  1. Postpublished at 12:38 BST 2 May

    Hull City 0-0 Norwich

The noise levels went up at the MKM Stadium with news of that early Middlesbrough goal.

But it very quickly went quiet after hearing about that Derby goal - the Tigers have gone from seventh, to sixth, and back to seventh in the space of about 90 seconds.

    One of those days already!

  2. CLOSE!published at 12:37 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 1-0 QPR

    This could be 3-0 already.

Wes Burns whips in a cross from the right which Jaden Philogene takes under his spell near the penalty spot but his powerful half-volley is brilliantly blocked by Amadou Mbengue.

  3. 'A great start from Boro'published at 12:37 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbrough

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Radio Tees

Middlesbrough can't gift Wrexham anything now in this game.

It has been a great start from Boro, they need to continue.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:36 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 1-0 QPR

Town are absolutely rampant and QPR are reeling.

Jaden Philogene makes a yard of space on the edge of the box and curls towards the far post only for Joe Walsh to parry away strongly diving to his left.

  5. goal

GOAL: Derby 1-0 Sheff Utdpublished at 12:36 BST 2 May

    Sam Szmodics (5 mins)

Chaos but Derby are in the top six as it stands.

Just as there were wonders of a handball in the box, the discussion of a penalty call is silenced by the quick footwork of Sam Szmodics, who darts to the front of the net to poke in Jaydon Banel's cross.

    Excellent start.

  6. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbroughpublished at 12:34 BST 2 May

    Tommy Conway (4 mins)

Perfect start for Middlesbrough! Worst start possible for Wrexham.

Morgan Whittaker floats it down the right for Callum Brittain to chase and he squares it to the near post for Tommy Conway to bundle in from close range.

With the click of a finger, the Welsh side are outside the play-off places as things stand.

Boro are up to third after Ipswich's early opener.

  7. Postpublished at 12:34 BST 2 May

    Derby 0-0 Sheff Utd

This has been an immense start from the Rams.

Joe Ward unleashes a shot at goal within for the opening 15 seconds but is easily collected by Blades stopper Adam Davies, while within 90 seconds Sam Szmodics is getting beyond the defence to slice a strike wide.

    Derby mean business.

  8. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 1-0 QPRpublished at 12:34 BST 2 May

    George Hirst (3 mins)

    DREAMLAND.

Nerves? What nerves? This is so slick.

Town have flown out of the blocks and have a goal to show for it after 180 seconds.

Jack Taylor slots through the defence for the marauding Leif Davis on the left again, his low cross into the middle gets past Joe Walsh and is perfect for George Hirst to tap over the line from barely a yard out.

The roof is off Portman Road.

  9. Opta wizards have their saypublished at 12:33 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras, Wrexham

It's fair to say the 'as it stands' table is going to go into overdrive throughout the course of this afternoon.

Here in north Wales, we have the incredible scenario that both sides have a whole lot to gain, with Middlesbrough still in the mix to finish second and Wrexham looking to claim the fourth and final play-off place.

So what do Opta say about both side's chances of achieving their aim today?

Championship automatic promotion (% likelihood to finish second):

    Ipswich Town - 73.7%

    Millwall - 24.1%

    Middlesbrough - 2.2%

Race for sixth place (% likelihood to finish sixth):

    Wrexham - 46.34%

    Hull City - 34.14%

    Derby County - 19.52%

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:33 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 0-0 QPR

Leif Davis has the chance to make it a dream start for Town inside two minutes as Jack Taylor slots him through down the left but Joe Walsh flies off his line and makes a low block to turn the ball behind for a corner.

Could Davis have rounded the keeper? Or even squared for Wes Burns in the middle. Maybe. But it doesn't matter now.

As a Hull fan, I cannot help but think we have thrown our chances away. Since February our form has been horrendous (even with results going our way!). Some top players back today, though. Maybe, just maybe…!

    Jack, Leicestershire

My wife is a Wednesday fan (not the TV show!) and has been wanting the season over since Xmas - she's hoping for a win today, however, so they don't go down with minus points!

    Andrew, Leeds

I’m not particularly excited as a Boro fan as we really don’t have much chance. Would like Millwall to get second assuming we don’t. Haven’t spoken to anyone this season who wants Ipswich to go up.

    Chris, Kidderminster

So excited! Up and ready to go at 3.45 am in Scottsdale, Arizona to watch the mighty ITFC return to the Premier League. We are Premier league!

  12. Postpublished at 12:32 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough win an early free-kick midway inside the Wrexham half but it doesn't beat the first man.

The hosts are able to break away quickly through Ollie Rathbone, who has a pop from distance, but it's straight at Sol Brynn in the Boro goal.

  13. Sea of redpublished at 12:32 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras, Wrexham

This place is a sea of red today.

So many Boro fans are in fancy dress, and they unfurled a large banner ahead of kick-off while the home fans, as ever, have an array of flags and banners scattered around the ground.

Wrexham's dragon mascot held up a scarf with the motto 'history only tells a story', and the home fans erupted as the players walked on to the pitch, belting out a rendition of 'there's only one Phil Parky'.

Strap yourselves in folks. This is going to be quite a ride.

  14. 'Giving me goosebumps'published at 12:31 BST 2 May

    Millwall 0-0 Oxford

Just listen to that noise. The noise in this stadium is giving me goosebumps.

It is making me want to be out there on that pitch.

    Ipswich 0-0 QPR

    Incredible atmosphere at Portman Road.

They've been there, seen it and done it before, but the flags are out, the voices are up, and the fan zone which opened at 10am has clearly done some brisk business.

The simplest equation of all... win and Town are up.

These QPR fans have seen more than their fair share of final day drama over the years, however..

    Better buckle up.

Nail biting time. Will we be going to Lincoln or Liverpool next season?

    Stephen, Ipswich

Gutted Saints are no longer in the running for automatic promotion. If we had beaten Norwich & Oxford around Christmas, this race would be over. If Tonda started the season with us,we would have probably won the title. Can have no regrets or complaints, though - Eckert & co have been sensational. He has given us pride again. COYS!!

    Daniel, Isle of Wight

Would love to see another London team in the Premier League. A good friend is a Millwall fan and me Arsenal. A new London derby would be cool.

  19. Teams are out...published at 12:27 BST 2 May

    12 games kick-off at 12:30 BST

264 players, 12 referees and 24 assistants are out of a dozen tunnels up, down and across the land, and hundreds of thousands of expectant fans greet them.

One of the best dates of the football calendar is here, a day when dreams are made, or shattered.

The time for talk is over. The only thing left to do is see how it all plays out.

    Kick-off is moments away...

  20. Emotions ‘all over the place’ for Ipswich fanspublished at 12:26 BST 2 May

They got relegated last season but Ipswich are hoping to bounce straight back up to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

BBC Newsbeat caught up with Imogen Cook, 19, who says her emotions are “honestly, all over the place”.

The Tractor Boys are in second place in the table - with pundits saying they’re in the driving seat “but under pressure”.

For Imogen though, it’s “absolutely surreal” that Ipswich are pushing for promotion again as they face QPR at home this afternoon.

“I am feeling confident,” she says.

“Hopefully the team will put together an amazing performance.”
