KENT ALL OUT FOR 196published at 16:33 BST 24 April

    Worcestershire v Kent 196

Mikey Cohen is the last man out for Kent who can't quite make it to 200 but nonetheless they will be pleased with that score considering the hole they were in at one stage.

The tail certainly wagged with Matt Milnes finishing unbeaten on 50 and Keith Dudgeon making 38.

Earlier this morning, Zak Crawley fell for 27 and Kent looked in big trouble at 99-7 before their late rally.

Olly Hannon-Dalby and Beyers Swanepoel both grabbed three wickets for the Pears.

  2. 100 runs

for Paul Walterpublished at 16:32 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 239-2

Spin immediately after tea at the Oval and Paul Walter drives former team-mate Dan Lawrence to the mid-off boundary to reach his sixth first-class hundred - this one taking him 175 balls.

He scored 118 in the second innings of the corresponding fixture last season so clearly likes the 'lie of the land' in Kennington.

  3. 250 runs

250 up for Lancashirepublished at 16:30 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 251-6

250 up for Lancashire and with it so comes their first batting point.

Marcus Harris has been a big factor in that and he plays a ramp shot towards deep backward point for a single to move onto 86 not out.

  4. Play resumes at Cardiffpublished at 16:28 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 235-5 v Leicestershire

The players are back on the field for the final session of day one at Sophia Gardens.

Josh Davey's first delivery after tea is tucked away into the leg side by Sean Dickson for a dot ball.

Glamorgan are 15 runs away from picking up their first batting point of the match.

  5. Postpublished at 16:26 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 233-2

    A key session coming up.

If Essex can avoid losing more than a couple of wickets, they will end the day in a strong position.

Paul Walter needs just five more runs for a century, and partner Charlie Allison is 23 not out.

Two slips and a gully in place for Australian paceman Sean Abbott, who is hit for four off the back foot by Allison.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Matt Milnespublished at 16:24 BST 24 April

    Worcestershire v Kent 191-9

Well done Matt Milnes - 50 from 57 balls in a really tricky situation for his side.

Kent were 99-7 and then 155-9 so will be delighted to be approaching 200.

On the other hand, the hosts will be growing more and more frustrated and concerned that they don't let their opponents back into a game they were well on top of.

  7. Glamorgan 'ahead on points'published at 16:24 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 235-5 v Leicestershire - tea

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

If Leicestershire dominated the first session, Glamorgan struck back in style in the afternoon as captain Kiran Carlson and new recruit Sean Dickson put together a fluent start of 125.

Carlson’s run-out dismissal the only flaw of the home side’s afternoon - he struck 13 boundaries, and although the one that took him to 50 was an inside edge, would have been good value for three figures before over-balancing to an Ajaz Patel delivery and flicking the ball to Jake Weatherald at short backward square only for the Aussie to make a smart return.

Dickson has made a good impression after failing to make much of his first two games, and Glamorgan are just ahead on points going into the final session.

  8. Postpublished at 16:21 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 243-6

Good pull shot from Paul Coughlin towards the square leg boundary goes for four and gets the number eight off the mark.

    Coughlin kept that down nicely.

  9. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:19 BST 24 April

    Notts v Warwickshire 244-6

This game remains nicely balanced as we reach tea.

Warwickshire have captain Ed Barnard (82*) to thank for his sizeable contribution in leading the attack with the bat, and since joining him in the middle Chris Woakes (40*) has complemented him as part of a 65-run partnership.

Lyndon James removed Sam Hain with the second ball of the session to leave the Bears in a precarious position, only heightened once Beau Webster dragged on when facing Josh Tongue and then Zen Malik was caught off the bowling of Brett Hutton.

But Barnard and Woakes have led the fight-back for the Bears, whose run rate is just under four.

  10. Play resumes at Durhampublished at 16:19 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 233-6

Ben Raine finishes off his over to new man in Paul Coughlin.

Coughlin comfortably sees off the final two deliveries with two confident defensive strokes.

  11. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:19 BST 24 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 249-5

Sussex's session as they add 146 runs for the loss of two wickets.

That's mainly down to the partnership between Tom Price and John Simpson - currently worth 99.

Price made his third half-century in three matches and Simpson is on 39.

Yorkshire need a little regroup at the interval to come up with a plan to break these two up.

  12. Tea at Derbypublished at 16:13 BST 24 April

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 166-5

A tidy final over from Shoaib Bashir takes the teams up to tea at the Co-op County Ground. He has 1-32 from 11.3 overs - the .3 necessary after Anuj Dal was carried off with an injury during the morning.

Derbyshire picked up three Gloucestershire wickets in the second session including the important one of opening bat Cameron Bancroft for a patient 40.

Miles Hammond, though, is holding the innings together - he has two sixes and six fours in his 69 not out from 140 balls.

  13. Postpublished at 16:13 BST 24 April

    Worcestershire v Kent 179-9

    Kent are still hanging on.

Matt Milnes is now their highest run-scorer this innings with 41 not out.

If Kent can get up towards 200 they will be delighted considering the positions they have been in during the day.

Ethan Brookes is brought on for a bowl at Milnes.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Tom Pricepublished at 16:09 BST 24 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 240-5

Yorkshire have given Joe Root the ball for an over before tea.

It doesn't start too well for the England man though with Tom Price finding the boundary to bring up a half-century.

He has three half-centuries in as many games this season - a man in form.

It's been an excellent contribution from Price and his partnership with Simpson is approaching 100.

  15. Tea at the Ovalpublished at 16:07 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 229-2

    Paul WalterImage source, Shutterstock

Paul Walter finds the boundary off Tom Lawes in the final over before tea at the Oval to progress to 95 not out.

Essex added 101 in the afternoon session for the loss of Dean Elgar and captain Tom Westley.

Elgar will be disappointed to have departed for 92, caught behind off Jordan Clark, but Surrey fought back well after going wicket-less in the morning, having asked the visitors to bat first.

  16. Postpublished at 16:04 BST 24 April

    Worcestershire v Kent 171-9

The players are going to have to wait for their tea as the extra half hour is taken at New Road.

Kent have added 16 for the last wicket with Matt Milnes alongside Mikey Cohen.

Tom Taylor and Olly Hannon-Dalby are seeking the tenth Kent wicket.

  17. Tea at Cardiffpublished at 16:04 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 235-5 v Leicestershire

A second session which undoubtedly belongs to Glamorgan.

Kiran Carlson was the only man to go after lunch, run out by Jake Weatherald at short leg five runs short of a century.

It's been a good fightback from the hosts who were 91-4 at lunch.

Sean Dickson has played excellently, racing to a 61-ball half-century, and he will continue 67 not out alongside Chris Cooke 11 not out in the final session of the day.

  18. Postpublished at 16:03 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 223-2

The end of Gus Atkinson's final over before tea as Charlie Allison clips the England paceman away for four.

Atkinson's figures are 0-52 from 14 overs so far in what is his first senior game since the winter Ashes series.

Atkinson is bowling tremendously this spell. Great variation and keeping his pace above 80mph in his 14th over which has long been his biggest weakness. Would have a wicket were the first slip positioned in a more orthodox fashion.

    Notts v Warwickshire 230-6

    Ed BarnardImage source, Shutterstock

Ed Barnard (76*) and Chris Woakes (32*) have just brought up their 50 partnership as the latter slams spinner Liam Patterson-White, recently into the attack, through the covers.

It is a timely and welcome partnership for Warwickshire, who have lost key wickets at regular intervals this morning and afternoon. It does, though, look a wicket which will be increasingly easier to bat on.

  20. Postpublished at 15:57 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 216-2

Back to back fours for Charlie Allison.

He square cuts Tom Lawes, who finds a better line with the next one and Allison is lucky that a thick edge is not closer to the fielder at gully.
