIlroy's second on the par-five seventh is coming out of thick, thick rough down the left-hand side.

He can't get any real purchase on the ball and only advances it about 10 yards before his third attempt comes up short of the green.

Matt Fitzpatrick is hitting his second from the short stuff, but lands it short and left of the green in a patch of rough.
