    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

Riley McGree makes a challenge high up the pitch to get a toe on the ball and wins another corner in the process.

Headed away at the near post by Mihailo Ivanovic but Boro still have the ball in the Millwall third.

They can't get out at the moment, the Lions. Another corner to come.

The waves of red attacks keep coming and Middlesbrough force another corner.

Dael Fry goes up for it but can't get there and it's headed out to Callum Brittain, who fires a shot in but it finds a Millwall body.

    All Boro at the moment.

  3. 'Boro yet to test Patterson'published at 12:51 BST 3 April

Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Radio Tees

That first five or 10 minutes it was full-out football, all of a sudden it's just settled down a little bit.

Brittain has been a threat down the right-hand side, he's getting balls across, but we're yet to really test Patterson.

  4. GOOD SAVE!published at 20 min

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

Boro test Millwall keeper Anthony Patterson for the first time, with Callum Brittain stinging his palms from a tight angle after a cute pass from Aidan Morris.

The ball pings around in the box before the Lions eventually clear into the feet of the referee and play is stopped.

Lots of nice play from the hosts in the opening 20 minutes, but they're yet to take advantage of one of these openings.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

Femi Azeez, so often Millwall's creator in chief, gives us his first cameo as he cuts in from the right and plays the ball to Camiel Neghli.

The Algerian takes the shot on but it's blocked and cannons back off of him and out for a goal kick.

Am I the only one whose noticed that all clubs are playing very similarly alphabetically today?

    Lola, Pembury

Yes, Lola, you're right - not only do we have Middlesbrough v Millwall, but later we have Birmingham v Blackburn, Sheffield United v Swansea, Stoke v Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom v Wrexham. A lot of the other games are only a letter or two out as well!

  7. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 14 min

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

This game has been bubbling away nicely and it just spills over a tad here.

Riley McGree tries to hit Millwall on the break and Jake Cooper goes in hard on the Boro midfielder, who does not like the challenge.

Both sides are getting involved but soon the referee sorts it out and shows a yellow card to both players.

    On we go.

  8. 'Boro the better side so far'published at 12:43 BST 3 April

It's only the early stages of the game but you know exactly what Millwall are about, they're a big physical side and they'll press with the two centre forwards.

If you can match them on that side you've got a great chance, I think we've been the better side so far.

  9. Postpublished at 11 min

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

Josh Coburn jumps on a mistake from his old team-mate Dael Fry to force a corner for the visitors, which is always a danger with the likes of Jake Cooper and Caleb Taylor coming up for Millwall.

However, Femi Azeez's corner goes right over the back and out for a goal kick.

    Wasteful.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

It's a good delivery from Callum Brittain and Adilson Malanda gets on the end of it, but it's a poor header under little pressure and goes high and wide.

A good opening nine minutes from the home side.

I understand the international breaks and all but, my word, is it good to be back.

    Isn't it just!

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

Former Boro striker Josh Coburn gives away a free-kick in a dangerous area for a foul on Aidan Morris.

Callum Brittain is going to swing this one in.

That should have been a goal, that was a sitter in my view.

That's Millwall off the hook there.

  14. CHANCE!published at 7 min

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

    What a miss!

Boro take the corner short this time and it comes in to Luke Ayling, who skews his effort towards his centre-back partner Dael Fry.

With only Anthony Patterson to beat he hits it first time but skies up and way over the bar.

That was two good chances in one there, as Millwall get their first shot away through Casper De Norre but it's a comfortable save for Sol Brynn.

  15. Postpublished at 4 min

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

Boro take a quick free-kick and hit Millwall on the break with a long run from Riley McGree to win another corner.

It's been a fast start to this game.

  16. 'Boro on the front foot'published at 12:34 BST 3 April

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

    Neil McDonald
Former West Ham assistant manager on BBC Radio London

Middlesbrough being the home team are on the front foot.

They have started the better on chances and getting into the box so far, but the composure is still there from Millwall.

  17. CLOSE!published at 3 min

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall

Boro's Tommy Conway rouses the home crowd as he presses Tristan Crama and makes a block to send the ball out for an early throw.

He's right up for this, Conway. He finds space on the edge of the box and Crama has to make a crucial block to force the corner, with Alan Browne glancing a header over the bar.

A strong start from the hosts.

  20. 'It's going to be a tight game'published at 12:28 BST 3 April

    Middlesbrough v Millwall (12:30 BST)

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Radio Tees

I think it's going to be a real tight game.

Defensively, you're going to have to be brave and stick your head in there. They're going to put balls in the box and we've got to make sure we get on the end of them.

I have no doubt with the football we play, but when that chance comes along you have to be ruthless and put teams to bed.
