A Kelle Roos own goal has doubled Chesterfield's lead over Notts County, who were aiming to go top.

Play-off chasing Salford lead second-bottom Harrogate through a Daniel Udoh penalty to break the deadlock at the Peninsula Stadium.

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:44 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stockport 1-1 Lincoln

Rob Street is being sought out in the box again for Lincoln and this time, he's found.

Dom Jefferies delivers the cross, Street's rises highest but the striker's header drifts just right of the post.

    The Imps are pushing here.

  3. OFF THE LINE!published at 16:41 GMT 26 December 2025

    Blackpool 1-0 Doncaster

The visitors are still pushing for that equaliser.

A Rovers' effort comes off a Blackpool man to roll to Brandon Hanlan's feet.

He strikes and it's goal-bound but Olly Casey blocks it right on the line to prevent a leveller.

    Deep breath, Tangerine fans.

  4. goal

GOAL: Bristol Rovers 2-2 Bromleypublished at 16:40 GMT 26 December 2025

    Ben Thompson (81 min)

    From two down, it's 2-2!

How costly is that red card for Shaq Forde looking now?

Ben Thompson comes off the bench to get his side level, with the ball falling to the midfielder in the box and he puts it away!

Now the Gas have nine minutes plus added time to hang on to the point.

  5. CHANCE!published at 16:40 GMT 26 December 2025

    Walsall 1-0 Crewe

This really feels like one of those games Walsall will need to see out if they're going to go a step further than last season and gain promotion.

And this might just have been one of those chances they really needed to take in the game.

Substitute Aaron Pressley has a golden opportunity to make it 2-0 and secure all three points but he puts it just wide.

Luton celebrate against WycombeImage source, Shutterstock

Callum Wright has equalised for Wigan at Bradford but the Latics are down to 10-man after Jensen Weir is shown a red card. It's 1-1 at Valley Parade.

Luton are up 4-0 against Wycombe thanks to second half goals from Jordan Clark and Shayden Morris.

And Xavier Amaechi has pulled a goal back for 10-man Plymouth. They now trail Reading 3-1. Lorent Tolaj had the opportunity from the penalty spot to make it 3-2 but Joel Pereira pulled off the save.

  7. Postpublished at 16:38 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stockport 1-1 Lincoln

It's getting loud at Edgeley Park.

Adam Reach curls one into the box for Rob Street but the cross catches a deflection to take it away from his teammate and out for a corner.

Lincoln take it short, sending it to Jack Moylan, who tries to beat the difficult angle but sees it once again intercepted to ripple the wrong side of the side netting.

Will we see a winner here?

  8. Cardiff to extend their lead at the top?published at 16:34 GMT 26 December 2025

    Cardiff 1-0 Exeter

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Cardiff fans are keeping an eye on results elsewhere, particularly at Bradford and Stockport.

As things stand, with their promotion rivals Bradford drawing at home to Wigan and Lincoln level at Stockport, the Bluebirds are five points clear at the top of League One.

  9. Postpublished at 16:33 GMT 26 December 2025

    Blackpool 1-0 Doncaster

Blackpool are irritated to see Doncaster awarded a free-kick in a promising position and you can see why.

Ben Close curls it in well but it takes a touch from a Tangerine shirt to see it out for a corner.

Rovers can't deal damage with it but they are starting turn the screw now.

  10. League Two latestpublished at 16:33 GMT 26 December 2025

An Isaac Hutchinson penalty had put Cheltenham 3-0 up against Shrewsbury but John Marquis has pulled a goal back for the Shrews.

The deadlock has been broken at Chesterfield as Lee Bonis puts the Spireites in front against Notts County, who were chasing top-spot today.

Max Clark has made it 1-1 for Gillingham against Cambridge.

Salford v Harrogate, Newport v Barnet and Grimsby v Oldham are the only games without goals so far.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:30 GMT 26 December 2025

    Stockport 1-1 Lincoln

It's getting really angsty at Edgeley Park.

Ollie Norwood requests a yellow card against Lincoln's Jack Moylan for diving.

The cards are brought out but instead the caution goes Norwood's way for a foul despite the Stockport man not looking like he put a foot on Moylan. Suffice to say, Norwood is not pleased.

  12. goal

GOAL: Bristol Rovers 2-1 Bromleypublished at 16:28 GMT 26 December 2025

    Nicke Kabamba (68 min)

    Now then...

Bristol Rovers, down to 10 remember.

And it's the substitute, Nicke Kabamba, who finishes the cross off into the bottom corner for his seventh goal of the season.

Just over 20 minutes left and we have a real game on our hands as the Gas try to see out what would be an enormous win.

  13. SAVE!published at 16:27 GMT 26 December 2025

    MK Dons 1-0 Swindon

Still the hosts push and this time it's Alex Gilbey who lets fly and forces a good save from Connor Ripley.

As it stands, the Robins will end the day three points behind Walsall at the top of the table.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:25 GMT 26 December 2025

    Cardiff 1-0 Exeter

Exeter's second-half is getting more dour.

Now it seems Akeel Higgins has picked up an injury and will need to be replaced by Reece Cole.

  15. Postpublished at 16:23 GMT 26 December 2025

    Bristol Rovers 2-0 Bromley

It's Bromley who have the extra player but they've not been able to capitalise on the advantage, and they almost found themselves three down.

Fabrizio Cavegn gets in behind the defence and shoots across goal again, but this time it's wide of the post and he doesn't add to his first-half goal.

  16. Postpublished at 16:23 GMT 26 December 2025

    Blackpool 1-0 Doncaster

    Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Blackpool's George Honeyman clips George Broadbent and the visitors want to see a colourful punishment handed out.

Honeyman is already on a yellow so another would mean marching orders but luckily for him, the referee doesn't see it as worth plucking his cards out for.

  17. League One latestpublished at 16:23 GMT 26 December 2025

    #bbcefl

Huddersfield are now 5-0 up against Port Vale. Second half goals from Alfie May and Leo Castledine with his second has the Terriers on their way to three points.

Mansfield have come from two goals down as Stephen McLaughlin has made it 2-2 at Barnsley.

  18. CLOSE!published at 16:20 GMT 26 December 2025

    MK Dons 1-0 Swindon

So close to the equaliser for Swindon.

The net ripples - but it's the wrong side of the post!

Jamie Knight-Lebel heads it goalwards and it's saved by Craig MacGillivray, but he gets a second bite at the cherry and shoots just wide into the side-netting.

  19. Young Cardiff defender Lawlor continues to impresspublished at 16:20 GMT 26 December 2025

    Cardiff 1-0 Exeter

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

It's a beautifully taken goal from Alex Robertson, whose first touch is as impressive as his finish.

The assist is arguably just as good - a perfectly weighted long ball from centre-back Dylan Lawlor.

The 19-year-old Wales international has a superb range of passing, as he's demonstrated for club and country during this breakthrough season of his.

No wonder there are Premier League clubs keeping tabs on him.

  20. goal

And Ollie Norwood... sees his penalty saved!

No bother. Jayden Fevrier is quick to pounce on the rebound and knock it into the net.
