    Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbrough

Dael Fry makes a vital interception for Boro to prevent an attempted through ball.

Wrexham are pressing very high and trying to pen the visitors back into their own defensive third.

The Red Dragons need two goals as it stands to muscle back into the top six.

    Hull City 0-0 Norwich

Norwich, unlike QPR elsewhere, have not come to roll over.

Jacob Wright dinks a lovely ball over the top but Kellen Fisher's touch is too heavy and Ivor Pandur comes out to make the save at his feet.

Hull City have failed to win any of their past six games where one victory would have them ahead in the race for the top six - are they going to pass up yet another and their final chance to nick a play-off spot?

    Commentator on BBC Radio Humberside

'Come on City' is the shout from one lone Hull fan to my right.

The fans are just creating, and sensing a bit of anxiety here.

    Ipswich 2-0 QPR

Jaden Philogene thinks the promotion race is over, he rolls his studs over the ball with a little razzle-dazzle on the touchline but makes a hash of it, inviting the annoyed Amadou Mbbengue to lunge in at the loose ball and catch the Town man on the ankle.

Philogene gets some treatment but will be fine to continue.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:48 BST 2 May

    Derby 1-0 Sheff Utd

Blades stopper Adam Davies makes a real blunder at the back, clumsily passing straight to Carlton Morris but the Rams striker can't get himself set to punish it with a whip into the net.

The ball is then up the other end for the Blades to earn a free-kick, curled in with pace by Gus Hamer but shot-stopper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom stretches to make a great save to keep it out.

Derby have been enjoying a blistering start so far but a cushion would make them feel that much better.

If they are to lose out on the play-offs today, they'll want to know it's because of reasons out of their own hands.

  6. Postpublished at 12:48 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbrough

Already feeling like a case of what could have been for Middlesbrough, with Ipswich cruising towards the Premier League.

Middlesbrough have spent 35 of the 45 Championship matchdays before today’s final game in the top two - longer than any other side in the race to go up.

Boro ended a seven-game winless run (D4 L3) with back-to-back home wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Watford. But that long stretch without victory seems to have almost certainly cost them automatic promotion, barring a miracle at Portman Road.

    Hull City 0-0 Norwich

    Almost for the home side.

A dreadful backpass from Jack Stacey gives Ollie McBurnie a sniff but Ruairi McConville sticks out a leg to put the ball behind for a corner.

A few early goals to tell you about away from our main games this afternoon.

Southampton are heading into the play-offs 19 games unbeaten as it stands, Taylor Harwood-Bellis has put Saints one up at Preston.

Portsmouth are finishing the campaign strong, and are on course for a fifth win in six thanks to Adrian Segecic's opener at home to Birmingham.

While promotion-chasing Ipswich may have made a fast start at Portman Road, the award for earliest goal of the day goes to Delano Burgzorg, who put Bristol City ahead after a minute against Stoke City.

Some massive news breaking on the final day of the season as Sheffield Wednesday host West Bromwich Albion.

The Owls have announced that US consortium Arise Capital Partners has completed a takeover of the club, officially bringing to an end Dejphon Chansiri's ownership.

The group is led by David Storch, 73, an American executive whose background is in the aviation services sector.

Storch's son, Michael, and Tom Costin complete the three-man consortium.

Costin brings football experience to Wednesday through Blue Crow Sports Group - a multi-club football ownership and investment platform with controlling interests in Leganes from Spain, Le Havre in France and Mexican club Cancun FC.

    Hull City 0-0 Norwich

Suddenly because of what is happening elsewhere, Hull City's destiny is in their own hands but they need to get going and get themselves in front.

Home goalkeeper Ivor Pandur keeps out a stinger from Kellen Fisher from 20 yards.

  11. Postpublished at 12:45 BST 2 May

    Millwall 0-0 Oxford Utd

The Lions have made a bright start as they seek to find a win which would, at the very least, secure third place and home advantage in the play-offs, given Ipswich's fast start.

Thierno Ballo has headed over from a Femi Azeez cross and fizzed an effort wide from a Zak Sturge pass into the box while Jake Cooper has seen an effort from a corner held by U's keeper Jamie Cumming.

  12. Strong responsepublished at 12:44 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbrough

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras, Wrexham

Wrexham have responded very well to going behind.

They're pressing Boro well, and Ollie Rathbone has just fired another shot at goalkeeper Sol Brynn from distance.

But as things stand, Boro are missing out on the top two and Wrexham are missing out on the top six. Not ideal as far as the 10,300 or so fans in this iconic ground are concerned.

  13. Postpublished at 12:43 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 2-0 QPR

'We're going to Arsenal, you're going to Spurs" chant the jubilant Town fans at their London visitors.

Opta would tend to agree with them.

  14. Postpublished at 12:42 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbrough

It's been an excellent response to going behind by Wrexham and they're playing most of the game in the Boro half.

Just need that all-important clear-cut chance to get back on terms.

You'd expect there will be more goals in this one.

  15. Relaxed mood in Swanseapublished at 12:42 BST 2 May

    Swansea 0-0 Charlton

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

There's a party atmosphere among both home and away fans in the early stages in sunny Swansea.

While the stakes are high at various other grounds in the Championship this afternoon, there is little pressure on either side here - and the mood is light as a result.

On the pitch, Swansea are enjoying plenty of early possession - while Charlton have shown already that their set-pieces could be a threat.

  16. 'An incredible start from Ipswich'published at 12:41 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 2-0 QPR

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

This has been an incredible start from Ipswich.

I was hoping that they would be 2-0 up at half-time, maybe one goal after 15 minutes, but this is just amazing.

Now you're going to believe it... Town are going up...

This is unbelievably slick, one-touch play after catching QPR trying to play out from the back.

The ball is worked to George Hirst on the edge of the area and he plays a reverse pass for Jaden Philogene in the box to settle himself and stroke past Joe Walsh into the bottom corner.

Exhilarating football. As good as they have been all year, surely.

  18. Postpublished at 12:39 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbrough

Who knows how important finishing third will be in terms of the play-off semi-final fixtures?

It was set to be Southampton for Middlesbrough before kick-off. As it stands, they'd be facing Derby.

Long, long, long way to go of course...

  19. Postpublished at 12:39 BST 2 May

    Ipswich 1-0 QPR

People have maybe been a little snarky about Ipswich's place in the promotion race of late, but let me tell you, when they are brimming with attacking confidence like this, boy, they are something to watch...

  20. Boro's early blitzpublished at 12:38 BST 2 May

    Wrexham 0-1 Middlesbrough

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras, Wrexham

The noise erupts in the away end as Boro take the lead.

Following an initial silence, Wrexham fans respond with shouts of 'come on' as they look to rally the troops.

The worst possible start for the home side, but dreamland for Kim Hellberg's men.
