A ridiculous first half befitting of what is at stake. But a result that does neither any favours as things stand.

Boro led early through Tommy Conway before an excellent 25-yard free-kick from Josh Windass and a Sam Smith bullet header turned the game on its head.

Within two minutes of going ahead, though, Wrexham were pegged back by David Strelec's fine finish from a Matt Targett cross.

Wrexham need victory for a play-off spot. Boro need a win to keep alive any faint, faint hopes of automatic promotion. Neither is happening right now.

  2. Postpublished at 13:18 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 2-0 QPR

Leif Davis swings in a rather tame free-kick from the left of the R's box which is flicked on by Darnell Furlong at the near post but deflects behind off Jonathan Varane.

There was never any chance that QPR would do us a favour and beat the Town. Come on Millwall, at least third and home advantage.

    Wrexham 2-2 Middlesbrough

    Mark Drury
    BBC Radio Tees commentator

Boro are now pressing to go back in front before the break.

It is end to end stuff here at the Racecourse.

Wrexham are definitely giving it their all though.

  7. Postpublished at 13:15 BST 2 May

    Hull City 1-1 Norwich

Roars in the MKM Stadium with that Middlesbrough equaliser.

All a bit academic to be honest with Norwich completely on top.

  8. Silence againpublished at 13:15 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 2-2 Middlesbrough

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras, Wrexham

    This is becoming utterly ridiculous.

Strelec turns the ball beyond Danny Ward, and the home fans are silenced yet again.

The Boro players barely even celebrate and walk back to restart the game.

  9. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 2-2 Middlesbroughpublished at 13:13 BST 2 May

    David Strelec (43 mins)

My word... Told you the final-day madness was in full swing.

Within two minutes of climbing back into the play-off places, Wrexham are back out again.

Matt Targett curls in a delightful cross from the left and David Strelec guides home an excellent first time finish into the far corner from the centre of the box for Boro.

    All square again.

  10. Postpublished at 13:13 BST 2 May

    Hull City 1-1 Norwich

Complete silence in the MKM Stadium.

The air has been sucked out of the place.

That Wrexham goal makes Hull City's job even harder - they now need at least two more goals - a win by a goal more than Wrexham will be enough for the Tigers.

  11. Postpublished at 13:12 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 2-0 QPR

Ipswich are rocking a little here.

A couple of QPR shots from the edge of the box being blocked in the goalmouth and all of a sudden Town's backline look nervous.

Christian Walton relieves the pressure as he comes off his line to claim a high Hoops corner, however.

    Sam Smith (41 mins)

    HUGE GOAL!

Issa Kabore drives down the right and flashes a cross to the near post and Sam Smith is there to power a bullet header into the top corner.

From 1-0 down, Wrexham have turned it around and now they are back into the play-off spots!

The final-day madness in full swing.

  13. Postpublished at 13:10 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 2-0 QPR

QPR have certainly grown into this game after being blown away early on and have applied some pressure of late.

Jacob Greaves' tame clearing header presents them with the ball 20 yards out, but Harvey Vale's right-footed effort is high and wide of Christian Walton's goal.

They're missing Richard Kone and Rumarn Burrell in the final third, it's fair to say.

  14. Postpublished at 13:10 BST 2 May

    Hull City 1-1 Norwich

A goal for Hull City sends them into the play-offs as things stand.

The trouble is Norwich are not playing ball, well in a way they are and too well for the liking of the home supporters.

  15. 'Nervous murmurs' at Pride Parkpublished at 13:10 BST 2 May

    Derby County 1-0 Sheffield United

    Angus Paterson
BBC Radio 5 Live at Pride Park

There were loud celebrations when Norwich’s goal went in a few minutes ago, and then a very nervous murmur when Hull and then Wrexham scored.

Derby need to win and for those Wrexham and Hull games to go their way as well.

  16. Postpublished at 13:10 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 1-1 Middlesbrough

Morgan Whittaker tries to direct his header towards goal for Boro from Luke Ayling's sharp cross from the left but it's too far behind him and he can only manage to guide it wide of the far post.

  17. Postpublished at 13:09 BST 2 May

    Derby 1-0 Sheff Utd

Blades left-back Harrison Burrows gets into a great position into the box but his nod just heads wide.

With both Wrexham and Hull picking up a point, Derby would fall back to eighth if they concede as it stands.

Not quite nail-biting just yet but a little tense all the time.

  18. Hull fans finally out of their seatspublished at 13:09 BST 2 May

    Hull City 1-1 Norwich City

    Shourjo Sarkar
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live at the MKM Stadium

The Hull fans - who have been so quiet all half - have all stood up now. They've had very little to shout about in this first half but McBurnie scored to get them out of their seats.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:07 BST 2 May

    Hull City 1-1 Norwich

Kellen Fisher pulls back Joe Gelhardt and that is a caution for the Norwich man.

The first card of the game.

  20. Postpublished at 13:06 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 1-1 Middlesbrough

Heart in mouth moment for Wrexham...

There's an almighty scramble in the home side's box from a Boro corner and Danny Ward just about manages to save in unorthodox fashion, catching the ball between his legs before getting his hands on it.
