Another wicket for Adil Rashid with the googly, which is fast becoming his most potent weapon in T20 cricket. Leg Break: Avg 24 | Strike rate 19 Googly: Avg 13 | SR 11 (Since 2025)

It was the googly from Adil Rashid and the slog sweep from Fakhar Zaman, which he top edges and Liam Dawson takes a good catch. Rashid can just breathe having just been hit for six by Fakhar.

Adil Rashid has his man and England have stunted Pakistan's momentum just as it was starting to get going.

  4. wicket

    Zaman c Dawson b Rashid 25 (Pak 132-5)

    Adil Rashid gets his man!

It is a six and out for Fakhar Zaman, who tried to be a little too ambitious with a completely miscued shot.

Rashid clenches his fists, he has been looking and searching for that wicket.

  5. Pak 126-4published at 16 overs

Pakistan take 14 runs off Jamie Overton's latest over.

It was an expensive one for England, but it was also expensive for Pakistan with that all-important wicket.

They are finding the boundaries now, so can we expect fireworks in these last four overs?

It was absolutely plumb. It's not clipping anything! It's very out indeed.

Good bowling from Jamie Overton who resisted the urge to go short and got Sahibzada Farhan with a yorker.

  7. wicket

    Farhan lbw Overton 63 (122-4)

    Three reds!

A key wicket for England as Jamie Overton removes the dangerous Sahibzada Farhan after a decent knock of 63 off 45 from the Pakistan opener.

That looked plumb to me in real time. He's walked across his stumps but he's been persuaded to send it upstairs.

  9. Pakistan reviewpublished at 15.4 overs

Jamie Overton reckons he's got Sahibzada Farhan pinned lbw.

Pakistan's key batter reviews it, but doesn't look confident.

That Sahibzada Farhan six was really close to Tom Banton. He thought he was business but it kept going. People say the air is a little thinner here and it was just about two metres over the boundary. The charge is on.

    Pak 118-3published at 15.2 overs

Sahibzada Farhan bodies a huge six over the boundary rope at long on!

He might already have a half century under his belt, but he knows Pakistan are relying on his big-hitting here.

  12. Pak 112-3published at 15 overs

Sam Curran thinks he's run out Fakhar Zaman! But, unfortunately, he hasn't.

He bowls his iconic moon ball and throws down the stumps, but the Zaman gets his bat home just in time for a single.

Pakistan get just five runs off the over though.

Pakistan have built a platform and now they need to capitalise it. They can't go at a run a ball. They have to go hard with six overs left. They need 10 an over.

    Pak 107-3

Will Jacks sees out England's most expensive over of this innings so far. Sahibzada Farhan finishes it off with a single to bring up his half-century off 37 balls.

Pakistan will be more than happy with their haul of 16 off that over, but they have to capitalise on this momentum now.

A wonderful shot from Sahibzada Farhan and it's almost gone out of the ground. After no sixes from Pakistan we have two in three balls.

    Pak 104-3published at 13.3 overs

Sahibzada Farhan wants a bit of the fun now!

He whacks one high in the sky towards deep mid-wicket and it soars into the stands.

    Stunning!

That was flat and straight from Fakar Zaman. It's hit low on the bat and it's not gone high but it's gone very straight. Pakistan's first six of the innings.

  19. 6 runs

    Pak 97-3published at 13.1 overs

The first six of the innings, finally!

Fakhar Zaman slaps Will Jacks down the ground and over the ropes.

A free hit for Pakistan after a no-ball because Jofra Archer was not in the circle. There's a bit of sloppiness for England, even if it was a swing and miss that cost nothing.
