  1. 'QPR have done the basics very well'published at 15:58 GMT 20 December 2025

    HT: QPR 4-0 Leicester

    Stephen Clemence
Former Leicester captain on BBC Radio Leicester

QPR have done the basics very well and unfortunately for Leicester three of the goals have come from crosses, and we haven't done well enough at stopping those balls coming into the box.

The players have to try and stop the cross, and they haven't. This will be a very difficult half-time talk for Marti Cifuentes. He will probably have to make some changes.

It certainly won't be what he expected when he went to bed last night.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:57 GMT 20 December 2025

    Hull 1-0 West Brom

Both Isaac Price and Karlan Grant had big chances to put West Brom ahead, but Oli McBurnie's penalty deep into injury time has Hull in front.

Can the Baggies respond in the second half or has the horse bolted?

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 GMT 20 December 2025

    QPR 4-0 Leicester

Koki Saito celebrates opening the scoring against LeicesterImage source, Getty Images

Brilliant from QPR, baffling from Leicester.

Goals from Koki Saito, Richard Kone and Karamoko Dembele had put the home side in cruise control before Amadou Mbengue's spectacular fourth topped the lot.

It might have been worse for Leicester had Saito not missed from close range.

Leicester were 3-0 down to Sheffield United a fortnight ago and almost nicked a point - they are not turning this one around.

As it stands QPR are going above the Foxes in the table.

    Oli McBurnie (45+7 mins)

The big man takes responsibility! And Oli McBurnie delivers!

Down the middle and that is his 11th goal for Hull - what a signing he has been.

  5. Postpublished at 15:52 GMT 20 December 2025

    Watford 0-0 Stoke

    Yeah, not great.

Othmane Maamma has had a shot saved for the home side while Stoke have seen Robert Bozenik's header blocked.

    Nothing else to see here.

  6. PENALTY TO HULLpublished at 15:52 GMT 20 December 2025

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

    Handball!

Referee Ruebyn Ricardo points to the spot as Baggies defender Nat Phillips is penalised and the Tigers have the chance to go in front.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 GMT 20 December 2025

    Derby 1-1 Portsmouth

Callum Lang had Portsmouth ahead but they spent a lot of that half defending and eventually succumbed with Hayden Matthews turning the ball into his own net.

Derby have had plenty of possession and shots and they will expect to go on and win this against the worst away record in the division.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 GMT 20 December 2025

    Sheffield United 2-0 Birmingham

Sheffield United players celebrateImage source, Shutterstock

At the interval, the Blades look like they are cruising to victory.

United took the lead after just five minutes when Tyler Bindon headed home a Gustavo Hamer corner completely unmarked.

The visitors were then reduced to 10-men when Tommy Doyle received a red card for a professional foul on Hamer on the touchline.

Midfielder Hamer then doubled United's lead when he rounded Blues keeper Ryan Allsop before firing home into the roof of the net following a slack back pass from Keshi Anderson, who was later susbtituted.

    Are Sheffield United officially back?

    Ipswich 1-0 Sheff Wed

Cedric Kipre celebrates his opening goal with Leif DavisImage source, PA Media

Cedric Kipre's header is the difference at Portman Road.

You don't get too many bankers in the Championship, but it would be a big shock if the Owls get back into this game in the second half.

  10. goal

GOAL: QPR 4-0 Leicesterpublished at 15:50 GMT 20 December 2025

    Amadou Mbengue (45 mins)

Stop the ride, Leicester want to get off.

It's a tight angle, he shouldn't score but he does.

Amadou Mbengue cannot believe what he has just done.

Was it a cross or a shot?

    Who cares says Mbengue.

    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

Bristol City players celebrate with goalscorer Emil RiisImage source, Getty Images

We said this was a potential banana skin for Kim Hellberg and Middlesbrough.

And that's the way it is proving thanks to Emil Riis' goal for Bristol City.

It should make for a good second period.

  12. goal

    Amadou Mbengue (45 mins)

Stop the ride, Leicester want to get off...

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 GMT 20 December 2025

    Charlton 0-0 Oxford United

Half-time and we remain goalless at The Valley.

Not a lot of goalmouth action to tell you about in south east London but the home side may argue they should lead.

U's keeper Jamie Cumming made two good stops to prevent efforts from James Bree and Isaac Olaofe.

Let's hope for a goal or two in the second period.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:47 GMT 20 December 2025

    Derby 1-1 Portsmouth

Into stoppage time and Derby's Rhian Brewster is cautioned

Derby will be pleased to be level.

  15. 'Bristol City's clear game plan'published at 15:47 GMT 20 December 2025

    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Mark Drury
    BBC Radio Tees commentator

The game plan is clear from a Bristol City point of view, hit it and try and get them on the break.

However, you feel as if the game is starting to open up a bit now for Boro.

  16. INJURY TIMEpublished at 15:47 GMT 20 December 2025

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

We have eight minutes of time to play at MKM Stadium after an earlier head injury to home defender Charlie Hughes.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:46 GMT 20 December 2025

    Sheffield United 2-0 Birmingham

Close to three for the hosts.

Femi Seriki tries his luck from distance but his effort is met by a good save from Birmingham keeper Ryan Allsop.

  18. goal

GOAL Derby 1-1 Portsmouthpublished at 15:45 GMT 20 December 2025

    Hayden Matthews (45 og)

    Portsmouth lead no more.

In goes the ball and Hayden Matthews slides in with Patrick Agyemang but it's the defender who gets the last touch and we are all square.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:45 GMT 20 December 2025

    Derby 0-1 Portsmouth

Portsmouth's Andre Dozzell incurs the wrath of referee Farai Hallam and is cautioned.

    They still lead.

  20. Postpublished at 15:42 GMT 20 December 2025

    Ipswich 1-0 Sheff Wed

Sheffield Wednesday have drawn three and lost nine of their past 12 Championship games.

They are 32 points adrift of safety as things stand. The Owls need a takeover so, so quickly.
