Jason Holder just misses the yorker and it was just where the batter wants it. But it would have hit the stumps had Sam Curran missed it.

There's one of them! Sam Curran backs away to leg and hammers a yorker from Jason Holder back over his head for six.

  3. Eng 153-8published at 17.4 overs

Liam Dawson is the new batter, who taps another yorker from Jason Holder down the ground for a single to get off the mark.

    England need boundaries. And soon.

It's excellent from Jason Holder. The ball had hit the heels of Jorfa Archer, who didn't know where the ball had gone, and by the time the ball was in Holder's hand, Archer was only halfway down and had already given up.

Archer run out 6 (Holder) - (Eng 151-8)

A yorker from Jason Holder hits Jofra Archer on the boot and Sam Curran, wanting to get on strike, calls his England team-mate through for a single.

Holder picks up the ball, turns and throws at the stumps at the non-striker's end.

Direct hit and Archer is well short of his ground.

It's not looking brilliant for England. Sam Curran will have to do most of the whacking but things can change so quickly in T20. England will need a few boundaries pretty soon.

They had them on the ropes the last time the two sides met, Rehan...

Sam Curran cloths a slog down to long on off Jason Holder.

That sums this England team up. One ball of spin left in the match, and Jamie Overton tries to hit it for six rather than see it off and target pace that has disappeared all day. Utterly brainless.

England need 47 off 18 balls.

Sam Curran needs to produce something special here.

That is a brilliant shot from Jofra Archer. He steps across his stumps and produces a delightful ramp. Batting at number nine is not what it used to be.

  13. Eng 149-7published at 16.4 overs

Brilliant from Jofra Archer, who steps across his stumps to Shamar Joseph and shovels the West Indies seamer round the corner for four.

It feels like it's slipping away from England but I am reticent to speak too soon.

England have still got some batting to come but they'll have to do something special to do it.

  15. Eng 144-7published at 16.3 overs

England send Jofra Archer up the order hoping his long levers might be of more use than Liam Dawson given the situation and the pitch.

Spinners have been far more effective in today’s encounter with lots of assistance found off the surface:

With that, possibly, England's hopes in this game are gone.

It's great work from the boundary from Rovman Powell but was that necessary from Jamie Overton? I'm not sure he committed to the shot fully.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16 overs

    Overton c Powell b Hosein 5 (Eng 141-7)

    Cue Jamie Overton pile on...

The all-rounder goes downtown to Akeal Hosein and nearly, very nearly, gets enough on it but Rovman Powell tips the ball back in from just inside the rope.

Powell's momentum takes him over but he's able to regain his footing and come back inside the boundary to take the catch.

  19. Eng 141-6published at 15.5 overs

Jamie Overton is the new batter for England. He was given the nod over Luke Wood today for his ability to come in and do the business from position with the bat.

Overton mistimes a whack off Akeal Hosein for a couple.

Jamie Overton is a much sought after player in franchise cricket because he can hit it long from the off.
