  1. Right off the teepublished at 23:37 BST 21 June

    Clark -4, Scheffler E (17)

The 18th is a 490-yard par four, which today has played as the third hardest hole on the course - just six birdies here all day, but 44 pars which is all Wyndham Clark needs.

He gets his drive away but it slides away to the right and into the first cut of rough.

There's been three pars made from around that same spot here today and two bogeys - none of those scores were made with the US Open on the line though.

  2. Par the last to winpublished at 23:33 BST 21 June

    Clark -4, Scheffler E (17)

Right then Wyndham Clark, what have you got? He's been battling some demons, some bad swings and some noisy fans but now after such a draining day he needs a par on 18 to win the US Open.

    Will he do it?

  3. Postpublished at 23:31 BST 21 June

    Kim -1 (17)

Tom Kim won't win this US Open, but he's given it an admirable run.

After the bogey on 17, he delights the crowd packed into the grandstand on 18 with an absolute pearler. He could sell that approach to Wyndham Clark for a few shillings.

    Hope he makes it.

    That ratchets up the pressure.

  5. Miss!published at 23:30 BST 21 June

    Clark -4, Scheffler E (17)

    He missed it!

Wyndham Clark stands motionless over his putt, then pulls out and backs off, leading to huge murmurs in the crowd.

He tries to regain his focus again but then when he does swing his putter he pulls his six footer left of the hole! That's a bogey and a one-shot lead down the last.

  6. Big putt coming up...published at 23:28 BST 21 June

    Clark -5, Scheffler E (16)

Wyndham Clark has 70 feet on 17 after a conservative tee shot, and it's quite a conservative first putt too - which leaves 'one of those' for par.

    Big putt coming up.

That's what it means for Wyndham Clark.

Whereas this was Sam Burns a little earlier after missing his birdie putt on 18.

These are the margins at this level.

  8. Decisive bogey for Kimpublished at 23:21 BST 21 June

    Kim -1 (17)

Tom Kim tries to chunk and run one out of the bunker at 17 but he catches too much sand and comes up 20 feet short.

This simply has to go in. Nope, he played for too much break from the right and that's his race run (well, assuming he doesn't hole out for a two on 18).

    What a putt that was.

Talk about deadweight. Absolutely dead centre.

That was terrific - absolutely terrific.

  10. Huge birdie for Clark!published at 23:20 BST 21 June

    Clark -5, Scheffler E (16)

Wyndham Clark celebratesImage source, Getty Images

Scottie Scheffler is absolutely fuming as his lengthy birdie putt on 16 takes a big bobble that just kills the speed - and it pulls up just a few inches short of the hole.

Wyndham Clark, though, manages to drain his birdie try from 24 feet and that could be the dagger to the rest of the field.

There's at least a few supporters in the crowd cheering him on as Clark gives it a massive fist pump - he obviously feels that could just about be that as he moves two in front and needing two pars to win his second US Open.

  11. Choose the winnerpublished at 23:14 BST 21 June

I make it only four players left in the hunt.

So who is your money on?

  12. Driver off the deck alert!published at 23:14 BST 21 June

    Clark -4, Scheffler E (15)

    Scottie SchefflerImage source, Getty Images

Scottie Scheffler is a desperate man - how do we know this? Well, he's just pulled the big dog out on the 16th fairway and had a crack at the par five.

It doesn't quite come off as it's flown off to the right, as often happens with these modern players who seem to all fade the ball, and his ball nestles down in the rough still about 80 yards short of the green.

  13. Kim finds bunkerpublished at 23:13 BST 21 June

    Kim -2 (16)

    Oh, Tom.

That's a big shove with an eight-iron at the par-three 17th and he finds the sand. He'll need to get up and down and somehow find a three at the last to tie Burns.

  14. 'Superb shot'published at 23:12 BST 21 June

    Clark -4, Scheffler E (15)

    Andrew Murray
Former European Tour winner on 5 Live

You have to be so strong to actually get the club and the shaft through that stuff and make contact without the club flipping over and going left on you.

Absolutely superb shot from Wyndham Clark - well thought out and good teamwork between him and his caddie.

  15. Three pars enough?published at 23:11 BST 21 June

    Clark -4, Scheffler E (15)

    US OpenImage source, Getty Images

Sam Burns can do no more, Scottie Scheffler is four back, Tom Kim could be a danger but can't put a foot wrong now.

Will three pars in his final three holes be enough for Wyndham Clark?

He doesn't start off too well by hitting his drive on 16 into the rough, but he's pulled a decent lie and just hammers his second back onto the fairway.

  16. Kim moves two backpublished at 23:09 BST 21 June

    Kim -2 (16)

    Tom KimImage source, Getty Images

Tom Kim has given himself a chance at 16.

Ten feet for birdie and to move within two.

It's there! One more birdie and he'll match the target set by Sam Burns just a few moments ago.

A gutsy performance by a player who's shown little form over the past couple of years.

  17. Postpublished at 23:06 BST 21 June

    Burns -3 (67)

Sam Burns closes his eyes and throws his head back as he slumps into his seat before signing his card.

Frustration etched across his face, but this ain't over yet!

  18. The final threepublished at 23:06 BST 21 June

    Clark -4 (15)

Three holes left: 16th is 2nd easiest, 18 is 3rd hardest

This is going to get squeaky.

  19. Scottie slides one bypublished at 23:05 BST 21 June

    Clark -4, Scheffler E (15)

Scottie Scheffler has 14 feet from a similar angle to Wyndham Clark and this just has to go to pile some pressure on his playing partner..

But it's no good! The strike is good but he's not read it correctly as it stays out to the left and now Scheffler is left needing snookers - four behind with three holes to play.

They're a tough three holes though so anything can happen.

  20. Postpublished at 23:05 BST 21 June

    Burns -3 (67)

    Iain Carter
BBC golf correspondent on BBC Radio 5 Live

It looked at the hole but just peeled away at the last.

What a gutsy effort - but Sam Burns will be ruing that three-putt a few moments ago.
