  1. Off form Haalandpublished at 20:05 GMT 28 January

    Man City 0-0 Galatasaray

    Shamoon Hafez
Football news reporter at Etihad Stadium

Just one goal in his last eight games for Erling Haaland and you can see why.

He would have buried that chance earlier in the season.

Will the miss come back to haunt City? They needed a fast start to silence this boisterous Galatasaray following.

I’m no Man City fan but I’d be sweating tonight with City’s defence and Osimhen up front. Also Sane and Gundogan returning!

    Alex Howell

    That didn't take long.

And it is the returning Kai Havertz who plays Viktor Gyokeres through on goal.

The first time the pair have been able to link up from the beginning of a game.

  5. Postpublished at 20:04 GMT 28 January

    Liverpool 0-0 Qarabag

An awful start for Liverpool as Jeremie Frimpong pulls up and can't carry on. Looks to be a hamstring injury.

With Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley injured, this is a huge blow for Arne Slot.

  6. 'Harsh on Newcastle'published at 20:04 GMT 28 January

    PSG 0-0 Newcastle

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Parc des Princes

It's going to be harsh on Newcastle. It's like a tennis swing, it hits him on the hand.

  7. PENALTY TO PSGpublished at 20:04 GMT 28 January

    PSG 0-0 Newcastle

The referee goes to the screen and it is a quick check - penalty to PSG!

This could be a terrible start for Newcastle.

  8. 'More flexibility in Chelsea back line'published at 20:03 GMT 28 January

    Napoli 0-0 Chelsea

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona

James joining Fofana in the centre [of the defence] might give Chelsea more flexibility. It might give them the opportunity to move into a back three, with Gusto and James swapping at times and stepping into midfield from different positions. It is certainly one to watch, especially how they cope with what Napoli have to offer.

  9. 'Big night for both'published at 20:03 GMT 28 January

    PSG 0-0 Newcastle

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Parc des Princes

It's a fantastic atmosphere. Really vibrant.

It's a big night for Newcastle, a big night for PSG. The winners know they'll be cemented in that top eight.

    Viktor Gyökeres

    That didn't take long!

All that noise about Viktor Gyökeres and he responds with a goal that takes him into double figures for Arsenal.

A cool and composed finish set up by the returning Kai Havertz.

  11. VAR

Video Assistant Referee - possible penaltypublished at 20:02 GMT 28 January

    PSG 0-0 Newcastle

    Uh oh.

This could be a nightmare start for Newcastle as there is a VAR check for a possible penalty. It looks like Lewis Miley handles the ball inside the box on PSG's first attack...

  12. It is loud in the Stadio Diego Armando Maradonapublished at 20:02 GMT 28 January

    Napoli 0-0 Chelsea

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport Chelsea reporter

Chelsea supporters are doing their best to make themselves heard, but the atmosphere at Napoli is spectacular.

Red and white flares are being set off and huge flags are waving in the Curva A, while the Curva B is a sea of “12th man” banners, with the whole stadium in full voice.

Chelsea have not often fared well in environments like this, and it could offer the Italian side a leveller amid an injury crisis and with generally fewer resources at their disposal.

  13. Slot centre of attentionpublished at 20:00 GMT 28 January

    Liverpool 0-0 Qarabag

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Lots of photographers around Liverpool head coach Arne Slot when he took his place in the technical area. He has been under scrutiny once more after the Premier League defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

The Champions League has, however, been kinder to the Dutchman and Liverpool. Victory against Qarabag tonight will automatically send Liverpool into the last 16.

    Arsenal v Kairat (20:00 GMT)

    Alex Howell
BBC Sport Arsenal reporter at Emirates Stadium

The away end looks pretty packed out as the Kairat supporters get ready for kick-off.

It's an impressive following considering the fans from Kazakhstan will have travelled over 3,000 miles.

  17. 'Arsenal handled things so well'published at 19:56 GMT 28 January

    Arsenal v Kairat (20:00 GMT)

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fair play to Arsenal, they're handling things so, so well.

They're playing at home through the second legs now and that feels like a bit of a redemption after they played PSG away in the second leg and that should never have happened.

  18. Applause for Gundogan and Sanepublished at 19:56 GMT 28 January

Man City v Galatasaray (20:00 GMT)

    Shamoon Hafez
Football news reporter at Etihad Stadium

There's a warm round of applause for the returning Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane when their names were read out before kick-off.

The pair notched almost 500 appearances combined for Manchester City, with Gundogan captaining the club to lifting the trophy in this competition - and completing the Treble - three years ago.
