    Norwich 0-0 Charlton

Norwich boss Philippe Clement has shuffled his pack for the second half as his side bid to unlock the Charlton defence and secure a third straight home win.

Jacob Wright and Tony Springett are introduced, with Anis Ben Slimane and Matej Jurasek making way.

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:05 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

An excellent touch and hit from Polish winger Przemyslaw Placheta sees him go close to regaining Oxford's lead from outside the box but Gavin Bazunu gets across well to his right to make a very good save.

    West Brom 0-2 Bristol City

West Brom are stagnating by the season. They remind me of a Sheffield Wednesday and a Derby making-up-the-numbers type of club. Owners that talk the talk and that’s it.

    Chris, South Staffordshire

West Brom need to dispose of Ryan Mason, get an experienced manager in and build for next season. This season is over at the moment.

    Coventry 0-0 Swansea

The leaders are already under way in the second half and they will feel they maybe should have a second.

Good cross from Milan van Ewijk, where it's met on the run by Jack Rudoni in the air, but he glances his header well, well wide.

  5. SECOND HALFpublished at 16:02 GMT 26 December 2025

    #bbcefl

A total of 10 goals in our nine 3pm games in that first half.

Only three sides winning, though, let's see what happens in the next hour.

  6. 'We're the nearly team'published at 16:02 GMT 26 December 2025

    HT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

We've had lots of good opportunities but haven't been able to put the ball in the net.

I want to see Micah Hamilton get into the game and have a go at the full-back because he's got electric pace, and it's not just him that goes for the team.

We're the nearly team, good teams put the ball in the back of net, that's the only thing missing for Boro.

Big shout-out to my grandad, Gordon, attending the Leicester game, two days after his 100th birthday!

    James, Scarborough

Many happy returns, Gordon, from everyone at BBC Sport!

  8. 'Hopefully both teams can find their shooting boots'published at 15:56 GMT 26 December 2025

    HT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

    Kevin Gallacher
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

It's a decent game of football for neutrals.

Boro came out the traps trying to hurt Blackburn, it didn't really happen.

Neither team really able to take their chances, we go in level and hopefully both teams can find their shooting boots for the second half.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 GMT 26 December 2025

    West Brom 0-2 Bristol City

Bristol City players celebrate with Anis MehmetiImage source, Shutterstock

Plenty for West Brom to ponder at the interval - they haven't lost in their last seven games at The Hawthorns but they're facing an uphill battle to extend that record.

Anis Mehmeti and Ross McCrorie the players on target for the Robins.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

Todd Cantwell tries to dribble past Middlesbrough's Morgan WhittakerImage source, Shutterstock

Morgan Whittaker has come the closest in hitting the post for Middlesbrough, but don't think this is all Boro.

Blackburn have competed as equals and Yuki Ohashi squandered a great chance on the break.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

We remain goalless at the break at the Bet365 Stadium.

Little of goalmouth action to tell you about in truth, but Ashley Phillips went close before the interval, diverting Sorba Thomas' cross just wide of the Preston goal.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 GMT 26 December 2025

    Leicester 1-1 Watford.

Othmane Maamma celebrates scoring against LeicesterImage source, Shutterstock

It is 1-1 at the break at the King Power Stadium!

Jordan James gave Leicester the early lead, finding the bottom corner past Egil Selvik.

The Hornets had a goal disallowed before Othmane Maamma bent in a beautiful finish with the outside of his right foot to grab them an equaliser just before the interval.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 GMT 26 December 2025

    Portsmouth 1-0 QPR

Terry Devlin's third goal of the campaign, in the final minute of the half, ensures Portsmouth go in ahead at the break.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 GMT 26 December 2025

    Sheff Wed 1-1 Hull

Svante Ingelsson caught Hull napping to put the bottom side ahead with a shock goal, but Mohamed Belloumi's strike has Hull on terms.

The side from Humberside will want more in the second half.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

Coventry goalscorer Ephron Mason-Clark is congratulated by his team-matesImage source, Shutterstock

The Championship is taking place and Coventry are winning. Normal service by this season's standards.

Frustrated for large periods, they have found a way to lead with that late Ephron Mason-Clark strike.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

Half-time and we remain all-square at the Kassam Stadium.

The U's took the lead against the run of play when Tyler Goodrham hit a terrific strike from outside the box which found itself past Gavin Bazunu.

The Saints levelled six minutes later, however, when Taylor Harwood-Bellis headed home a Leo Scienza free-kick from the right.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 GMT 26 December 2025

    Norwich 0-0 Charlton

It's been all Norwich, but they've no goals to show for it as yet.

  18. 'What a tremendous finish'published at 15:48 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

We needed something to light this game up!

What a tremendous finish from Ephron Mason-Clark, that's not easy, he spins and fires it into the roof of the net.

Coventry have got themselves into the lead at just the right time.

It's a really confident finish, he's facing the wrong way, he hits it with his left foot and there's no doubt about it he knows where the back of the net is.

    Othmane Maamma (45 mins)

The Hornets level just before the break!

The ball is played into the path of Othmane Maamma and, with the outside of his right foot, he audaciously finds the far corner with an impudent finish.

Maamma goes over to celebrate with the travelling Watford fans in the corner of the King Power Stadium.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:46 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

Leo Scienza is played in on goal but rattles the woodwork at the near post with his left foot!
