    Nooo!

What a wild shot from Mason Crane.

He had batted superbly, 99 off 212 balls, then last ball of Ajaz Patel's 46th over he panics about letting Ryan Hadley face the next if he just defends it, and attempts a slog sweep off an international Test spin-bowler who once took 10-fer in an innings!

Could have been bowled or caught behind had he even managed to make any contact, to make matters worse he got away with both, but swung so hard he edged out of his crease!

A disastrous end to a cracking knock, by far his career-best.

Still a great first innings total from Glamorgan.

  6. Postpublished at 14:40 BST 25 April

    Yorkshire 16-0 v Sussex 502

So far so good for Yorkshire who are content to accumulate runs slowly.

The current run rate is 1.88 with Finlay Bean on 11 from 28 and Adam Lyth on five from 24.

  7. No hat-trick for Baileypublished at 14:39 BST 25 April

    Durham 121-6 v Lancs 370

Ben Raine keeps Tom Bailey out as a dot ball follows two in two.

Massive over still for Lancs who have sight of the Durham tail and a massive lead in the tank (249 runs as it stands)

    Hose b Milnes 75 (Worcestershire 245-4 v Kent 196)

Adam Hose, having played so well to reach 75, tries to push one away off his pads but completely misses the inswinging ball and it sends his leg stump cartwheeling!

Matt Milnes continues his fine body of work in this game as he takes his third wicket - and he took the catch in the fourth dismissal.

That wicket was a long time coming for Kent, Hose and Brett D'Oliveira made 141 between them either side of lunch.

The Pears skipper is on 63.

  9. Crane 99*published at 14:36 BST 25 April

    Glam 439-9 v Leic

He manages the rest of Josh Hull's over, takes a single, then cuts Ajaz Patel's first ball for one...

    Aldridge c Jones b Bailey 0 (Durham 120-6 v Lancs 370)

And another... hat trick ball incoming.

That is a great ball to get first up. Down the fourth stump channel and the edge off a defensive push forward goes straight to Michael Jones at first slip.

Bailey deserved that, has challenged the batters all morning and now reaping the rewards. Durham have looked tentative all morning. The decision to put Lancs in yesterday looking more and more questionable.

    Gay c Jones b Bailey 41 (Durham 120-5 v Lancs 370)

    Big wicket for Lancs...

Full pitched delivery which draws Emilio Gay into an expansive drive and the edge flies to Michael Jones at slip.

  12. Postpublished at 14:33 BST 25 April

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 439-8

Shoaib Bashir comes back for another try, but this just lights up Will Williams' eyes even with two men back straight he hits him for four down the ground.

    Great shot.

  13. Postpublished at 14:31 BST 25 April

    Notts 61-2 v Warks 459

Ben Duckett and Joe Clarke are making very sedate progress with 25 from 48 balls.

Ed Barnard now beats Duckett with a rising ball which seams away from the off stump line. Hosts still trail by 399 runs.

  15. Subs 'not working' for Lancashirepublished at 14:29 BST 25 April

    Durham 77-4 v Lancs 370

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire commentator

For the second successive week, Lancashire's preferred injury replacement has been denied.

Tom Bailey for Ajeet Singh Dale was turned down in Bristol, today the request to replace Arav Shetty with Tom Hartley has also been rejected, on the grounds that Hartley is more experienced.

Batsman George Bell has been allowed to come into the side but this leaves Lancashire with no front line spinner in their team.

Left-arm spinner Hartley will instead continue to run on the drinks.

  16. Postpublished at 14:28 BST 25 April

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 433-8

These two right-arm seamers have now put on even more runs together than the great partnership between Ed Middleton and Miles Hammond.

The best stand of the match and both might now be thinking about a personal century, imagine if they two and Mason Crane all achieved the feat in the same session, what a period for tailenders!

  17. Postpublished at 14:27 BST 25 April

    Surrey 34-2 v Essex 409

Ollie Pope drives at a ball from Sam Cook.

He's not in control of the stroke and one hand comes off the bat, but he makes good enough contact to reach the cover boundary.

  18. 50 runs

    50 for Brett D'Oliveirapublished at 14:26 BST 25 April

    Worcestershire 243-3 v Kent 196

The home captain joins batting partner Adam Hose in reaching a half-century.

Brett D'Oliveira reaches his via three boundaries off a Joey Evison over as the batting partnership nears 150.

  19. Postpublished at 14:25 BST 25 April

    Durham 114-4 v Lancs 370

Ollie Robinson is catching up Emilio Gay (39) and now has 25 from 33 deliveries. Two fours in the over from George Balderson, both punched off the back foot through point-cover.

Just one wicket could tilt this sharply back in Lancs favour though with the hosts still trailing by 257 runs.

  20. First-class best score for Will Williamspublished at 14:22 BST 25 April

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 432-8

Career-best with the bat for Ed Middleton across yesterday and today, Miles Hammond, not far off his too, now Will Williams eclipses his 61 too.

He is 62* off 99 balls.

Matt Montgomery has been miserly, only nine runs off his six overs, impressive from the batting allrounder.

He is helping the Derbyshire over rate as the afternoon goes on and probably much more tidily than Shoaib Bashir did v these two.
