  1. Women's One-Day Cup updatepublished at 14:21 BST 25 April

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt won't be matching her predecessor Heather Knight's century today.

She's gone for a first-ball duck in The Blaze's game against Essex, lbw to Sophie Munro, and they are 14-3, chasing a target of 214.

  2. Not outpublished at 14:16 BST 25 April

    Derby v Glos 426-8

I am not sure how Henry Brookes has got away with that swipe off Matt Montgomery.

He swung so hard all the way around and back in to his crease!

Could have been stumped most likely, but multiple other forms of dismissals to that on offer such was the ugly shot, a brain fade from Brookes.

    Well, well, well....

Jamie Smith's last three innings brought him 132, 166 and 89 - but he's gone cheaply today.

The first change by Essex after a spell of 1-11 from six overs by Jamie Porter sees Shane Snater enter the attack and his third delivery sends the England player on his way.

Keeper Michael Pepper didn't take the catch cleanly, but managed to hang onto the chance.

Snater appeals for lbw against Ollie Pope with his next ball - not out.

Lancashire's Arav Shetty injured the webbing on his right hand while fielding this morning and has now been replaced by substitute George Bell.

But it also means Lancashire have no recognised frontline spinner in this game.

It's the second substitution today after Durham replaced the injured Sam Conners with James Minto this morning. Conners has a side strain after bowling 18 overs yesterday.

Meanwhile, the murky conditions have blown away and the sun is out in the North East.

However, Durham are struggling on 94-4 and need a big partnership from somewhere because they trail by 276. The follow-on target is 221.

    Yorkshire 1-0 v Sussex 502

Yorkshire begin their response to Sussex's mammoth 502 at Headingley.

Adam Lyth and Finlay Bean get the home side started.

  7. 50 runs

50 for Williamspublished at 14:06 BST 25 April

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 417-8

Not the best way to get there, edging between fielders through third for four, but his second 50, including those two big sixes off Shoaib Bashir.

    52 from 86 deliveries.

William Salter Austen Williams has a first-class best of 61, but I do not remember him batting above 10 when I played club cricket against him three seasons back.

So maybe this knock is testament to hours spent in the nets working on his secondary skill the past few seasons.

This is truly an invaluable knock for his team.

50 for Adam Hosepublished at 14:00 BST 25 April

    Worcestershire 201-3 v Kent 196

Adam Hose reaches his half-century as Worcestershire breeze past Kent's first-innings total.

Brett D'Oliveira isn't far behind on 43 and their partnership is now over 100 runs.

  9. Postpublished at 13:59 BST 25 April

    Durham 88-4 v Lancs 370

Two big shouts for lbw against Emilio Gay from George Balderson in the previous over and both turned down.

Now the left handed bat has crunched his opponent through the covers for four and cut late to the rope through gully for another.

Gay looks a crucial component in Durham's response here with the middle order well and truly in sight

Nothing to make Jamie Smith's eyes light up since lunch.

Jamie Porter and Sam Cook keeping it tight and the first task for Smith and Dom Sibley is to see these two off - if they can.

Not ideal for Glamorgan's Mason Crane on 88*.

Andy Gorvin lifts Josh Davey straight to mid on with the first attacking shot he has played off his 33 balls faced.

A first wicket as a permanent Leicestershire player for Josh Davey having been taken to a bit by his former teammate Sean Dickson and company across the two days thus far.

Ryan Hadley the last man to try and keep Crane company to his hundred.

  12. Women's One-Day Cup updatepublished at 13:57 BST 25 April

Heather Knight made 103 off 107 balls, including two sixes and nine fours, as Somerset totalled 337-9 against Surrey at Taunton.

In the Roses match at Old Trafford, Yorkshire have been bowled out for 241 despite Jess Jonassen's 108 off 122 balls, with Kate Cross claiming 4-38 for Lancashire.

Amara Carr's 50 off 45 balls saw Essex to 213 all out against The Blaze at Chelmsford.

Hampshire looking to be heading for a comfortable win against Durham - they are 55-1 in the 11th over after dismissing the visitors for just 118, Lauren Bell taking 5-22.

50 for Brookespublished at 13:49 BST 25 April

    Derbs v Glam 404-8

    Milestones galore!

1000 first-class runs for Henry Brookes earlier today, in just his third Glos innings, he now reaches a half-century. 50 off 84 balls.

Great to see the bottom side of the Championship showing some real fight here.

  15. 400 and 100 partnership for Glospublished at 13:48 BST 25 April

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 402-8

For the first time this season they make 400.

Matt Montgomery who took that catch of the season contender off Graeme van Buuren yesterday, gets Glos the 400 with a bye, too slow for his 'keeper to stop!?

That is now the record highest partnership for Glos v Derbyshire for the ninth wicket, Matt Taylor and Zafar Gohar eclipsed.

    Chapeau chaps.

  16. Postpublished at 13:48 BST 25 April

    Surrey 18-1 v Essex 409

Everybody's talking about Jamie - well, just for a few minutes anyway.

Jamie Porter beats Jamie Smith with a beauty at the end of his first over after lunch at the Oval.

"There'll be a few of those," says BBC Radio London's Mark Church.

  17. Postpublished at 13:45 BST 25 April

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 399-8

98 runs now the partnership between these two new bowlers for Glos.

Mo Abbas opens after lunch and is taken for eight off his 27th over.

  18. Simpson in the runs - againpublished at 13:45 BST 25 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 502 - lunch

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Another outstanding session for Sussex, adding 129 for the last four wickets and having been 150-5 yesterday, the lower middle order have batted them into a very strong position.

John Simpson takes the plaudits and his 136 continues his extraordinary run of centuries since he arrived at Sussex, 11 of them now, and he shared partnerships of 165 with Tom Price and 83 with Fynn Hudson-Prentice.

Yorkshire bowled far better lines and lengths this morning with Jack White and George Hill being the pick of the attack, Australian Test bowler Jhye Richarsson was less impressive, his wicketless 21 overs costing 131 runs

This does look a good batting surface and remains to be seen whether the Sussex bowlers can extract more out of it than Yorkshire.
