    Bell-Drummond b Swanepoel 23 (Worcestershire v Kent 75-4)

Stumps are out of the ground and that means alarm bells for Kent.

That ball has moved a long way!

Daniel Bell-Drummond leaves a Beyers Swanepoel delivery which cuts back viciously to career into the stumps.

The Kent captain looks back almost in disbelief!

    Jones c Bedingham b Conners 10 (Durham v Lancashire 144-4)

The impressive Sam Conners strikes again!

He beats the outside edge of Michael Jones' with back-to-back deliveries but with the final ball of the over eventually gets his man.

Not a lot of footwork to talk about here from Jones who edges to David Bedingham at third slip. Safe hands from the South African.

Lancashire four down. Good perseverance from Conners who has figures for 2-33 now.

    Derbys 77-2 v Glos

It continues to be attritional stuff at Derby.

The ball has not reached the boundary for 12 overs either side of lunch and Mo Abbas now has figures of 0-22 from huis 10 overs.

No wickets for the home side since the interval, though.

    Shot.

A back foot punch is well kept down by Michael Jones (10 not out) towards deep extra cover for four more to Lancashire.

Surrey fan here, very disappointed that the supposed best bowling attack in the counties cant get a breakthrough at their own home ground. The triple championship wins seem a distant memory

    Steve, The Oval

At least you have access to ice creams, Steve.

This is an important one for Leicestershire against a fellow newly-promoted side if they want to stay up this year. I'm more concerned about the bowling than the batting so if they can have sessions like this regularly then they have a good chance.

  6. Postpublished at 14:03 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 140-3

Play and a miss from Marcus Harris as Ben Raine starts to trouble the Australian coming from around the wicket.

The following delivery from Raine is flicked off his pads for a couple by Harris who moves onto 46 not out.

  7. Postpublished at 14:00 BST 24 April

    Worcestershire v Kent 74-3

It continues to be watchful from Daniel Bell-Drummond and Tawanda Mayeye who pick up where they left off before lunch, happy to add the odd run here and there to help their side rebuild.

They need to stay in as a quick couple of Pears wickets would put Kent in big trouble.

  8. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 13:59 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 142-0

Paul Walter gets a leading edge to a ball from Sean Abbott, but the bowler is unable to cling onto the catch in his follow-through.

First real chance for Surrey goes begging. If anyone has ever thrown you a bar of soap they have just used, you'll understand how he feels.

To introduce a salty substance into the wound, Walter then cover drives powerfully for four. He is 57 not out.

  9. 100 runs

100 up for Glamorganpublished at 13:58 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 100-4 v Leicestershire

A wide full toss from Josh Hull is spanked by Sean Dickson to the deep cover boundary as the right-hander gets off the mark.

Dickson then pushes through a quick single into the leg side four balls later to bring up Glamorgan's 100.

  10. Postpublished at 13:56 BST 24 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 122-3

Sussex have added 19 fairly quickly following the resumption.

I think Adrian Harms described Yorkshire's bowling as being wayward, Jack White aside, and it has looked a bit like that from Jhye Richardson at times.

The Australian goes for nine in three balls before pulling things back in the second half of his over.

  11. 100 up for the Bearspublished at 13:55 BST 24 April

    Notts v Warwickshire 105-4

Big appeals from behind the stumps as Lyndon James almost strangles Ed Barnard down the leg-side. Notts keeper Kyle Verreynne is convinced there is a nick and he cannot believe the appeals fell on deaf ears.

Barnard counter attacks with the final ball of the over when he makes beautiful contact with the delivery and sends it into the stands over mid-wicket for the first maximum of the innings - in doing so, he brings up the Bears' 100.

    Durham v Lancashire 125-3

Tighter line from Durham's Ben Raine so far after lunch.

He straps Michael Jones on the pads but height was the issue on this occasion - not out.

  14. Postpublished at 13:49 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 137-0

Great diving save by Sean Abbott to prevent another Essex boundary.

"Goalkeeperesque," says BBC Radio London's Charlie Reynolds.

"He ended up on his backside with his legs in the air," adds colleague Mark Church.

  15. Play resumes at Durhampublished at 13:44 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 122-3

Play resumes at Chester-le-Street, and with the fourth ball back after lunch, Marcus Harris punches a lovely straight drive for four down at long on to move onto 34 not out.

  16. Play resumes at Cardiffpublished at 13:43 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 91-4 v Leicestershire

Josh Hull gets us back under way with the final delivery of the over after he struck just before lunch.

Sean Dickson leaves the first ball of his innings alone outside off stump.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:43 BST 24 April

Hain lbw James 16 (Notts v Warwickshire 97-4)

Notts have a fourth wicket with their second ball after lunch! Lyndon James traps the dangerous Sam Hain in front, it looks a strong shout and the finger goes up.

Bears captain Ed Barnard now strides to the crease with the Bears in need of runs.

  18. 50 runs

for Paul Walterpublished at 13:42 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 132-0

First runs of the afternoon for Essex and they are important ones for Paul Walter, who glances Sean Abbott's second delivery to the fine leg boundary and reaches his second 50 of the summer.

This one has taken him 80 balls.

"It's the London Marathon on Sunday. You often find that after the marathon, people come along to the cricket and put their feet up," says BBC Radio London's Mark Church.

  20. Patel retires after ban from domestic cricketpublished at 13:39 BST 24 April

Samit Patel, who has announced his retirement from domestic cricket, says he "probably wouldn't have played" in a disapproved T20 league earlier this year had he known it would result in a ban.
