  1. goal

GOAL: Sheff Wed 2-2 Hullpublished at 16:24 GMT 26 December 2025

    Matt Crooks (65 mins)

The Tigers equalise for a second time!

Again, Hull up the tempo in search of an equaliser as Matt Crooks works the ball into the box. His attempted pass is blocked, but he takes matters into his own hands, by drilling it past Pierce Charles at the near post.

No big celebration though. There is a game to be won.

  2. goal

GOAL: Leicester 1-2 Watfordpublished at 16:24 GMT 26 December 2025

    Mattie Pollock (65 mins)

From behind, the visitors are in front!

It's really weak goalkeeping from Leicester's Jakub Stolarczyk who allows Mattie Pollock to get in front of him and the central defender makes no mistake, heading home a well weighted centre from Imran Louza into the back of the net.

Big problems for Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

Cries of 'Come on Boro' from the Riverside.

They've become used to their side winning this season and it's a reflection of the job Blackburn are doing.

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

It's Ethan Galbarith from right-back getting into the middle and overloading Coventry.

Swansea are having a bit of a spell here.

You're one goal up, you can't afford to stand off and get picked and passed around.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:22 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

Preston's midfielder Ali McCann is booked for a foul on halfway.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:22 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

Stanley Mills gets in behind for Oxford but, with two players running into the six-yard box who would have had a tap-in, manages to dissect the pair of them.

    Let off for Southampton.

  7. goal

GOAL: Norwich 1-0 Charltonpublished at 16:21 GMT 26 December 2025

    Jovon Makama (61 mins)

    Who else but Jovon Makama?

Jacob Wright plays the ball in for the in-form Makama, who neatly turns and sidesteps his marker before slamming home.

Norwich lead and it's Makama's eighth goal of the season.

  8. goal

GOAL: Sheff Wed 2-1 Hullpublished at 16:20 GMT 26 December 2025

    Bailey Cadamarteri (60 mins)

Hull had been pushing but it is Sheffield Wednesday lead again.

Barry Bannan's wand finds Bailey Cadamarteri in the box. The Hull defence are waiting, pleading for an offside call.

It does not come and Cadamarteri places his volley out of the reach of Ivor Pandur.

  9. goal

GOAL: Portsmouth 1-1 QPRpublished at 16:19 GMT 26 December 2025

    Jimmy Dunne (61 mins)

Jimmy Dunne heads QPR's equaliser at PortsmouthImage source, Shutterstock

As so often, Jimmy Dunne comes to QPR's rescue...

Rangers have begun to threaten in this second half and Richard Kone's header was parried by Nicolas Schmid just a minute prior to Dunne's equaliser.

Nicolas Madsen swings in the corner and Dunne gets up to nod home his third goal of the campaign.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:18 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

Probably an indication of the direction of travel in this half as Swansea make a double change.

Melker Widell and Zeidane Inoussa replace Zan Vipotnik and Eom Ji-Sung.

  11. CLOSE!published at 16:18 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

This game has taken a while to get going but now looks like it is threatening its first goal.

Divin Mubama's first touch gets him in front of his man and the striker then hits a shot which seems to get a touch from Preston keeper Daniel Iversen before the ball fires the side-netting.

    Goal-kick to Preston given however.

  12. Postpublished at 16:17 GMT 26 December 2025

    Norwich 0-0 Charlton

Still no sign of that opening goal.

Charlton's James Bree has had a free-kick charged down, with Jacob Wright going close for the home side but it remains honours even.

The visitors won last time they were at Carrow Road, but that was a while ago - back in 2014.

  13. CLOSE!published at 16:16 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

A good free-kick from Ben Whiteman finds Preston team-mate Jordan Storey but the defenders header inside the box is well held by Stoke shot-stopper Viktor Johansson.

  14. Postpublished at 16:15 GMT 26 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

The Sky Blues are definitely on the front foot in this half.

Ephron Mason-Clark is keen to add to his first-half goal. He has had one effort deflected just wide of Lawrence Vigouroux's near post and then has a header that bounces down and straight at the goalkeeper.

A second goal and you feel that would be job done.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:14 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

    Double change for Saints.

Oriol Romeu and Jay Robinson come on for Flynn Downes and Leo Scienza.

    Oxford 1-1 Southampton

    Dan George
BBC Sport at the Kassam Stadium

This has been a decent start to the second half by Oxford and Przemyslaw Placheta has been at the heart of two great chances.

His first strike from the edge of the box was brilliantly saved by Gavin Bazunu. His most recent attempt was really moving as he unleashed an effort from over 25 yards.

Saints have looked slow to get started since the break.

  17. Postpublished at 16:13 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

This game is really crying out for someone to take a risk.

At the moment, both defences look comfortable dealing with the ball being passed side to side in front of them.

  18. CLOSE!published at 16:11 GMT 26 December 2025

    Oxford United 1-1 Southampton

Przemyslaw Placheta hits another clean strike from distance for the home side with his right foot but this one goes wide of Gavin Bazunu's right hand post.

The Polish winger has begun this second half with real intent.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:09 GMT 26 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

More of the hokey-cokey in the Boro defence as George Edmundson has not reappared for the second half.

Dael Fry replaces Edmundson, who himself had come on for Alfie Jones inside the opening 20 minutes.

A Blackburn sub too, with Moussa Baradji on for Ryoya Morishita.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:07 GMT 26 December 2025

    Sheff Wed 1-1 Hull

A change at the break for the east Yorkshire side as Akin Famewo replaces ex-Sheff Utd and Burnley defender John Egan.

The Tigers are now attacking towards their 3,500 fans in the Leppings Lane End at Hillsborough. Can they suck the ball into the net?
