  1. CLOSE!published at 15:06 GMT 7 February

    Bolton 0-0 Barnsley

What a start to this one.

Sam Dalby charges down a clearance from Reds keeper Owen Goodman, who had a torrid game against Northampton in midweek, but the ball bounces wide of his goal.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:04 GMT 7 February

    Bolton 0-0 Barnsley

Nearly a perfect start for Barnsley but Trotters keeper Jack Bonham makes a big stop to keep Scott Banks' curling effort at bay inside 25 seconds at the Toughsheet.

The hosts deal with the subsequent Tykes corner well, however.

What else is on the agenda in League Two today then...

League leaders Bromley, who are unbeaten across their past 11 games, could equal their longest unbeaten streak in the EFL when they trave to Fleetwood.

Notts County, in second and five points off top spot, can make it six wins on the bounce if they pick up the three points at home to a struggling Barrow side who have lost their past four and four points from safety.

Play-off hopefuls MK Dons are on a five-game unbeaten streak tasting defeat just once in their past 10 games and travel to a Cheltenham side who have lost their past three.

Walsall's wobble continued last time out after a 2-0 defeat at strugglers Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night. They are now without a win in four games and have recorded just two victories in 10 matches as they sit in seventh, 10 points off leaders Bromley. Fair to say that today's home clash against a Barnet side who are unbeaten in their past four is a big one if the Saddlers are to get back on track.

Steve Evans' Bristol Rovers have recorded back-to-back wins for the first time since September to move seven points clear of the drop zone and welcome a Chesterfield side who sit just outside the play-off spots.

New Shrewsbury Town head coach Gavin Cowan got off to a decent start at the relegation-threatened side after a spirited home 0-0 draw against Barnet last Saturday. Today he takes charge of his second game as his side travel to Colchester with the Shrews just three points from safety.

  7. Two sides in hugely contrasting formpublished at 14:55 GMT 7 February

    Harrogate v Cambridge (15:01 GMT)

Harrogate remain rooted to the League Two table. Simon Weaver's side have no wins in their past 20 league games and are on a five-match losing streak.

Despite that they are just five points from safety in a congested bottom end of the table.

The form couldn't couldn't be anymore contrasting today as Cambridge are unbeaten in their past 14 league games - with their last defeat coming in October when they suffered a 2-0 loss at Notts County.

The U's, who notched up their sixth straight victory last Saturday when they cruised past Oldham 3-0, will be looking to keep themselves in the automatic promotion places as well an impressive winning streak.

  8. Why is every EFL game kicking off one minute later?published at 14:52 GMT 7 February

All matches in the Championship, League One and League Two will kick off one minute later than usual in this round of games to raise awareness for the Every Minute Matters campaign.

The initiative is in place for all 36 matches across the three divisions between 5 and 9 February.

EFL sponsor Sky Bet and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) have been working together since May 2024 to highlight the importance of speed when it comes to performing life-saving CPR.

Later kick-off times will serve as "a stark reminder that every minute matters", the EFL said.

All 24 League One outfits are in action today before the FA Cup kick-starts once more next weekend and as usual we'll be across all the action for you.

Fourth-placed Stockport County host Leyton Orient in a repeat of last season's League One play-off semi-final, hoping to get some revenge on the O's penalty shootout victory which took them to Wembley last May.

Stevenage can make it back-to-back wins and close the gap on the top-six with a victory at home to struggling Northampton Town this afternoon while Wycombe, two points behind them, host Doncaster Rovers.

Mid-table Peterborough United face an out of form Wigan and Reading take a trip down the M4 to AFC Wimbledon.

Mansfield Town, who are looking forward to their FA Cup clash against Premier League Burnley on Valentine's Day host an Exeter City side that have recovered well from their 10-1 hammering by Manchester City in the world's oldest cup competition last month - picking up seven points from a possible 12 since then.

  10. Manning era off to perfect startpublished at 14:47 GMT 7 February

    Huddersfield v Blackpool (15:01 GMT)

    Liam Manning.Image source, Shutterstock

It has been a great start to life under new boss Liam Manning at Huddersfield Town.

Three wins in a row has seen the Terriers climb into the top six in League One as they host a Blackpool side hoping to claim revenge for a 3-2 reverse by the Tangerines at Bloomfield Road back in August.

Blackpool are five unbeaten against today's opponents, last enjoying a better run against the Yorkshire outfit in the 1950's, but have lost five of their past six league games in a worrying slump which has left them teetering just one point above the League One drop zone.

The form book suggests a home victory today, with Huddersfield winning four of their past home league games without conceding a goal - can the Seasiders pull off a shock result this afternoon?

  11. Will it be unlucky 13 for Imps at Pilgrims?published at 14:44 GMT 7 February

    Plymouth v Lincoln (15:01 GMT)

Michael Skubala pointing upwardsImage source, Shutterstock

This is a big test of Lincoln’s promotion credentials as they make the long trip to face improving Plymouth.

The Imps are unbeaten in 12 league games and enjoying their best season in the third tier in 74 years, with 58 points from 29 games so far, and could go top of League One with a win, should Cardiff come undone at lowly Rotherham this afternoon.

It won't be an easy task, however, the Pilgrims lost for the first time in seven at Stockport last Saturday but are unbeaten in four at Home Park, their best run in well over a year.

A 10th win in 13 games for the visitors would seal the first league double for the Imps over Argyle in 44 years after a 3-2 home win in August, but it's fair to say Michael Skubala's men have loftier goals over the coming couple of months.

  12. Trotters try to keep up the pace as Tykes head westpublished at 14:42 GMT 7 February

    Bolton v Barnsley (15:01 GMT)

Steven Schumacher shouting and pointing in different directionsImage source, Shutterstock

Bolton will seek to continue their good run when travel-sick Barnsley head to the ToughSheet Community Stadium.

After a 1-0 win at Wimbledon last time out Steven Schumacher's third-placed Trotters are unbeaten in five and seeking a fourth straight win for the first time in more than two years to try and keep the pressure on Cardiff and Lincoln above them.

The Tykes lost top-scorer Davis Keillor-Dunn to Wrexham on deadline day but the following day came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to Northampton and have now lost just one of their past six games.

Conor Hourihane’s side have however won just one of their past 11 on the road, failing to keep a clean sheet in that run, and are relying heavily on 38-year-old forward David McGoldrick, who has scored five goals in his past four appearances.

  13. Bluebirds aiming to avoid banana skin at Millerspublished at 14:39 GMT 7 February

    Rotherham v Cardiff (15:01 GMT)

Brian Barry-Murphy gives the thumbs upImage source, Shutterstock

If games were played on paper, this might be a banker away win for the Bluebirds, but this is League One, and Rotherham are on the move.

The Millers thrashed Exeter 4-0 last Saturday to make it seven points from their past three games after their alarming slide into the drop-zone, and they made a glut of deadline day deals which will make today’s game even more interesting.

Cardiff are unbeaten in nine games but the 2-2 draw at Burton last time out was a fourth draw in that run, three of those coming in their past four away games, and Lincoln remain within striking distance at the top.

City have taken 22 points from their past nine meetings with the Millers, but won’t need reminding they went down 5-2 here on their last visit in May 2024.

Got a feeling this one will be a cracker...

  14. 'Bradford failed to convert in the crucial moments'published at 14:33 GMT 7 February

    FT: Luton 2-1 Bradford

    Jamie Raynor
BBC Radio Leeds' Bradford City commentator

In the end it was too little too late from the Bantams.

Bradford failed to convert in the crucial moments.

Luton deserved it, they were generally better throughout.

Tempers flaring after the final whistle too.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:33 GMT 7 February

    Swindon 3-0 Oldham

Big win for Swindon who move up to second in League Two ahead of the later games.

A debut goal for James Scanlon sent Ian Holloway's side on their way followed by goals from Fletcher Holman and the league's top marksman Aaron Drinan.

Oldham suffer three defeats on the bounce and remain 16th as Micky Mellon's side's away record now reads just one in their past six.

    FT: Luton 2-1 Bradford

Ugly scenes after the final whistle as Luton forward Ali Al-Hamadi is trying to get at Curtis Tilt, with whom he had a tussle in the closing stages of the game, and is being pulled away by his team-mates and staff.

Shame after a rip-roaring game of League One football.

It's that man Aaron Drinan who slots home to make it 3-0 to the Robins.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:30 GMT 7 February

    Luton 2-1 Bradford

And breathe... That's 10 home games without defeat for Luton, and on this showing they look more likely to make the League One play-offs than Bradford.

Jake Richards' low strike from 18 yards just before the break and Shayden Morris' deflected strike on the counterattack after the turnaround seal the points, though if Bantams debutant Ethan Wheatley had converted when clean through moments after coming on we might well have had a grandstand finish.

We had a truncated one when sub Stephen Humphrys bustled through to pull back a consolation in the dying seconds but the Bantams could not pinch the most unlikely of points.

A good game, fiercely contested, on a pudding of a pitch, but Bradford's away form continues to be their Achilles heel. Of their past 20 defeats across the past two seasons, 16 have now come on the road.
