    Durham v Lancashire 200-4

    200 is up for Lancashire.

Marcus Harris flicks one off his hips down to the fine leg boundary to move into the seventies.

Durham could do with breaking this partnership Harris has developed with Matty Hurst. It is now worth 56.

    100 partnershippublished at 15:18 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 191-4 v Leicestershire

Kiran Carlson nudges a single to move onto 80 not out and that is the 100 partnership between Carlson and Sean Dickson.

It has been some rescue act between the pair after lunch.

  3. Postpublished at 15:17 BST 24 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 177-5

Sussex have John Simpson and Tom Price at the crease as they look to build their lead before tea.

The visitors have looked very set at times and have been building nicely but Yorkshire have had the knack of taking wickets just as Sussex think about getting on top.

Which is keeping this game very engaging.

  4. Postpublished at 15:17 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 190-1

Tom Westley edges another good one from Matt Fisher but it lands in front of first slip. A moment of fortune for the Essex skipper. Fisher's figures of 0-43 from 12 overs do not reflect how well he has bowled.

  5. Postpublished at 15:15 BST 24 April

    Worcestershire v Kent 131-7

Kent are on the counter attack with Keith Dudgeon (23*) and Matt Milnes (14*) deciding to try to get some much-needed runs on the board.

They have put on 32 since the seventh wicket fell.

Worcestershire won't want to let their minds drift and undo all their good work so an interesting pre-tea portion of the game coming up.

  6. 50 runs

for Miles Hammondpublished at 15:14 BST 24 April

    Derbys v Glos 130-3

Miles Hammond has made a decent start to the season and his third 50 of it arrives from 104 balls as he sweeps a floated delivery from Shoaib Bashir away for four.

The 50 partnership with James Bracey arrives two balls later as Hammond hits the ball to mid-on for a single.

    Malik c James b Hutton 4 (Notts v Warwickshire 179-6)

Another wicket goes down at Trent Bridge.

Zen Malik departs for 4, having only played one dismissive scoring shot, as he looks to dab the ball into the leg-side only to provide a leading edge and find the hands of Lyndon James at point.

Not the first Bears batter to get out playing such a shot today.

Chris Woakes, batting at eight, is warmly received by the Notts faithful as he comes to the crease to join Ed Barnard.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Sean Dicksonpublished at 15:11 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 182-4 v Leicestershire

A cut to deep extra cover goes for a single and that is 50 for Sean Dickson.

He has played really nicely for his half-century, which has come off just 61 balls, and Glamorgan's fifth-wicket partnership has put them back into a decent position in this match.

  9. Postpublished at 15:09 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 189-1

A really good over from Matt Fisher. Paul Walter drives at a wideish one and the ball flies past the two slips and away to the third man boundary. 'Moral victories' are no comfort to the bowler, but that was one of them. Walter is now 78 not out.

  10. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 24 April

    Notts v Warwickshire 179-5

Gorgeous shot from Ed Barnard, who drives Josh Tongue to the cover boundary. He is showing that it is a decent batting wicket.

Remarkably, having already decided to change the ball following yet another inspection, the umpires have requested ANOTHER ball change. Out came the box of balls again.

We are back playing again, hopefully without any further interruptions!

  11. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 176-4 v Leicestershire

This fifth-wicket partnership between Kiran Carlson and Sean Dickson is now worth 85 for Glamorgan.

The hosts have salvaged themselves after lunch in a session they have dominated following a difficult first morning.

    Derbys v Glos 116-3

Derbyshire now have England spinner Shoaib Bashir back into the attack. Miles Hammond lofts him over long-on for a glorious six, the second of his innings.

  13. Postpublished at 15:03 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 183-4

Cracking shot from Lancashire's Matty Hurst.

He cuts one away to the boundary to move onto 25 not out.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Ed Barnardpublished at 15:00 BST 24 April

    Notts v Warwickshire 169-5

An important first half-century of the season for Warwickshire captain Ed Barnard who has played some fine strokes in this innings. The milestone arrives after just 55 deliveries.

His partner at the other end, Zen Malik, is finally off the mark after 21 deliveries as he commandingly swats Brett Hutton through square leg.

  15. Postpublished at 14:58 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 177-4

    Chance for Durham.

Matty Hurst looks to late cut Callum Parkinson for four but only finds the top edge of the bat and Kasey Aldridge at first slip can't quite react quickly enough as the ball flies past him aerially.

Would have been an absolute screamer.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:54 BST 24 April

    Elgar c Foakes b Clark 92 (Surrey v Essex 183-1)

    Surrey have the breakthrough.

Dean Elgar pushes at the final ball of Jordan Clark's 10th over and Ben Foakes - as you would expect - makes no mistake with the catch.

The South African misses out on a 55th first-class century - he hit 15 fours in his 161-ball innings - and is replaced by skipper Tom Westley, who is back in the team following a finger injury.

"On that occasion, Elgar was a little stuck on the crease, but it's been a terrific innings" - BBC Radio London's Mark Church.

Jordan Clark's samurai style top-knot is also worthy of mention at this point, we feel.

  17. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:53 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 170-4

A statement of intent from Lancashire's Matty Hurst.

He uses his feet nicely and comes down the ground to send Callum Parkinson back over his head for the first maximum of the innings over wide long on.

Is the Oval a complete road? Surrey know they're a cooked team now so have to make it as easy as possible not to lose.

  19. Postpublished at 14:49 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 163-4

Good running between Marcus Harris and Matty Hurst.

Harris flicks one off his pads through mid-wicket and manages to make it back for a second run.

Runs haven't flowed as freely as at the beginning of the innings but Lancashire look determined to dig in here.

  20. Postpublished at 14:49 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 177-0

Matt Fisher finds a bit of late inswing but that gives Dean Elgar the opportunity to whip it through mid-wicket off his pads for the 14th boundary of his innings.
