  1. Pressley aiming for first consecutive league wins in 20 monthspublished at 19:37 GMT 30 December 2025

    Dundee v Kilmarnock (19:45)

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley tells BBC Scotland: "It was an enforced change, we had to take Cam off against Falkirk at the weekend. We took him for a scan, there's nothing major but he had to miss out tonight.

"It gives Charlie a real opportunity. He's been here for two-and-a-half years and this is his first start, which is incredible. He's really impressed me since coming in.

"This is a pivotal period in our season, and we have to follow up the result at the weekend with something positive. It's been 20 months since this club recorded back-to-back victories, and that has to drive us tonight."

  2. Kilmarnock to 'throw everything at' Dundeepublished at 19:35 GMT 30 December 2025

    Dundee v Kilmarnock (19:45)

Interim Kilmarnock manager Kris Doolan tells BBC Scotland: "You want consistency at this time of year. Yes, there's a big schedule but if you have a formula that works...

"It was a tough, physical game against St Mirren but they stood up, and that says a lot to me about the mentality of this group.

"Mentality is massive in football. Defensively, we were really organised and we just need that break going forward. The first goal is massive and we'll throw everything at this game."

Jamie McGrath fills in at left wing-back.

Kjartan Kjartansson makes his first start for Aberdeen after impressive cameos in the last two games.

Emmanuel Gyamfi starts at left wing-back for the first time since early November.

Alexander Jensen and Marko Lazetic also come in. Topi Keskinen, Graeme Shinnie, Dante Polvara, and Kevin Nisbet drop to the bench.

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (19:45)

Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "Nicky [Cadden] came off with his calf, we've not got the full extent of his injury at the moment. It's reacted positively but this game and probably the weekend come too soon.

"Kieron Bowie is unwell unfortunately, he had sickness through the night and misses the game. Hopefully he can recover pretty quickly.

"He's in his bed in the moment, having plenty fluids and trying to get himself back as quickly as he can because we've got a game at the weekend.

"I fully expect him to be involved in that one."

"I thought we made a good account of ourselves and on another day could have got something out of it," he tells BBC Scotland.

"Big moments in games have been killing us and at times we've also been a bit unfortunate."

As for Jim Goodwin's visitors, he adds: "They had a fantastic season last season and are getting judged on that, but I think Jim will be pleased with where they are at."

Martindale adds that he hopes to add five new players, with five leaving, during January as they need to "improve up front".

As for Kilmarnock, they are unchanged from the goalless draw with St Mirren.

  11. Souttar & Moore start for Rangers; Buddies change twopublished at 19:20 GMT 30 December 2025

Rangers v St Mirren (19:45 GMT)

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl has also made two changes as John Souttar starts in place of Dujon Sterling, who isn't in the squad, and Mikey Moore replaces Connor Barron.

That means Mohamed Diomande will drop deeper to play alongside Nico Raskin and Moore will support Youssef Chermiti in attack.

The lesser-spotted Rabbi Matondo is also on the bench for the hosts. The Wales winger hasn't featured for Rangers since 9 January.

Two changes for St Mirren following Saturday's 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock.

Jayden Richardson replaces Conor McMenamin on the right flank, and Mikael Mandron comes into to replace Dan Nlundulu. Mark O'Hara is injured and isn't in the squad.

  12. 'We have to find solutions' - Rohlpublished at 19:19 GMT 30 December 2025

Rangers v St Mirren (19:45 GMT)

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Scotland: "It's the next chance to get three points, this is the most important today.

"We face a team where we couldn't win this year - as Rangers, that's something we have to improve. We face a team who's really organised, direct, physically strong and a different challenge to the last game at home - for this, we have to find the solutions."

On potential activity in the January transfer window: "We want to prepare something, we want to do something, but let's see how the market is. It's not so easy in January.

"We have a clear idea of what we want to do and which areas we want to do something. In general, we want to improve my group of players.

"It's great [to have John Souttar back]. I was really happy with [Dujon Sterling] but we have to be careful with the load and the same with Connor [Barron]. Unfortunately Bojan [Miovski] is ill.

"We need the same effort as the last game at home. If you can do it again and again, you have the chance to achieve something."

  13. Thelin demands composed Aberdeenpublished at 19:16 GMT 30 December 2025

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (19:45)

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells BBC Scotland: "We always try to find a way to win the game. It's a tough schedule, three away games in a row now, so energy is important as well as the qualities to match Hibernian.

"They are good at what they do. We have to be good with the ball today. They are fast in transitions and how they play.

"I think it will be an open game but we need to be good with the ball to give us the chance to take the points."
