Jos Buttler reverse slog sweeps Akeal Hosein for four. It's aerial but with fielders up during the powerplay lands safe and rolls over the rope.

Phil Salt is savage! He really is devastating at this stage of the innings.

If you miss on a pitch like this, Salt is going to get you and he certainly has got Jason Holder.

  3. 6 runs

    Eng 31-0published at 2 overs

    Relentless from Phil Salt!

He hammers Jason Holder over mid-wicket for six then thrashes the West Indies all-rounder through the covers for four.

Salt peppering the boundary. He has 29 off 11 balls. Jos Buttler one off one.

This is what the Wankhede Stadium is known for - full of runs, shorter boundaries and a good strip today.

Next ball Phil Salt squirts a drive through point for four then thick edges one from the vacant third region for another four.

Salt has 14 runs off the over.

Phil Salt has dispatched Jason Holder as nonchalantly as Holder did with the bat earlier.

The England opener has made his intentions very clear.

  7. 6 runs

    Eng 13-0published at 1.1 overs

A fraction short from Jason Holder but Phil Salt is on to it as quick as flash, and he heaves it into the stands. England's first maximum of the innings.

TV commentator and former West Indies bowler Ian Bishop laid down by the boundary rope at long-on a little earlier like he was in bed - or some sort of life model. No dew, he said.

  9. Eng 7-0published at 1 over

Akeal Hosein tightens it up off the next five deliveries. Three more runs off the over.

  10. Eng 4-0published at 0.1 overs

England spinner Adil Rashid: "I thought the pitch was pretty good. You can't tell if 197 is a good score or not until we have batted. Would we have taken that at the beginning of the day? We probably would.

"Regarding my own performance. I just come and try do the same thing and play the game in front of you. Personally it worked today. To reach 400 wickets in all T20 cricket is nice but the ultimate aim is to win games of cricket."

Such an poor effort from England bowling again! Our batsmen need to perform if we are going to win this one!

Sam Curran was England's hero against Nepal but he failed to have similar influence today.

West Indies hit 20 runs in the 17th over bowled by the England seamer and it was the most expensive of the innings.

Jason Holder scored 18 of those 20 with three majestic sixes.

Rashid bowled quicker and fuller than he did against Nepal, but found far more assistance off the pitch.

Nepal swept him with 33% of the time, compared to just 8% from the Windies. Nepal didn't play a false shot against Rashid, whereas 40% of balls bowled by Rashid against Windies induced a false shot.

It's an excellent end to the innings for West Indies. A topsy-turvy innings with neither side able to get away. It's probably 15 more than they would have liked but England will come hard here.

  19. West Indies post 196-6published at 20 overs

A six from Sherfane Rutherford to wrap up the West Indies innings.

And it means England will need 197 runs to make it two wins in a row at the T20 World Cup.
