    Charlton 1-2 Middlesbrough

Full-time and it is a BIG three points for Middlesbrough!

At half-time Boro were in total control thanks to goals from Riley McGree and Morgan Whittaker but their advantage was halved when George Edmundson headed past his own goalkeeper Sol Brynn which set up a lively final 10 minutes at The Valley.

The visitors held on, however, for the win. The stuff of Championship promotion winners?

    Watford 1-1 Sheff Wed

Watford earn a point but they left it rather late!

Vivaldo Semedo's 97th-minute equaliser cancels out Charlie McNeill's first-half goal for Sheffield Wednesday, whose hopes of ending a 12-game winless run came to an end in agonising fashion.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:43 GMT 9 December 2025

    Sheffield United 1-1 Norwich

Full-time and the spoils are shared at Bramall Lane.

Following a goalless first-half, Danny Ings bagged his first goal for Sheffield United when he tapped in from three yards following good work from Tatith Chong.

They were denied the three points after defender Djibril Soumare put through his own net and could have even lost the game had Norwich forward Amankwah Forson kept his cool, instead of scuffing his effort one-on-one at Michael Cooper.

    Preston 1-1 Coventry

10-man Preston have fought back to seal a point against league-leading Coventry!

The hosts had Liam Lindsay sent off in the first half and Coventry threw the kitchen sink at them.

With Middlesbrough beating Charlton, Frank Lampard's side's lead at the top looks set to be cut!

  7. CLOSE!published at 21:41 GMT 9 December 2025

    Sheffield United 1-1 Norwich

Oh my word - WHAT a chance for Norwich to win it.

Following a Sheffield United corner, the Blades lose possession and somehow Amankwah Forson is through on goal one-on-one with Michael Cooper.

Forson somewhat rushes his effort though, scuffing a left-footed shot to Cooper's left and the former Plymouth keeper comfortably pushes the ball out for a corner, which comes to nothing.

Norwich should have stolen all three points at Bramall Lane!

Oh my word, somehow Southampton survive after Albion have a HUGE chance to draw this game level.

Samuel Iling-Junior has the goal at his mercy but he puts it wide of the post from close range, everyone inside St Mary's thought that was 3-3, he has to score that!

West Brom have been really spirited in this second half.

Saints have not snuffed this game out and there are nerves in the stands at St Mary's.

West Brom can sense some late drama here.

George Edmundson own goal (81 mins)

And just moments later, Charlton are right back in it and it's another own goal tonight!

Charlton winger Rob Apter does so well here, running down the right wing and putting a dangerous cross into the middle which Boro defender George Edmundson can only divert into his own net with a diving header.

    Game on at The Valley!
