  1. 100 runs

100 up for Lancashirepublished at 14:20 BST 18 April

    Gloucs 136 v Lancs 100-1 (trail by 36)

Josh Bohannon whips one away into the leg side for a single to bring up Lancashire's 100.

They trail Gloucestershire by just 36 runs now after less than 30 overs at the crease.

  2. Postpublished at 14:17 BST 18 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 13-0

Another super over from Keith Barker who continues to trouble the Essex openers with movement from the new ball.

More plays, more misses from Paul Walter.

A thick outside edge past the slips off Ethan Bamber then gives Dean Elgar a streaky first boundary.

The Bears bowler ends the over by sliding one past the outside edge of Elgar's defensive push. Testing stuff.

  3. Postpublished at 14:17 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 247-8 (lead by 9)

    Useful runs for Somerset.

New man in Alfie Ogborne slashes at one and it goes towards the boundary backwards of square when attempting an off drive.

They all count at this stage. Somerset's slender lead increases.

  4. 'Important wicket for Hants'published at 14:15 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 243-8

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

That's an important wicket for Hampshire because Craig Overton's been in form.

Somerset would've been looking to him to give them a decent lead.

  5. Profitable over for the hostspublished at 14:13 BST 18 April

    Northants 64-3 v Middlesex 341

Rebuilding time for Northants as they look to see off the new ball after those three quick wickets before lunch.

They bring up fifty and then Nathan McSweeney unfurls a lovely on-drive back past Tom Helm for his second boudnary to move into double digits.

Stand and admire that one, son.

Saif Zaib also helps himself to a boundary through the covers for his first four and then another on-driven four next ball. Thirteen from the over.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:10 BST 18 April

    Overton c Mayes b Dawson 30 (Hants 238 v Somerset 242-8)

Almost immediately after taking the lead, Somerset lose their eighth wicket.

Liam Dawson gets his second wicket but its not one of the better balls he is bowled today

Craig Overton slaps one straight at short extra cover where Ben Mayes makes a very smart diving catch.

Overton walks for 30. Important wicket psychologically for the hosts after seeing their first-innings score surpassed just a couple of balls earlier.

  7. Somerset leadpublished at 14:09 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 242-7 (lead by 4)

Craig Overton works one down to a fine third man to get through for a single to level the scores.

The following delivery is a beautifully timed shot through mid-wicket for four by Jack Leach and Somerset now lead - a delicious strike from the off spinner.

  8. 'Leach doesn't lack confidence'published at 14:08 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 238-7

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

He doesn't lack confidence with the bat Jack Leach.

I think that most famous one not-out in history, the match-winning partnership with Ben Stokes has given him a lifetime's worth of confidence in his batting skills.

  9. Postpublished at 14:06 BST 18 April

    Gloucs 136 v Lancs 82-1 (trail by 54)

    Runs for Keaton Jennings.

He runs one down to third man to move onto 38 not out off 69 deliveries.

The England international has looked good in his first outing of the season for the Red Rose.

  10. Postpublished at 14:04 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 231-7 (trail by 7)

Craig Overton ducks under a short ballImage source, Shutterstock

Craig Overton works a single into the off side to keep the strike with the final ball of a Liam Dawson over.

Somerset trail Hampshire by just seven runs now. Overton has looked good since lunch.

  11. Postpublished at 14:02 BST 18 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 5-0

A better over from Ethan Bamber who finds his line and draws back-to-back play and misses from Dean Elgar.

The final ball shapes in and runs past the outside edge of the South Africa's defensive push. Maiden

  12. Postpublished at 13:59 BST 18 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 5-0

Ethan Bamber opening the bowling wih Keith Barker and his first over costs a Dean Elgar single.

Both batters able to leave most of them well alone.

A beauty from left-armer Barker as prodigious late outswing induces a big play and miss from Paul Walter. A good over goes for a leg bye.

The Essex top order is missing a key cog in skipper Tom Westley so the opening pair will want to lay a good platform.

  13. Postpublished at 13:57 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 227-7 (trail by 11)

Liam Dawson continues to bowl after lunch from the Hilton end and his final delivery of his 17th over almost goes through Jack Leach who survives once more.

Somerset are creeping into this deficit - they trail Hampshire by just 11 runs now.

  14. 'Any lead welcome'published at 13:57 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 227-7

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Decent over that from Codi Yusuf.

A good leg call by Jack Leach in the penultimate ball of the over but he only had one ball to survive.

The more of a strike Craig Overton can get, the better placed Somerset will be.

Any sort of a lead will be welcome, I can't imagine it's going to be significant.

  15. Afternoon session begins at Northamptonpublished at 13:54 BST 18 April

    Northants 44-3 v Middlesex 341

Toby Roland-Jones to complete his sixth over after taking a wicket with the third ball of it before lunch.

Saif Zaib gets off the nark as he dabs the final ball down to third man for a couple.

Tom Helm continues to Nathan McSweeney.

  16. Back under way at Bristolpublished at 13:52 BST 18 April

    Gloucs 136 v Lancs 74-1 (trail by 62)

We are back under way for the second session on day two at a sun-kissed Seat Unique Stadium in Bristol.

Keaton Jennings turns away Gabe Bell's first delivery after lunch into the leg side for a single to start us off again.

  17. Play resumes at Edgbastonpublished at 13:52 BST 18 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 3-0

Essex begin their reply to Warwickshire's first knock of 190 with Dean Elgar and Paul Walter opening.

Elgar gets off the mark first ball with a single off Keith Barker.

Walter gets tucked up by Barker's fourth ball, prompting a few whoops from the slips, but then guides a full ball into the deep for two.

  18. Postpublished at 13:48 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 219-7

Jack Leach drives through the covers and the ball just gets to the rope for four helpful runs to the visitors.

  19. 'Torrid time for Leach'published at 13:47 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 215-7

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

He's having a fairly torrid time out there Jack Leach.

Two from 29 deliveries and I think 17 of those he's played and missed.

He's brave enough but he's not quite good enough.

  20. Postpublished at 13:45 BST 18 April

    Hants 238 v Somerset 215-7

A minor misfield by Jake Lehmann backward of point allows Jack Leach to scurry off strike for a single and move onto 3 not out.

Somerset's deficit is 23 now and with just three wickets remaining you would imagine that every run will count in this session after lunch.
