    Ipswich 0-0 Sheff Wed

A chance for an opener at Portman Road, but it is for the beleaguered Owls.

    Derby 0-1 Portsmouth

Matt Clarke and Bobby Clark both fail to find the target with efforts as Derby look for a way back against a Portsmouth side with the worst away record in the Championship.

  3. 'A huge blow for Middlesbrough'published at 15:23 GMT 20 December 2025

    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Mark Drury
    BBC Radio Tees commentator

I hoped it was just tightness on a cold afternoon for Riley McGree.

That is a huge blow for Middlesbrough as he has been in fantastic form at the moment.

He looks absolutely distraught and he looks like a man that knows it is serious.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:22 GMT 20 December 2025

    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

Not good news for Middlesbrough as just before Emil Riis' goal, they lost Australia midfielder Riley McGree to injury.

He has been in good form since returning from injury in early November but he has to go off with teenager Sverre Nypan replacing him.

  5. Postpublished at 15:22 GMT 20 December 2025

    QPR 1-0 Leicester

Almost a second for the home side and a second for Koki Saito.

Karamoko Dembele sends over an inviting cross but the Japanese midfielder somehow misses from close range.

  6. RED CARD (Tommy Doyle - Birmingham City)published at 15:20 GMT 20 December 2025

    Sheffield United 1-0 Birmingham

It goes from bad to worse for Birmingham City!

Former Blades loanee Tommy Doyle is shown a straight red card for taking out Gus Hamer on the touchline - I think Doyle thought he would get away with just a yellow but the referee brandishes him with the red!

It's a long way back for the 10 men now.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:16 GMT 20 December 2025

Christoph Klarer is the second man in the book for Birmingham for bringing down Callum O'Hare.

That's both of Blues' central defenders cautioned now early on at Bramall Lane.

  11. Postpublished at 15:16 GMT 20 December 2025

    Bristol City 0-0 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough have been so good in the first half under Kim Hellberg and they are on the front foot in this one.

They have hit the woodwork and Callum Brittain has fizzed over a couple of dangerous balls from the right, which are begging for a final touch.

  12. Postpublished at 15:14 GMT 20 December 2025

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

There are few more bustling forwards than Oli McBurnie and back in the team today, the big man is close to an opener.

But he glances an effort wide, that was close to his 11th of the season for the Tigers.

  13. Postpublished at 15:13 GMT 20 December 2025

  14. Postpublished at 15:11 GMT 20 December 2025

    Watford 0-0 Stoke

Having been voted Africa's young player of the year it is a bit of a surprise Watford's Othmane Maamma is not with Morocco at Afcon and it looks like he wants to show them what they are missing.

The 20-year-old forces a decent stop out of Viktor Johansson.

    The hosts hit the front!

Unmarked central defender Tyler Bindon rises highest to meet a Gus Hamer corner from the right to head home past Blues keeper Ryan Allsop.

It's an excellent header by Bindon who finds the top corner.

  19. 'Leicester need to get out wide'published at 15:07 GMT 20 December 2025

    QPR 1-0 Leicester

    Stephen Clemence
Former Leicester midfielder on BBC Radio Leicester

It is clear QPR are in a 4-4-2 and have deep block going on, and it will be difficult for Leicester to pass through and the Foxes are going to have to be more direct.

They need to get out wide or over the top, they won't be able to go straight through the middle.
