It's gone a little unnoticed but Sam Curran's recall to the team, and ability to bowl at the death, has allowed Harry Brook to front-load Jofra Archer at the start.

England have really struggled to contain their opposition off the last ball of the over in this tournament. 26% of their overs have featured a boundary off the last ball - the highest of any side in the Super 8s.

  3. Pak 154-8published at 19 overs

Shadab Khan manages to find a boundary off Jofra Archer's last ball, knocking a lovely four to deep cover point.

Sam Curran is back with the ball in hand to see out things for England. Let's see if he can get a wicket at the death...

Lovely catch from Sam Curran who is tracking over his shoulder and has to know where the boundary is. He jumps and knows he's got a couple of yards to play with.

Sam Curran takes a beautiful catch to dismiss Shaheen Afridi!

Jofra Archer claims his second wicket of the evening with a wonderful back of the length ball which the Afridi can only lift towards the direction of Curran's hands.

It is a very clean take on the deep square leg boundary.

This is England's sixth match of the tournament and I've still no idea if they're any good.

The way Liam Dawson mixes up his pace and lines is so good. England have not been out of this game at any stage but they are brought themselves back into it with quick wickets which has pegged Pakistan back.

Liam Dawson has varied his pace and his length perfectly. An outstanding spell. He's been the pick of England's bowlers with 3-24.

  10. Pak 147-7published at 18 overs

What a dramatic over! Shaheen Shah Afridi keeps out a full one from Liam Dawson to deny him a hat-trick and gets a single too.

Still, Dawson runs towards Jos Buttler for a double high-five after another clinical appearance with the ball in hand.

This looks very straight from Liam Dawson. I think this is out.

    No bat involved.

This could be a timely blow for England and would put Dawson on a hat-trick!

Liam Dawson has Mohammad Nawaz dead in front.

Usman Khan looking for a big hit but didn't quite have the power and it's an excellent catch by Jamie Overton.

Frustrating for Pakistan who got themselves in a good position but have lost consistent wickets. They had a platform but have not been able to capitalise.

    Khan c Overton b Dawson 8 (Pak 146-6)

Excellent bowling from Liam Dawson at the death!

He dispatches Usman Khan for just eight runs. It was a relatively ambitious shot from the man without a helmet, but it finds Jamie Overton at long-on.

Liam Dawson is shaking his head and he is absolutely furious. It was a simple catch for Harry Brook at extra cover. England have not been at their best in the field today - so many mistakes.
