Norwich City travel to Preston North End this lunchtime having picked up four points from their last two matches.

The Canaries remain in the bottom three following a dreadful start to the season but performances have improved recently under new boss Philippe Clement and they go into today's match off the back of a well deserved victory against Southampton last Saturday.

Preston, meanwhile, won at Oxford United last time out and are currently third in the Championship table, seven points below the top two.

North End were victorious in their most recent league game against Norwich in February, last winning back-to-back meetings with the Canaries almost two decades ago.

  2. Rovers in need of welcome Ewood cheerpublished at 12:15 GMT 20 December 2025

Home is where the heart is and it's why we all flock home at Christmas. But that is certainly not the case for Blackburn this season.

Just one win from 10 games, with two matches already abandoned due to bad weather, watching games at Ewood Park has been pretty miserable for Rovers fans.

Such a poor return means they keep looking over their shoulders towards the bottom three, with the gap only three points.

But a welcome victory will be far from guaranteed against a streetwise Millwall side, riding high in fourth.

The Lions were well beaten on their own patch by Hull seven days ago and Alex Neil is usually pretty good at getting a response from his players and it will be needed with a tasty-looking Boxing Day home clash with Ipswich next after this.

Friday night's Championship action saw Swansea City and Wrexham meet in a league game for the first time in more than 22 years.

Swansea took the honours as they came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to Adam Idah's late goal.

It moves the South Wales side seven points clear of the relegation zone while Wrexham missed the chance to move into the top 10.

Coventry City have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points with a win at Southampton in one of today's three early games.

Third and fourth place could also change hands with both Preston and Millwall in action at 12:30 GMT.

At the bottom, a win for Norwich City at Preston would lift them out of the relegation zone for at least a few hours.
