    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

It is looking like pure attack vs defence now, but at the moment the Bristol City defence are winning.

There is very little space to work in for Boro, they just need to get one goal to get the game going.

    Derby 1-1 Portsmouth

Nicolas Schmid makes another save for Portsmouth.

Ben Brereton is kept out again.

Derby sense there are three points to be taken here.

Pompey need to offer something as an attacking force.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:15 GMT 20 December 2025

    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

Probably not too much of a surprise the way the half has started as Gerhard Struber makes a change.

Defender Rob Atkinson is on for Anis Mehmeti.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:13 GMT 20 December 2025

    Derby 1-1 Portsmouth

Portsmouth could do without any more injuries especially to Josh Murphy.

The hosts are home and hosed now!

Tahith Chong keeps the ball in play and sets the ball back to Oli Arblaster, whose effort looks goalbound, before Patrick Bamford prods out his left foot to make sure the ball finds its way home into the back of the Birmingham net.

Three goals and a man up, Sheffield United look set for a comfortable three points.

    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

Positive stuff from Boro as they look for a way back into this one.

Alex Gilbert with the shot from a long way out and it's a fine save from Max O'Leary, making his first Championship appearance of the season in the Robins goal.

  8. CLOSE!published at 16:12 GMT 20 December 2025

    Charlton 0-0 Oxford United

Oh, Oxford so close to breaking the deadlock!

Will Vaulks sends in a terrific cross and it is met by a towering header from Michal Helik but Thomas Kaminski makes an excellent save, clawing the ball away from his goal.

    This one remains goalless.

    QPR 4-0 Leicester

There is no point in sacking Cifuentes. Nobody can fix this bunch of overpaid players, who aren't fit to wear the shirt. We are stuck with them until the summer when the financial rules allow us buy replacements. Nobody better would take the job, anyway!

    Bristol City 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

It is all Middlesbrough at the moment, it is wave after wave of attack.

You have to say though, once again Bristol City are defending well.

    Watford 0-0 Stoke

Sorba Thomas, on his 300th career appearance, has a crack at goal but it's blocked.

Leicester doing their absolute best to confirm that having more possession, albeit fractionally, means absolutely nothing in football. Borderline brilliant against Ipswich, utterly useless against QPR - where's the consistency?
