Simon Harmer likes them on his legs and puts away a ball from Jordan Clark for four. He's been in decent batting nick so far this season.

    Lees lbw b Anderson 8 (Durham 18-2 v Lancs 370)

Jimmy Anderson gives too much width and Alex Lees makes no mistake crashing two consecutive fours to the rope.

But the Durham opener will make no further contribution after he is pinned in front of leg and sent on his way.

Lees is not too impressed with that decision and watching the replays will not improve his mood given it hit high and possibly angling down.

Whatever, it was not a howler by any stretch. And it is out.

Durham have not had a great start here.

    Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 312-8

Mo Abbas has his wicketkeeper up to the stumps as he bowls outside off to Will Williams who leaves extravagantly.

Waiting for the inducker that got Ed Middleton.

The caught behind appeals are turned down.

Another maiden for the former Pakistan international.

Mason Crane is in great form for Glamorgan with both the bat and ball! Definitely answers England's spin option in my opinion.

  5. 400 up for Sussexpublished at 11:46 BST 25 April

    Yorkshire v Sussex 400-7

There is the fourth batting point for Sussex.

John Simpson, appropriately, gets his side there.

It's hard to see them reaching a fifth batting point in the next three and a half overs but having been put in to bat they will be pleased with their haul.

    Glam 374-7 v Leic

Glamorgan do not seem that keen to push for 400 for a fourth batting bonus point.

30 needed off three overs, but Ajaz Patel is driven for four first ball of his 33rd over.

He does have a hundred to his name, the first in this game, more often referred to as a gallon when talking bowling centuries...

  7. 50 runs

for Noah Thainpublished at 11:43 BST 25 April

    Surrey v Essex 366-6

Noah Thain square drives Tom Lawes for four and then adds a single in the next over, bowled by Jordan Clark, as he reaches 50 for the fourth time in a first-class game.

This one has taken him 102 balls and he also has a 50 partnership with Simon Harmer, who is fortunate when he edges just short of Rory Burns at slip.

  8. Women's One-Day Cup updatepublished at 11:40 BST 25 April

Having been 13-2, Yorkshire have recovered to 80-2 in the 17th over in the Roses match at Old Trafford, with Jess Jonassen and Sterre Kalis both into the 30s.

Heather Knight is 34 not out in Somerset's 76-2 in the 18th over against Surrey at Taunton.

Durham are 77-3 in the 18th over against Hampshire and Grace Ballinger has two wickets for The Blaze against Essex, who are 69-3 in the 21st.

    McKinney b Anderson 3 (Durham 3-1 v Lancs 370)

Ooh... that is a beauty and Ben McKinney's off pole is on its way.

The Durham opener is looking to clip that off his legs but it leaves him and takes the off stump.

McKinney is left standing with a puzzled look as he tries to work out the angles of what went wrong there.

He needs only to look at the man with the ball for the answer. Still brilliant. Still doing his thing.

  10. First-class best for Mason Crane & 100 partnershippublished at 11:37 BST 25 April

    Glam 365-7 v Leic

58* from the former international leg-spinner.

Glamorgan going at a healthy rate of 3.48 runs an over chasing the 400, needing 35 runs off five more overs to get four out of five possible batting bonus points, which would be a decent effort remembering noone's notched an individual century yet for Glamorgan...

Could Mason Crane even change that...?

    Stay tuned!

    Surrey v Essex 354-6

By Gus Atkinson's standards, that's a very poor delivery, outside leg stump, and Noah Thain clips it away for four.

    Hudson-Prentice c Bean b Hill 36 (Yorkshire v Sussex 398-7)

Yorkshire have their first wicket of the morning!

George Hill has his third dismissal banging one into the pads of Fynn Hudson-Prentice who gets squared up by it and prods out the bat only to edge it behind for the catch.

Yorkshire grab the seventh Sussex wicket just before the visitors can take the fourth batting point.

    Kashif c Milnes b Dudgeon 20 (Worcestershire 108-3 v Kent 196)

A second wicket for Kent this morning as their fightback gathers pace.

Keith Dudgeon takes the wicket as Kashif Ali tries an expansive cover drive but gets under it a little, allowing Matt Milnes to take the catch.

Milnes has been involved in all three dismissals - two wickets and one catch.

Pears captain Brett D'Oliveira arrives and promptly cracks away a four as the hosts try to negotiate a tricky little period.

    Middleton b Aitchison 46 (Derbyshire v Gloucestershire 293-7)

Well, one tiny positive for Ed Middleton's fan club is that his watching Gosnells, Perth grade cricket teammates can go to sleep now and stop watching late into their Saturday night after their AFL matches.

He leaves one he should not have as it comes back in a long way to send his off peg cartwheeling back for Ben Aitchison's second of the match.

Middleton got Glos to that crucial second batting bonus point and his highest first-class score of 46 but he will be gutted to not make that at least 50.

  15. 350 up for Essexpublished at 11:32 BST 25 April

    Surrey v Essex 350-6

A new Gus Atkinson over, Simon Harmer pushes forward in defence and a single earns a third batting point for Essex. They have seven and a bit overs left to try and add 50 and pick up another one.

  16. Postpublished at 11:32 BST 25 April

    Durham 0-0 v Lancs 370

James Anderson sends one across the defences of Alex Lees as Durham get their reply going, the opener making no attempt to play with an extravagant leave.

  17. Postpublished at 11:30 BST 25 April

    Surrey v Essex 349-6

Jordan Clark overpitches and Noah Thain cover drives for his first boundary of the day. He is 41 not out.

"There's no margin for error here," said BBC Essex's Nick Gledhill.

  18. Postpublished at 11:29 BST 25 April

    Glam 360-7 v Leic

Mason Crane is unfurling all the shots now as Josh Davey continues to get hit around Cardiff.

This one is a long half volley walloped through the covers for four by the tailender.

Davey has gone for 76 off just 21 wicketless overs now.

How often is Mason Crane the aggressor over Timm van der Gugten?

Not often, but vdG is more than happy to cruise in his slip stream here.

    Notts v Warks 409-8

    Shot, sir.

A huge six as Josh Tongue bangs it in short and Ed Barnard sends it over the rope at deep midwicket.

That was a belter and he follows it up by lifting it over the cordon to third man.

Barnard looks in superb nick here.

150 for Barnardpublished at 11:26 BST 25 April

    Notts v Warks

Ed Barnard drops it down off his hip off Josh Tongue and strolls through for his 150.

That has taken five hours, 202 balls and has contained 20 fours and a six.

A captain's knock if ever there was one given he came in at 97-4.
