Dropped catch - Ire 49-3published at 7.5 overs

Oh that should have been curtains for Harry Tector! It's a tough caught and bowled chance - it was powerfully struck - but Prince Yadav will be a little disappointed after getting both hands to it.

I've been impressed with Yadav. His bowling motion is really good and strong and that's a great ball to get Lorcan Tucker.

A nice easy catch behind for Ishan Kishan and a first international wicket for Yadav.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.3 overs

    Tucker c Kishan b P Yadav 15 (Ire 48-3)

A little tickle through to Ishan Kishan brings Lorcan Tucker's innings to an end. Prince Yadav has his first T20I wicket.

Yadav showed good aggression with his previous delivery, firing down a short ball which Tucker attempted to pull with a bat high above his head.

He was fortunate to avoid an edge but has no such luck on this occasion, with Yadav returning to a good length.

  4. Ire 48-2published at 7 overs

Sloppy from India. An overthrow allows Lorcan Tucker to come back for a second run off the third delivery.

But Shivam Dube's opening over only costs four as Ireland alternate between running and dots.

  5. Ire 44-2published at 6 overs

    H Tector 10 (12), Tucker 12 (11)

It's a tidy enough start for Prince Yadav, conceding six runs, including a boundary to Lorcan Tucker.

Both sides will be pretty content with the powerplay. Runs on the board for Ireland, a couple of wickets for India.

  6. Ire 42-2published at 5.4 overs

Oh, that could've been disastrous for Ireland!

Lorcan Tucker ends up a couple of paces down the track after playing the ball back to Prince Yadav. The bowler gets a big left hand to the ball, takes aim at the stumps... and misses.

India's fielders are aghast. A let off for Ireland's skipper.

There will certainly be some nerves for Prince Yadav on debut. A very talented bowler but playing for your country is different.

  8. Ire 38-2published at 5.1 overs

Right-arm pacer Prince Yadav enters the attack on his T20I debut. He starts with a dot ball as Lorcan Tucker plays along the ground into the leg-side.

Can he have the same impact as Ireland's debutants? Matt Hollard and Jai Moondra shared five wickets on Friday.

There's some umbrellas going up in the stands as some drizzle hits Stormont again.

Play is continuing but covers are being prepared on the far side of the ground in case it gets any heavier.

I hope this isn't the story of today.

  10. Ire 38-2published at 5 overs

Lovely from Harry Tector, pouncing on a bit of width from Arshdeep Singh and cutting for four.

Tector and Lorcan Tucker exchange a couple of singles.

Whisper it quietly. There's a few raindrops in the air...

  11. Ire 32-2published at 4 overs

Ireland captain Lorcan Tucker pulls into the leg-side and the ball beats Arshdeep Singh to the rope.

But it's an otherwise tight over from Harshit Rana. He has 1-9 from his opening two overs.

  12. Ire 26-2published at 3 overs

Harry Tector gets of the mark with a streaky four, inside-edging over the top of his stumps, but he's beaten a couple of times by Arshdeep Singh.

India's tails are up. They've removed both of Ireland's openers inside three overs.

You have to stand still and lean into that but Arshdeep Singh didn't give Ross Adair any chance to extend his arms.

Great bowling and clearly some learnings from his first over by Singh.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.2 overs

    Adair c Tilak b Arshdeep 16 (Ire 21-2)

Huge celebration from Arshdeep Singh! He is delighted!

Ross Adair tries to go big but picks out Tilak Varma at extra cover.

  15. Ire 21-1published at 2.1 overs

Another boundary against Arshdeep Singh but the bowler is largely blameless on this occasion.

Ross Adair sends one high into the sky behind the stumps and there's a bit of to me, too you between wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan and Harshit Rana.

In the end, it's Rana who goes for it, gets in a tangle of limbs, and has to watch the ball trickle away for four.

  16. Ire 17-1published at 2 overs

Harshit Rana will be happy with that over. Four runs and a wicket to start.

India are sticking with Arshdeep Singh at the other end.

A really soft dismissal there. A bit of a nothing shot from Tim Tector.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.5 overs

    T Tector c Sharma b Rana 5 (Ire 17-1)

That, however, was not good placement. Tim Tector pulls straight to Abhishek Sharma at mid-wicket to depart for five.

Good response from Harshit Rana. It's an early introduction for Harry Tector on his 100th cap.

  19. Ire 17-0published at 1.4 overs

Ooooh that was a beauty from Harshit Rana, getting a bit of movement and cutting Tim Tector in half.

Tector swings and misses at the next one but punishes a low full toss through the covers for four. Good placement.

What a start for Ross Adair getting a maximum with his first scoring shot. He used his bottom hand well and the dimensions of this ground will certainly help.
