  4. As it stands...published at 20:14 GMT 28 January

Fourteen minutes into the evening and across the 18 matches we have already had 20 goals!

Newcastle's slow start in Paris has resulted in them dropping down the table.

Sporting Lisbon are just outside of the automatic places, another goal for them would see Chelsea drop out of the top eight.

That is just Haaland's bread and butter there, no matter what form he's in you know he's scoring from that pass.

If the entirety of this season has not been enough of a reason for us to dive back into the transfer market then surely the unbelievable fragility of Bradley and Frimpong then tonight must be the last straw. We are in danger of falling out of the top 8 let alone the top four.

    PSG 1-0 Newcastle

PSG are like a tornado here, just battering this Newcastle defence with attack after attack, and a nice move sees Ousmane Dembélé get sight of goal but his shot is denied by Nick Pope.

    Napoli 0-0 Chelsea

Scott McTominay is fine to carry on after taking that hard ball to the face, by the way. A bonus for Napoli.

  10. 'The big man is back'published at 20:13 GMT 28 January

    Man City 1-0 Galatasaray

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at Etihad Stadium

There you go. He had an opportunity earlier and he wasn't going to miss a second one. Doku comes inside to make the reverse pass, and Haaland is better than anyone in that position. He runs onto it, has time to check where the keeper is, and lifts it over him. The big man is back.

  11. No-one was marking Vitinhapublished at 20:13 GMT 28 January

    PSG 1-0 Newcastle

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

No-one was marking Vitinha as he ran to the edge of the box from midfield.

  12. CLOSE!published at 20:12 GMT 28 January

    Liverpool 0-0 Qarabag

Nice stuff from Florian Wirtz and Mo Salah to find Hugo Ekitike on the left. His quick feet find a yard of space but he bends an effort wide of the far post.

You can't give a quality player like Erling Haaland two gilt-edged chances in the first 10 minutes.

After the earlier miss, the Manchester City striker gobbles this one up and Pep Guardiola's side are now sitting pretty in sixth place.

  14. PSG's tails are uppublished at 20:12 GMT 28 January

    PSG 1-0 Newcastle

    Ciaran Kelly
BBC Sport reporter at Parc des Princes

Nick Pope's penalty save had the potential to have a galvanising effect at the Parc des Princes.

But Newcastle United were cut open far too easily just a few minutes later.

Vitinha is somehow unmarked despite the visitors having so many defenders around him - and he gets the shot away.

PSG's tails are up. The visitors have just not got going.

    PSG 1-0 Newcastle

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Parc des Princes

PSG kept the ball brilliantly. Newcastle pressed high up the pitch but PSG got through them.

Vitinha finds the corner and Nick Pope couldn't get to this one.

It's a fine start from Chelsea in their all black kit as they control possession and force the first corner of the game.

  18. goal

GOAL - Man City 1-0 Galatasaraypublished at 20:10 GMT 28 January

    Erling Haaland

He's back doing what he does best!

Erling Haaland's name is back on the scoresheet and it's a lovely finish from the Manchester City striker who dinks it over the keeper after Jeremy Doku's defence-splitting pass.

    Just what City needed.

  19. More misery for luckless Frimpongpublished at 20:10 GMT 28 January

    Liverpool 0-0 Qarabag

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Jeremie Frimpong looked utterly disconsolate as he made his way around Anfield's perimeter accompanied by a member of Liverpool's medical team. And who can blame him?

Not sure whether it was yet another of the hamstring injuries that have blighted his season but the manner in which he pulled up sharply, hobbled for a moment, then fell to the floor looked very ominuous.

He has had no luck this season.
