Charlie Bennett's last over went for three boundaries.

He is back again with the first ball hit for four by Fergus O'Neill.

Two balls later O'Neill hoists Bennett into the stands for six.

A tough spell for the former Ipswich School youngster.

    Durham 120-3 v Northants 450

    Everyone needs a drink.

Northants need to find a way of breaking this partnership.

Durham need to maintain their concentration.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:23 BST 20 June

    Barnard st Rew b Leach 19 (Somerset 208 v Warks 202-5)

    Sharp work from Thomas Rew!

Jack Leach gets a little turn and beats the forward defensive prod of Ed Barnard.

The batter's back foot is in the air for a second, but that's all the Somerset keeper needs as he whips off the bails for his maiden first-class stumping.

Zen Malik joins Beau Webster and Somerset have hope.

  5. 300 runs

300 up for Nottspublished at 15:22 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 307-6

Jack Haynes carves Charlie Bennett away to the backward point fence for four runs and up comes the Notts 300.

The next one also disappears to the boundary - three fours in the over in total.

Notts are putting the pedal to the metal.

  6. 200 runs

200 up for Warwickshirepublished at 15:21 BST 20 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 201-4

Having waited 27 balls to get off the mark, Ed Barnard is beginning to pick up the pace.

Josh Shaw errs on to Barnard's pads and he helps it around the corner to the fine leg boundary for four more to go to 19 off 39 balls.

It brings up the Bears 200 as well as the fifty partnership for the fifth wicket with Beau Webster (34) off 82 balls.

Just seven runs behind now and another valuable stand for the visitors.

  7. 50 runs

50 for Max Holdenpublished at 15:21 BST 20 June

    Kent 416 v Middlesex 127-4

That is the way to go to a half-century for Max Holden.

He dances down the track to Matt Parkinson and launches the leggie over long-on for a mighty fine six.

It has come off 75 balls with seven fours and a six.

    Sussex v Hants 86-6 - lead by 118 runs

    Important runs.

It remains a quick outfield despite the amount of wickets we've had and Felix Organ finds the offside boundary for four.

Hampshire's lead is up to 118 now.

An 11th first-class century for Jack Haynes.

He might have been stumped when on 17 but Michael Pepper missed the chance and was also dropped in the 50s but Haynes has made the most of the reprieves.

It is his second century of the season in the Championship and is going a long way to taking this game away from Essex while putting his own team in a winning position.

    Glamorgan v Surrey 42-5 - trail by 316

What a delivery from Tom Norton.

A full length yorker completely deceives Ryan Patel and shaves the outside of off-stump but hits a foot hole and goes the other way.

That would have been teenager Norton's fifth. Patel has another life.

Can Surrey please get Alec Stewart back? The attitude and application this season has been dreadful both with bat and ball. Nothing illustrates that more than Burns tame run -out. Highest paid domestic players in the country? Dock them.

    Paul, Weston

Surrey 35/5 with the young lad Tom Norton taking 4 wickets. This lad has a great future. Surrey don't quite know what hit them.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:14 BST 20 June

    Cox b Hassan Ali 31 (Leics 329-5 v Yorks 185)

The new ball does the trick for Yorkshire.

Ben Cox has played a nice hand but is cleaned up as he plays the wrong line to Hassan Ali's fifth ball with the new cherry.

The delivery holds its line and sneaks beween bat and pad to knock back the middle peg.

Joey Evison joins Nick Kelly with the lead at 144. Can the visitors build on this?

  13. Postpublished at 15:13 BST 20 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 187-4

Good things come to those who wait as Ed Barnard picks up his first boundary from his 30th ball.

Craig Overton offers some rare width and the Bears skipper takes the gift with a fine drive through backward point.

The sun is finally out and Alfie Ogborne and Tom Kohler-Cadmore are back off the sidelines and out in the middle.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:12 BST 20 June

    James lbw b Harmer 40 (Essex 184 v Notts 293-6)

    Finally.

Simon Harmer breaks the Notts sixth-wicket stand.

He loops one up to Lyndon James from around the wicket and it spins back into the Notts man to trap him LBW.

The partnership was worth 96 runs.

Fergus O'Neill is the next one in.

50 for Ben Stokespublished at 15:10 BST 20 June

    Durham 109-3 v Northants 450

Ben Stokes hits the ball over the top for fourImage source, Getty Images

It has looked pretty inevitable since he strode to the wicket at 30-3 but Ben Stokes gets to 50.

It takes 51 balls and he has struck 10 fours while being dropped on 43.

At the very least he may be finding some form should he be recalled by England...

  16. 100 runs

100 up for Middlesexpublished at 15:09 BST 20 June

    Kent 416 v Middlesex 102-4

Middlesex have reached three figures at Canterbury but it is hardly cause for celebration with four players already back in the hutch.

Max Holden and Joe Cracknell have put on 55 for this wicket though, and recoveries have to start somewhere.

  17. new ball

New ballpublished at 15:08 BST 20 June

    Leics 327-4 v Yorks 185

Ben Cox into the groove now as he smashes Dom Bess over extra cover to post back-to-back boundaries.

The Foxes wicketkeeper is up to 30 off 44 balls.

In his next over, Bess lets loose a loud appeal as he goes around the wicket to Nick Kelly and raps him high on the back pad. Not out.

The second new ball is due and taken immediately.

  18. 100 runs

100 up for Durhampublished at 15:08 BST 20 June

    Durham 103-3 v Northants 450

Will Rhodes clips one away for four to take Durham past 100.

He has been going about his business quietly and tidily to support Ben Stokes.

301 is the follow-on target by the way.

  19. 100 runs

100 up for Pearspublished at 15:07 BST 20 June

    Worcs 100-3 v Glos 289

Brett D'Oliveira scampers through for a single off Daz Ahmed - a welcome one for the Pears skipper.

Gloucestershire are keeping things tight. This is the 39th over of the innings, possibly a sign of a pitch that is hard to score on.

  20. Postpublished at 15:05 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 286-5

The Notts lead ticks into three figures.

Simon Harmer's figures have also gone past the 100 mark with the South African having bowled 32 overs for his 2-113.
