It is all still in the balance.

In my mind, England would be marginal favourites now, just owing to the fact that Harry Brook is out there.

But there's still a bit of jeopardy left in this game as England are five wickets down.

Salman Mirza's second over and he starts with a couple of dots to Will Jacks.

However, the England all-rounder backs away to leg and slaps the seamer over extra cover for six.

    Pressure released.

Totally brainless from Curran. There's no need to go after Tariq. The rate is almost at a run a ball so just see him off.

    Chris, Derby

Pathetic Sam Curran, absolutely pathetic. Just rotate the strike!!!!

Could be a nail biter this one

Will Jacks the new batter for England, by the way.

England need 61 runs off 48 balls.

It was the lack of pace there from Usman Tariq, which left Sam Curran just trying to force the pace himself.

It left me thinking whether that would've gone for six if it was in India because Curran plays a lot of his cricket out there.

A little bit disappointing from him, if we're going to be honest.

    Curran c Nawaz b Tariq 16 (Eng 103-5)

Sam Curran has seen more than most of Usman Tariq having played in the ILT20 with him, though, but gives his wicket away to the Pakistan spinner.

Curran attempts to pull Tariq square and he's caught in the deep.

Still confident Jonney in Melbourne (16:17)?

Sam Curran and Harry Brook content to pick off singles off Usman Tariq, who they will not have faced a lot of it has to be said.

We are ahead of the rate, far deeper batting with some excellent 'finishers' to come, and two of our most in form batsman at the crease. What's the worry?!

Oh Harry Brooks' ball is coming towards us! Nearly... it bounces just beneath us, off the wall and back into the field of play.

That's a monster shot. I thought it was coming straight through this glass window in front of us.

The whole building shook as it hit the wall.

  12. Eng 99-4published at 11 overs

He might not need that long. Harry Brook pulls him wide off long-on for a one-bounce four.

If Harry Brook is in there batting for another seven overs, England win this game.

    I'm saying it now.

  14. 6 runs

    Eng 95-4published at 10.5 overs

Harry Brook looks in good fettle here.

He gets down low and rather delicately sweeps Shadab Khan for four.

Later in the over Brook steps down the pitch and dismissively deposits the Pakistan spinner into the stands back over his head.

    That was a 96-metre six.

It's almost like in a World Cup where spinners are such a big part, a lad called Joe Root - who would likely score a run per ball 50 every game - might be useful.

Surely the answer to England's batting woes is to reverse the batting order.

Harry Brook barely celebrated that 50, which is obviously as a result of the match situation. He knows he has to be there at the end.

  20. Eng 80-4published at 9.4 overs

Usman Khan bellows "catch, catch, catch!" from the behind the stumps after Harry Brook top edges a chip towards square leg off Saim Ayub but the ball plugs safe.

Fast hands from Brook next ball and he helps a delivery on his legs from Ayub round the corner for four.
