  1. new ball

New ballpublished at 17:36 BST 24 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 308-5

Could this make the difference for the hosts who have so far had no answer to Tom Price and John Simpson?

Jack White will take the new ball.

  2. Postpublished at 17:33 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 313-7

    Shot.

Marcus Harris, on the front foot once more, driving through the covers for four as he moves onto 114 not out.

    What a glorious sight.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:33 BST 24 April

    Woakes b Tongue 64 (Notts v Warwickshire 295-7)

Big breakthrough for Notts as Josh Tongue claims the wicket of (now former) England team-mate Chris Woakes.

Woakes chops on when trying to run Tongue into the off-side. A stand of 115 with Ed Barnard comes to an end. Notts needed that but Warwickshire will be much happier on the back of that partnership.

  4. Postpublished at 17:32 BST 24 April

    Glamorgan 292-7 v Leicestershire

Change of bowling for Leicestershire as the economical Ian Holland comes back into the attack.

He currently boasts figures of 12 overs, eight maidens, 2-7.

  5. 300 runs

300 up for Sussexpublished at 17:28 BST 24 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 300-5

And exactly half of those runs have come from the current Tom Price (85*) and John Simpson (63*) partnership.

  6. 300 runs

300 up for Lancashirepublished at 17:27 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 303-7

Tickled down the leg side by Tom Bailey for four as Lancashire surpass 300.

Another big milestone ticked off by the Red Rose.

A second batting point for the visitors, too.

  7. 200 runs

200 up for Gloucestershirepublished at 17:27 BST 24 April

    Derbys v Glos 201-6

It's taken Gloucestershire 19 overs to get from 150 to 200 but Miles Hammond square drives Martin Andersson and sprints back for a second run to get them there.

Another couple of overs to follow and then it will be time for the new ball.

    Glamorgan 284-7 v Leicestershire

Glamorgan have settled well again since the dismissal of Sean Dickson for 90.

Tim van der Gugten is 11 not out off 36 balls while Mason Crane has ticked on to 13 off 20.

  10. Postpublished at 17:22 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 295-7

Marcus Harris drives down the ground and Ben Raine may have got fingertips to this as the Australian's shot hits the stumps at the non-striker's end.

Tom Bailey was well in his ground, however, preventing one of those extremely brutal and unusual run outs.

  12. Harris provides the glue for Lancashirepublished at 17:19 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 293-7

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Marcus Harris has been the player to hold things together today for Lancashire. He's been watchful. Studious. And he has scored his second century of the season.

It's his 35th in First Class cricket. The first of those came in his third game when he was only 18.

He currently has 103 from 214 balls and has put together partnerships of 61 with Matty Hurst and 59 with former Durham man Paul Coughlin. The latter has just been bowled by Ben Raine for 31.

It was the second delivery with the new ball. It stayed low and somehow removed both leg and off-stump, while the middle stump stayed put. How did that happen?

There are 14 overs left of day one. Could we see the hosts batting before the close of play.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:16 BST 24 April

    Lategan c Muyeye b Milnes (Worcestershire 32-1 v Kent 196)

Pears opener Dan Lategan has two half-centuries this season with scores of 89 and 65 but he won't be getting another in this innings at least as he falls for 25.

He had scored those 25 from 19 balls with six fours - a sign of his confidence and form at the crease - but an expansive shot too many is his undoing.

Lategan attempts an expansive drive down the ground but is caught in the slips by Tawanda Muyeye.

Matt Milnes, fresh from his heroics with the bat, claims the wicket.

  14. Postpublished at 17:16 BST 24 April

    Surrey v Essex 262-4

"Worthy thane" is a phrase from Shakespeare's Macbeth (ok, the Scottish play) - and Essex are now very much hoping that their own Noah Thain will prove a worthy selection in the middle order.

He has yet to score, but Michael Pepper is under way with four off Matt Fisher.

  15. 100 runs

Century partnership for Barnard and Woakespublished at 17:15 BST 24 April

    Notts v Warwickshire 282-6

Chris Woakes brings up Warwickshire's 100 partnership for the seventh wicket, along with his captain Ed Barnard.

Woakes lifts Lyndon James over mid-wicket and the ball races to the boundary, it is a well measured shot.

We are six overs away from Notts being able to claim the new ball which, right now, you cannot imagine they will have too many qualms about taking.

    Critchley c Burns b Lawes 8 (Surrey v Essex 262-5)

The wheels have come off for Essex at the moment - and we still haven't got to the new ball.

Matt Critchley drives at Tom Lawes and Rory Burns grabs the catch at the second attempt at first slip.

"He just flung his hands at it, it was a huge outside edge," says BBC Radio London's Mark Church.

    He's correct - a really poor shot.

  17. Postpublished at 17:10 BST 24 April

    Derbys v Glos 191-6

You won't find that in the coaching manual.

Miles Hammond backs away from his stumps, Zak Chappell follows him with the ball and the left-hander clobbers it through mid-wicket for four, agricultural style.

Hammond is now 83 not out.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:09 BST 24 April

    Coughlin b Raine 31 (Durham v Lancashire 292-7)

With his second delivery with the new ball, the stumps have been re-arranged!

This one may have stayed a little low on Paul Coughlin.

It goes straight through him and Ben Raine picks up his third of the innings.

    Lancashire seven down.

  19. new ball

New ball takenpublished at 17:08 BST 24 April

    Durham v Lancashire 292-6

The new ball has immediately been taken by Durham.

With the first delivery, Paul Coughlin carves towards a vacant third man boundary as Lancashire move past 290.

  20. Postpublished at 17:07 BST 24 April

    Worcestershire 28-0 v Kent 196

Home batters Dan Lategan and Jake Libby have moved their side to 28-0 after four overs at New Road.

Lategan is a man in form, he has two half-centuries to his name this campaign already.

There's still a fair chunk of this one left with 19 overs to come.
