Jack Carson's brilliant innings comes to an end.

It's with the new ball, it just bounced a touch more and there was movement there for Matt Fisher.

He deserves the standing ovation because everyone knows he's done that tough. It's a brilliant effort and Surrey finally find the breakthrough.

What an innings from Jack Carson!

Can Hampshire take a couple of wickets now to get them back in this game?

  18. 100 runs

100 for Jack Carsonpublished at 17:21 BST 1 May

    Surrey v Sussex 329-8

A single to Jack Carson takes him to his century - his second in First Class cricket.

He came in with Sussex in all sorts of bother but after building a good partnership with Fynn Hudson-Prentice earlier he has continued that fine work alongside his captain Ollie Robinson (82*).

After falling to 92-7 the visitors desperately needed the tail to wag - and how it has wagged!

  19. 'What a moment for Zain ul Hassan'published at 17:11 BST 1 May

    Hants v Glam 290-1

    Rob Phillips

Zain ul Hassan jogs though for his first-class and maiden century in 250 balls.

He opened the innings with Asa Tribe, he takes off his helmet, gloves dropped to the ground and a big hug with his skipper Kiran Carlson.

What a moment for Zain ul Hassan. He's worked really hard for that.

He's taken his time to get there but my word what a big innings this is for the opener.

  20. 100 runs

    for ul-Hassanpublished at 17:09 BST 1 May

    Hants v Glam 298-1

A big moment in the career of the Islambad-born batter as Zain ul Hassan reaches his maiden first-class century with a single through the fumbled misfield at mid off.

His top score before today was 69 and while this is only his 32nd match at this level, it will have felt like a long time coming.

Not least of which through the nineties which he has tiptoed in singles after resuming after tea 10 overs ago on 87.

He got a life on 29 when he was caught off a no-ball from Scott Currie but he has worked so hard for this century, taking few unnecessary risks.

After saluting his team-mates, hugging his captain, he falls to the turf to kiss the dust.

    Well done, sir.
