  1. Eng 76-2published at 7 overs

The latest of England's four batting Bs - Tom Banton - strolls out to the middle. He's off the mark with a single.

I loved the change of pace from Roston Chase. It was a little bit slower from the one that was pumped for six. The more pace you take off it, the more purchase you get out of this pitch.

Jos Buttler goes downtown seeking another maximum...and is caught!

This time Roston Chase holds the pace off a little and Buttler cannot quite generate the power needed, as he rocks on the back foot, to get over the rope and Rovman Powell at cow corner claims the catch.

  4. 6 runs

    Eng 74-1published at 6.3 overs

Jos Butler goes deep in the crease, rocks back, and hammers Roston Chase over the head of square leg for six.

  5. drinks break

England 53-1 at drinkspublished at 15:58 GMT 11 February

Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethell take some water on board.

A useful platform established for this chase.

    Speaking of chases, here's Roston.

I still think West Indies are 10-15 runs short but they're only one or two wickets away from putting that pressure on England.

They don't have a bowler like Adil Rashid who could get you the wickets so it has to be more of a collective effort from them.

  7. Eng 67-1published at 6 overs

So far Jos Buttler has been playing second fiddle, content to work singles. But he picks up a boundary with a crisp square drive Shamar Joseph to finish the over.

This is a good start from England. Phil Salt would have been disappointed not to build on his start but Jacob Bethell has come in and looked absolutely flawless.

  9. Eng 58-1published at 5 overs

Jacob Bethell nails a sweep off Akeal Hosein to the fence, now. He's looking a million dollars here.

That's a very attractive shot from Jacob Bethell and a welcome relief for England.

  11. Eng 53-1published at 4.3 overs

Jacob Bethell is off to flyer here. Back-to-back boundaries off Akeal Hosein.

The England left-hander cuts waspishly then picks up another boundary with a similar shot when the ball races through third.

It was a nice explosive start from Phil Salt but he will be disappointed that he couldn't capitalise on that great start.

  13. Eng 44-1published at 4 overs

Barbados-born Jacob Bethell, who has been in lovely touch, is the new batter for England. He's off the mark with a single before square driving Romario Shepherd for four.

Phil Salt couldn't hold himself back there but that is the way he plays. You live by the sword and die by the sword.

    Salt c Rutherford b Shepherd 30 (Eng 38-1)

Phil Salt has given England a brilliant start, but he's on his way back to the pavilion.

The England opener skips down the track to Romario Shepherd but is rushed a fraction looking to hit over long-off and skies it.

Sherfane Rutherford is as safe as houses under the catch.

No opening pair have scored more runs than Salt and Buttler’s 539 for England in T20I cricket. They have done so from just 11 innings together.

I don't mind Phil Salt being away from Akeal Hosein. I would much rather have him face the pacers.

    England are motoring.

Phil Salt has hit the first ball of the innings for six on four occasion, but that one well just short.
