  3. 'I think he's a lucky lad to just get the yellow'published at 16:41 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

    Gary Hunt
    BBC Radio Lancashire Sport

Hayden Hackney could go for this, he's lashed out there.

I think he's a lucky lad to just get the yellow, he's kicked out in frustration.

That's a red, the referee was five to 10 yards away.

  4. Postpublished at 16:41 GMT 26 December 2025

    Norwich 1-0 Charlton

Norwich might have wrapped this up but for Thomas Kaminski.

Jacob Wright tees up an opening for Oscar Schwartau but his shot is pushed clear by the diving Charlton keeper.

So a few more fingernails to be bitten among the Carrow Road crowd before they can celebrate another victory...

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:41 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

Wowsers! Hayden Hackney is a very, very lucky boy!!

Hackney loses the ball and launches an absolute hack at his opponent, Taylor Gardner-Hickman, which gets nowhere near the ball.

That surely is a red card, but referee James Bell decides otherwise.

  6. Postpublished at 16:40 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

A good corner from the Stoke right looks destined for Ben Gibson but he is unable to get the required contact.

Stoke recycle the ball and Bae Jun-ho hits a shot on the half-turn but slips at the vital moment and can't get enough power on it.

  7. Postpublished at 16:38 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

Coventry are living a bit dangerously with this one-goal lead.

But its importance is precious. They are the only side in the top five to be winning.

And they breathe another sigh of relief as Zeidane Inoussa has a shooting chance in the box and goes for power.

The shot is landing just about......now!

  8. WHAT A SAVEpublished at 16:38 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

    What a save Jamie Cumming!

Finn Azaz does well to dig out the cross and Ryan Fraser heads the ball back to Adam Armstrong who hits a volley cleanly from six yards out.

Armstrong thinks he's scored for the visitors but Cumming sticks out a right leg to deny him.

Simply stunning from the Oxford shot-stopper, who keeps his side level.

The more possession Saints have, the worse they play. They’ve had close to 70% today.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

That is what you want from your players, as Luke Ayling absolutely launches into a sliding block when Moussa Baradji takes aim inside the box for Blackburn.

Veteran defender Ayling doing a great job for his team there.

  11. CLOSE!published at 16:35 GMT 26 December 2025

    West Brom 0-2 Bristol City

You'd put your house on Aune Heggebo putting in any chance that comes his way right now - but the striker squanders a good opportunity to get West Brom back in the game.

Samuel Iling-Junior whips over an inviting cross but Heggebo nods it wide and Bristol City's two-goal advantage remains intact.

  12. Postpublished at 16:34 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

Another chance for Swansea, if not as good as that one for Liam Cullen.

This one is for sub Melker Widell, but he's pretty wide and the angle is too tight and it is straight at Carl Rushworth.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:33 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

Daniel Jebbison is off for Preston and on in his place is Alfie Devine.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:33 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

This looks like another defensive problem for Kim Hellberg and Middlesbrough.

He has lost Alfie Jones and George Edmundson already to injury and now Matt Targett is having to go off, after going down in the box.

Alex Bangura is on in his place.

  15. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 16:30 GMT 26 December 2025

    Norwich 1-0 Charlton

A spate of bookings for referee Matt Donohue to deal with.

Goalscorer Jovon Makama and Charlton goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski have both had their names taken after an altercation and Canaries defender Harry Darling also followed them into the book.

The most important statistic, though, is the one goal scored by Makama earlier in this second half.

  16. Postpublished at 16:30 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

Filip Krastev bursts through midfield but his shot from the edge of the box is well blocked by a Southampton defender and falls very kindly into the grateful gloves of Gavin Bazunu.

    West Brom 0-2 Bristol City

What Bristol City lack in squad, they compensate in a belief in themselves and each other. At the moment, Struberball is paying dividends.

    Peter, Kent

  18. Postpublished at 16:30 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

Blackburn are not simply parking the bus here.

Young right wing-back Matty Litherland is right up with the attack as he gets on the end of a move, but his right-foot drive is straight at Sol Brynn.

Rovers have not lost any of their last 10 league visits to the Riverside, and they seem to be feeding off those good vibes.

  19. Postpublished at 16:29 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

Again, Stanley Mills does well to get in behind the Southampton defence but the visitors snuff out the danger at the vital moment.

  20. CLOSE!published at 16:28 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

Never mind close, Swansea should be level!

A lovely cross from Ethan Galbraith picks out Liam Cullen at the back post. He could head it, but he decides to volley it and scoops it over from six yards.

Big, big chance and Cullen missed it.
