Manchester City are able to slow it down when they want, but they are able to speed it up so quickly as well.

They always know where each other are, it's like they have eyes in the back of their heads. It is just a sixth-sense they have with each other.

Man Utd have learnt nothing from playing against Bayern or any other team. Basic mistakes are glaring at the coaches, with absolutely no repair. 1) Possession and options for the player with the ball. 2) The defensive action at a basic level. The team need a COACH, not a nice guy.

Melvine Malard has only one thing in her mind as she picks up the ball on the edge of the box before cutting inside and curling a left-footed effort beyond the top left corner.

    Nice attempt.

  8. CLOSE!published at 14:50 GMT 28 March

    Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City

The heavens have opened above Old Trafford as the weather is starting to match the mood of the stadium incumbents.

Manchester City meanwhile are loving it, with the weather adding an extra zip to their crisp passing, which is egged on by 'Ole's' from the travelling fans in the away end.

Yui Hasegawa has the chance to add the cherry on top of a fantastic, free-flowing move but drags the finish wide of the right post.

Concern for the hosts as Millie Turner is down on the floor in need of treatment.

Manchester City had failed to score in their past two away games before today, as they lost 1-0 at the Emirates and drew 0-0 at Villa Park.

They'd never gone three WSL games in a row without scoring - no risk of setting that record today.

We need to stop playing games at Old Trafford. It's nowhere near full and there's no atmosphere as a consequence. Fill the stadium at Leigh and make it hostile for away teams.

You just have to take your hat off. This is really, really good football from Manchester City.

Kerstin Casparij loves the whole vibe of a derby. She is always involved in the action on gameday.

Vivianne Miedema had done well and Maya Le Tissier had gambled in midfield, then it was on a plate for her to finish at the back post.
