  3. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:10 BST 25 April

    Notts 154-3 v Warks 459

Big breakthrough just before the session end will put a spring in Warwickshire's step as they go off.

Ben Duckett looked well set for a hundred but could not resist putting the part time spin of Rob Yates in its place and holed out to Chris Woakes.

Other than that it was a good session for the hosts who moved along nicely from 36-2 with Duckett and Joe Clarke adding 116 for the third wicket.

  4. Postpublished at 16:09 BST 25 April

    Worcestershire 337-5 v Kent 196

Two overs until tea at New Road where Gareth Roderick and Ethan Brookes are enjoying the sunshine.

They have progressed to a 40 partnership.

  5. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:07 BST 25 April

    Yorkshire 96-1 v Sussex 502 - Yorks trail by 406 runs

Sussex restricted Yorkshire well early on and dismissed Adam Lyth to leave the hosts on 17-1

But ever since then it has been the Finlay Bean show as he moved on to 61, ably assisted by Sam Whiteman on 19.

The duo have been largely untroubled on a good batting surface and it looks like Sussex are going to have to work very hard for any wickets.

  6. Tea at the Ovalpublished at 16:06 BST 25 April

    Surrey 98-2 v Essex 409

Engrossing, rather than exciting, fare during the afternoon session at the Oval, but Dom Sibley drives Jamie Porter past mid-off for four in the final over before tea.

Surrey have added 81 for the loss of Jamie Smith for five, having begun the session on 17-1.

Sibley is 45 not out and Ollie Pope has 44 - together they have added 59 but tight bowling by Essex has demanded water-tight concentration from the third-wicket pair.

Noah Thain made a good 64 for Essex during the morning before Dan Lawrence brought their first innings to a rapid conclusion.

    Duckett c Woakes b Yates 62 (Notts 152-3 v Warks 459)

Ben Duckett. What have you done here?

The Notts man's eyes have lit up at a bit of slow bowling from Rob Yates and he has reached for and mistimed his drive badly.

The ball loops up to Chris Woakes who makes the simple catch at mid on.

With only an over or two to tea, Duckett has surely left a hundred out there today.

  8. Not outpublished at 16:03 BST 25 April

    Yorkshire 90-1 v Sussex 502

Soon after reaching 50 Finlay Bean is almost out!

Bowler James Coles is off celebrating as it initially appears that the catch was taken by Tom Price fielding at short leg.

However Price isn't sure if he took it cleanly and after some conferring between umpires Bean survives.

It may have just bounced before he could get his fingers under it.

    A close one definitely!

  9. Women's One-Day Cup updatepublished at 15:59 BST 25 April

She did it with the bat and now she's doing it with the ball - Jess Jonassen made 108 in Yorkshire's 241 all out in the Roses match and has now taken 3-20 to help reduce Lancashire to 104-4 after 25 overs in reply.

Somerset still in the driving seat against Surrey, who are 161-5 after 24 overs, chasing 338 for victory at Taunton - Alice Capsey recently fell to Charlie Dean for 59.

Orla Prendergast's unbeaten 46 is keeping The Blaze alive against Essex, but they are 148-7, 66 short of their target.

Hampshire beat Durham by six wickets earlier on after Lauren Bell took 5-22 in the north-east county's 118 all out.

50 for Finlay Beanpublished at 15:57 BST 25 April

    Yorkshire 87-1 v Sussex 502

A lovely stroke to bring up a half-century for Yorkshire opener Finlay Bean.

He kept wicket for 131 overs as Sussex racked up 502 and has come straight out to hit a half-century for the home side.

Yorkshire lost Adam Lyth early on but Bean and Sam Whiteman have looked a good partnership since they came together.

It's spin from both ends for Sussex at present as they look to get through the overs a little quicker after what has been a little stop start through the afternoon.

  11. Tea at Derbypublished at 15:55 BST 25 April

    Derbs 37-1 v Glos 498

Similarly to Mason Crane's sentiments, Will Williams will be mulling his call choice over for weeks, but at least he shortly got to put ball in hand and open the bowling just 15 minutes after his horror dismissal, the run out that was entirely his call.

It has been a quiet period of play since Gabe Bell took Harry Came's wicket for eight off the sixth ball of the innings.

Matt Montgomery goes to tea on 18* complete with a stunning cover drive for four three balls before the interval. Caleb Jewell 9*.

  12. Tea at Cardiffpublished at 15:55 BST 25 April

    Glam 440 v Leic 72-0

It will probably take more than a session to get over the end of that Glamorgan innings for anyone watching, let alone Mason Crane, who may spend years reflecting on what may be his best chance ever to get his maiden professional century, it definitely is so far in his career.

Since then Leicestershire have found run scoring particularly easy, racing past 50 in less than 10 overs of their reply.

Glamorgan were 91-4 at lunch yesterday, Leicestershire have nearly matched that score with no loss, showing how the wicket is flattening in the April sun.

Jake Weatherald 33* and Rishi Patel 37*.

  13. Postpublished at 15:53 BST 25 April

    Surrey 83-2 v Essex 409

Essex ringing the changes at the Oval in search of another breakthrough before tea. Leg-spinner Matt Critchley gets the call from skipper Tom Westley.

  14. Postpublished at 15:51 BST 25 April

    Durham 172-8 v Lancs 370

There is going to be a slight delay for treatment after a bit of extra bounce from Paul Coughlin sees Matthew Potts take a rising ball from on the index finger of the right hand.

Potts gets a bit of spray and TLC from the physio but is putting his glove back on and seems set to continue.

Raine run out (Hurst) 37 (Durham 168-8 v Lancs 370)

Confusion as Ben Raine attempts to clip it off his hip, sets off, hesitates then gets going again. Matty Hurst picks up the ball which has dropped to silly mid-off.

His bang on throw knocks over the stumps with a direct hit from 18 yards.

Potts continued the single and dived in to make his ground at the striker's end but Raine was well out when Hurst's shy landed.

  16. 50 runs

partnership for Surreypublished at 15:38 BST 25 April

    Surrey 79-2 v Essex 409

Dom Sibley tucks a ball from Noah Thain down to long leg for a single and he and Ollie Pope have a half-century stand from 120 balls.

Sibley is now 33 not out and Essex summon Jamie Porter for another burst before tea.

  17. Postpublished at 15:38 BST 25 April

    Yorkshire 61-1 v Sussex 502

After a slow start Yorkshire's run rate is creeping up as Finlay Bean gets into his stride.

He's now on 42 as we approach tea.

A lovely low cover drive off Beau Webster's bowling splits the field on the off side and Ben Duckett has his half century (53).

It has taken 84 balls and contained eight boundaries, none better than that one.

Notts are motoring with Duckett and Joe Clarke (42) now with the pair up to 98 for the third wicket.

    D'Oliveira c Muyeye b Cohen 90 (Worcestershire 301-5 v Kent 196)

It feels like we've had a lot of batters get out in the 90s in this round of matches and Pears captain Brett D'Oliveira joins the list.

After hitting Mikey Cohen for 4-2-4 the Kent man gets his wicket as D'Oliveira looks to block the delivery but edges to Tawanda Muyeye in the slips.

A kick of the dirt in frustration for the home captain as he heads back to the pavilion ten short of a ton.

If Mason Crane can get to 99 comfortably, then it must be a decent pitch to bat on, no disrespect to him.

Jake Weatherald got away with a couple nervy appeals earlier, but is now 23* off just 21 balls and Rishi Patel is 27* off 34 balls, 5.78 their scoring rate.

Not an April seam-friendly wicket this.

Andy Gorvin the first change bowler for the 10th over.
