  1. Can Dons stop the rot?published at 14:49 BST 18 April

AFC Wimbledon v Plymouth (12:30 BST)

AFC Wimbledon are in wretched form going into the game against Plymouth. The Dons are on a five-game losing streak and have not managed a goal any of those games.

With Johnnie Jackson's side just picking up one point in their past eight outings, they are sitting just above the drop zone in 20th with three points separating themselves and Exeter, who take on Stockport later.

Simply put, a win is crucial here to give them some breathing space. If they do just that, they will claim a first league double over Plymouth after 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture in October last year.

Tom Cleverley's side currently sit ninth in the table, and four points off sixth-placed Stevenage, with four games to go as they continue their quest of a play-off place.

The Pilgrims could only manage a draw against struggling Exeter last time out after a Malachi Boateng equaliser in stoppage-time earned them a 2-2 draw.

In November, they were bottom of League One, so to be in play-off contention at this stage of the season is quite remarkable.

  2. Grecians and County in big game for both ends of tablepublished at 14:47 BST 18 April

    Exeter v Stockport (15:00 BST)

This is why we love this stage of the season. Two sides with a lot at stake at different ends of the table.

Exeter are fighting relegation, while Stockport just about still chasing automatic promotion - but more realistically hoping to strengthen their grip on a play-off spot.

The Grecians have kept themselves within three points of safety after ending a 15-game winless run with victory over Doncaster 12 days ago, before backing it up with a valuable point in the Devon derby at Plymouth last weekend.

Exeter could do with a favour from their south-west rivals this afternoon as Argyle travel to 20th-placed AFC Wimbledon.

As for County, they need to win to keep any faint hopes of a top-two finish alive and hope that Cardiff drop points at Reading.

Stockport are six points clear of Luton in seventh and would be on the cusp of sealing a play-off berth with a win, if the southern Hatters lose.

  3. Royal road to promotion for Bluebirds?published at 14:46 BST 18 April

    Reading v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

Cardiff players warm upImage source, Shutterstock

This could be the day for Cardiff City as they look to seal promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking following relegation last season.

It has been a bit more of a crawl to the finish line rather than a sprint for the Bluebirds with just one win in their past five games (D3 L1).

But victory at Reading this afternoon and anything but a Stockport win at Exeter will seal the deal.

A draw would also be enough for Brian Barry-Murphy's side if County lose following Bradford's draw at Barnsley earlier.

The Royals' ambitions of a play-off spot have taken a major blow in recent weeks with two consecutive defeats and just one win in five leaving them five points behind sixth-placed Stevenage, who have a game in hand on them.

Reading have to win to maintain any faint hopes of overhauling those above them.

  7. 'That game had everything'published at 14:41 BST 18 April

    FT: Barnsley 2-2 Bradford

    Gary Jones
Former Bradford City captain on BBC Radio Leeds

That game had everything, goals, red cards, chances everywhere.

Bradford City have shot themselves in the foot massively, they had got themselves back in the game after how poor they were in the first half.

Bradford goalkeeper Sam Walker had the game in his hands, you can't just boot the ball down to the opposition keeper. He had to kick it wide, you can't have that from an experienced keeper like Walker.

It just allowed Barnsley to have one more attack and they nicked a draw.

Here's how those lunchtime results leave things in League One.

Bolton will seal a play-off spot if Luton lose at Mansfield and Plymouth fail to beat AFC Wimbledon. Bradford will be forced to wait at least a few more days.

Cardiff can go up with a win at Reading if Stockport fail to beat Exeter. A draw will be enough for the Bluebirds if County lose.

Port Vale will be down if they lose and AFC Wimbledon avoid defeat.

  9. 'What a finish!'published at 14:30 BST 18 April

    FT: Bolton 3-3 Huddersfield

Ibrahim Cissoko is celebrating with the fans!

What a finish! Huddersfield must wonder what they have to do to win against Bolton.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:30 BST 18 April

    Barnsley 2-2 Bradford

A stoppage time equaliser from Leo Farrell denies Bradford a first win at Oakwell since 1999.

Barnsley played with 10 men for most of the game when Vimal Yoganathan was shown a straight red after just eight minutes for a reckless challenge on Ibou Touray.

They held their own from then on going in 0-0 at half-time to then take the lead through Eoghan O'Connell in the second half.

But Bradford soon made the extra man count to come back after Nick Powell's equaliser and a Marc Roberts' own goal looked to be enough for them to seal the win, but Conor Hourihane's side were not done as Farrell rescued a point for the Tykes.

    Quite a Yorkshire derby.

    Bolton 3-3 Huddersfield

A late, late hammer blow by Bolton to all but end Huddersfield's faint play-off hopes.

What an incredible game of football we have just witnessed. The Town players look desolate.

The Terriers led 3-1 after turning the game on its head in 14 second-half minutes in which Wanderers were reduced to 10 men.

But a Johnny Kenny effort from a tight angle and Ibrahim Cissoko's curling strike in the 11th minute of stoppage time earns Bolton a point.

OH. MY. WORD. In the 101st minute of the game!

Ibrahim Cissoko cuts in from the right and curls an absolute beauty into the far corner to rescue a point for 10-man Bolton.

For the third game in a row, Huddersfield have conceded a stoppage time equaliser.

  13. goal

GOAL: Barnsley 2-2 Bradfordpublished at 14:27 BST 18 April

    Leo Farrell (90+6 mins)

Wow, bedlam at Oakwell as 10-man Barnsley find a leveller deep into stoppage time!

Reyes Cleary squares it across goal for Leo Farrell who slides in to put it into the back of the net.

What fight from the home side.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:27 BST 18 April

    Bolton 2-3 Huddersfield

Lasse Sorensen goes to ground high up the pitch for Huddersfield and falls on the ball - and the ref says he's handballed it and into the book he goes.

Still playing. Into the 100th minute we go.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:26 BST 18 April

    Barrow 1-3 Walsall

Barrow have been outplayed and outclassed this afternoon by a Walsall team with nothing to play for.

A first-half goal from Albert Adomah for his sixth of the season, followed by a Mason Hancock double, have given the Saddlers all three points.

The Bluebirds scored a late consolation goal from Jovan Malcom.

Barrow struggled to make any clear chances to make a game of it and will be looking at the teams above them, hoping they can drop points.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:26 BST 18 April

    Swindon 2-2 Accrington

It’s a huge result in the automatic play-off race as Swindon conceded a late equaliser from Luke Butterfield to draw 2-2 with Accrington

The Reds took a very early lead thanks to Josh Woods, suggesting a difficult afternoon for the home side.

Ollie Palmer responded with a fine finish to equalise, then two minutes later Aaron Drinan added a second to lead.

Ian Holloway's side did very little to create a third and after a flurry of Accrington attacks late-on, they snatched the equaliser.

The Robins are now three points behind Cambridge United in the automatic promotion race, but have just two games left.

You can't say they haven't deserved it, as Luke Butterfield smashes in to an empty net at close-range.

It's great combination play to create the opening.

Ian Holloway will be absolutely furious as his side were dragging themselves to a win.
