Pompey lead on the stroke of half-time!

Conor Chaplin's corner is half-cleared by Amadou Mbengue and falls to Terry Devlin, who rifles through a crowd of players and into the corner.

Deserved reward for the home side's performance in this first half.

    Ephron Mason-Clark (44 mins)

Just before half-time and the leaders hit the front.

The long throw proves to be decisive for Coventry as Milan van Ewijk hurls one into the box.

Luke Woolfenden is up causing problems and when it drops, Ephron Mason-Clark spins on a sixpence and finds the roof of the net from about six yards.

An eighth goal from Mason-Clark - a real striker's goal this, the speed with which he spun and finished.

  3. CLOSE!published at 15:45 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

Harrison Armstrong goes down in the box before Thierry Small curls a low effort towards the corner but Stoke keeper Viktor Johannson gets down well to make a save to his left.

    Norwich 0-0 Charlton

Can Norwich find a way in front before half-time?

They've come close again, with Charlton again struggling to clear a set-piece and the ball eventually fell to Matej Jurasek, who was denied at close range by Thomas Kaminski.

  5. I do worry about us at times defensively'published at 15:44 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

You look at us as a team, going forward we are a good side, but I do worry about us at times defensively.

It feels far too open at times, gone are the times that we're water-tight and we don't let much past us.

It's become a ding-dong battle, both teams have had chances.

  6. Postpublished at 15:44 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

A corner is only partially dealt with by Southampton and Brian De Keersmaecker lets fly but his effort is well off target.

Certainly a shoot on sight policy from Oxford, so far.

  7. 'That's Coventry's best chance of the game'published at 15:43 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 0-0 Swansea

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

It's a great save from Vigouroux.

Ellis Simms has headed it down, with power, but it's probably too close to his boots so as it bounced up it gives Vigouroux a chance to catch it, the bounce took the pace out of it.

That's Coventry's best chance of the game.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:43 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 0-0 Swansea

Top stuff in the Swansea goal from Lawrence Vigouroux to keep things level.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto stands up the cross to the back stick where Ellis Simms powers in a strong downward header that bounces down and Vigouroux somehow claws out on the line, with goalline technology proving that the ball did not cross it.

    Great, great save.

After a fairly quiet start this game has come to life at the Kassam.

Harwood-Bellis will be delighted to head his side level after his earlier clearance fell to Goodrham who beautifully struck the ball home for the opener.

When Oxford get forward the home crowd up the noise and really believe they can get at this Saints backline.

The U's have been better on the ball these past few minutes.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:40 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

    Blow for the home side.

Aaron Cresswell has gone down holding his favoured left leg and is replaced by Ben Gibson.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:39 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

My goodness me, this is close!

Morgan Whittaker was denied by Aynsley Pears earlier this half and this is even closer. He takes aim with his right foot and hits the inside of the near post and sees it rush across, just beyond the far post.

So unlucky for the ex-Plymouth player.

  12. Postpublished at 15:38 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

Sorba Thomas looks to get in behind the Preston defence but Pol Valentin, on a yellow card, does well to block the Welshman's cross.

Thomas' resulting corner is really poor and misses out everyone in the middle.

  13. goal

GOAL: Sheff Wed 1-1 Hullpublished at 15:38 GMT 26 December 2025

    Mohamed Belloumi (37 mins)

No mistake this time from Mohamed Belloumi and the Tigers are level.

Good pass from Matt Crooks into his path and the little Algerian cuts inside his marker and from just inside the area, drills a low left-footer past Pierce Charles.

  14. Postpublished at 15:37 GMT 26 December 2025

    Norwich 0-0 Charlton

Norwich go close again as Charlton fail to clear a corner and Ruairi McConville brings it down for a left-foot volley on the turn.

It would have been a blinder if the Canaries defender had got it on target... but he fires it over the crossbar.

The home side are well on top, though.

  15. Postpublished at 15:36 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

On the counter-attack, Oxford's Stanley Mills looks to get in behind but can only poke a tame effort straight at Gavin Bazunu.

  16. Postpublished at 15:36 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

A glorious chance for Yuki Ohashi to put Blackburn in front.

Rovers get him through on goal from halfway, but the Japanese forward never looks convincing and he drags it wide with his left from the edge of the box.

The visitors may not get too many better chances than this one.

  17. 'We're a team that likes to attack'published at 15:36 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

We are a team that likes to get forward but there has been a few times that they've picked the ball up unchallenged and we have to be wary of that.

You can see why we're not exactly water-tight, we're a team that likes to attack.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:35 GMT 26 December 2025

    Sheff Wed 1-0 Hull

Falling behind has woken the Tigers up and they have a great chance to equalise.

They work it well into the box for Mohamed Belloumi, who drills it goalwards on his left, but Liam Cooper senses the danger and gets back on the line to block with his chest.

Great stuff from the ex-Leeds skipper.

  19. Postpublished at 15:34 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

The game has settled down since a flurry of early chances for Preston.

The visitors earn themselves a free-kick to put the ball into the box but Stoke keeper Viktor Johansson gathers comfortably.

Earlier, Stoke's Sorba Thomas looked to get in around the back at the far post but could only prod his effort from a tight angle into the side-netting when running out of room.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:32 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

Alex Gilbert clips the heels of Todd Cantwell in the centre of the park and is booked.

Rovers captain Cantwell was influential in the win over Millwall and he's the fulcrum of Rovers' attacking intentions again.
