  1. Postpublished at 14:40 BST 9 May

    Notts 415 v Surrey 54-1

Dom Sibley moves into double figures as he brings the Surrey total to 50, guiding Olly Stone to the square leg boundary and following it up with another four next ball.

Stone felt he should have had his former Warwickshire team-mate lbw with the next one as he shuffled across the stumps. However, the umpire disagreed...

  2. Missed stumpingpublished at 14:39 BST 9 May

    Sussex 182-2 v Leics 328

Not often you see Ben Cox muck up behind the stumps but he has missed a chance here against Jack Leaning on 44.

Ajaz Patel sends it through the defences as Leaning danced a couple of steps down the wicket but Cox fails to gather the ball cleanly.

His swipe at the stumps is swift but done with the ball still on the turf.

  3. 50 runs

50 partnership for Kellaway and Cookepublished at 14:39 BST 9 May

    Glamorgan 143-5 v Somerset 354

A healthy round of applause from the home crowd as Ben Kellaway and Chris Cooke get their partnership to a half century in around eight overs in Cardiff.

Glamorgan could do with these two being in for a fair bit longer.

  4. Postpublished at 14:36 BST 9 May

    Essex 169-8 v Hants 235

Shane Snater seemingly knows just one way to bat and it is with the aggression turned up to 10.

He has carved Liam Dawson through point for a well-struck/timed four and now he has launched the Hants spinner over deep midwicket/long on for a maximum.

If Snater stays in for 10 overs they could knock off this 65 runs deficit.

  5. Postpublished at 14:35 BST 9 May

    Warwickshire 147 & 70-0 v Yorkshire 152

It's safe to say that the second Warwickshire innings has started better than the first.

Rob Yates and Alex Davies made 11 between them yesterday and the Bears were five wickets down by the time they got to 71 runs.

Fast forward 24 hours and Yates has 41 and Davies 27 from the opening 18 overs.

The hosts lead by 65 runs and will be aiming to build a big lead with plenty of time in this contest still to go.

  6. Postpublished at 14:35 BST 9 May

    Glamorgan 137-5 v Somerset 354

A pivotal partnership you feel developing at Sophia Gardens.

Ben Kellaway and Chris Cooke have put on 43 since Colin Ingram was dismissed some seven overs ago.

Kellaway drives one down the ground to edge onto 39. Partner Cooke meanwhile has come out firing with 23 off 26 balls so far, as Glamorgan look to hold on in the middle of the order.

  7. WORCESTERSHIRE ALL OUTpublished at 14:28 BST 9 May

    Worcs 308 v Durham

Not one of our featured games today, but remember that final-wicket partnership we were updating you on earlier from New Road?

Well, it's just come to an end. A mighty fine effort from Jack Home (63 not out) and Harry Darley (12), to push Worcestershire beyond the 300-mark with a stand of 57.

Durham and Ben Stokes will be out to bat and chase down 308 shortly.

WICKETpublished at 14:24 BST 9 May

    Mulder c Brown b Dawson 54 (Essex 157-8 v Hants 235)

Wiaan Mulder has batted well for his half century but he will not be too happy with that, feathering a chance down leg which Ben Brown does brilliantly to grab behind the stumps.

Liam Dawson will bowl better balls and go for runs but this wicket tilts the game Hants way with Essex still trailing by 78 runs.

  9. Old Trafford restart at 14:40 BSTpublished at 14:22 BST 9 May

    Lancs 201 v Middlesex 116-5

Good news from Manchester, where the rain has stopped and a mopping-up operation should allow play to resume in just under 20 minutes' time.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:19 BST 9 May

    Burns c&b Stone 25 (Notts 415 v Surrey 39-1)

Olly Stone makes the breakthrough for Nottinghamshire!

Rory Burns goes to pull a short one from outside off stump and skies it completely as the bowlers saunters across to pocket a straightforward catch.

Burns raises his eyes to the heavens in frustration as he trudges off, to be replaced by Jamie Smith.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:18 BST 9 May

    Pepper c Brown b Currie 10 (Essex 157-7 v Hants 235)

Thickish edge and Ben Brown takes the catch in front of first slip.

Scott Currie finds a nice line just outside off stump and Michael Pepper sort of fends at it, edging to Ben Brown who takes the catch.

The grab does not completely convincing but it was good enough to hang on.

  12. 100 runs

100 for Daniel Hughespublished at 14:10 BST 9 May

    Sussex 154-2 v Leics 328

Daniel Hughes celebrates a century at HoveImage source, Shutterstock

    Stand and deliver....

Sussex opener Daniel Hughes barely moves in his crease but bullets the ball through cover to reach his century.

That was a lovely shot and brings up the 12th hundred of his first class career and the first of his season. It has taken 124 balls.

Hughes posted an 83 against Warwickshire in the second round of matches but there could be a big score waiting for him.

  13. Postpublished at 14:08 BST 9 May

    Notts 415 v Surrey 32-0

Olly Stone is into the Nottinghamshire attack as early as the seventh over, replacing Josh Tongue and it's a good start from the tall seamer.

His opening over is spoilt only by the final ball of the six, which is pitched on Dom Sibley's pads and clipped to the rope.

Sibley has five, with Rory Burns on 23.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:03 BST 9 May

    Dickson b Pretorius 6 (Glamorgan 93-5 v Somerset 354)

Cleaned bowled and the hosts are in trouble!

Sean Dickson goes for a big off drive but it's his off stump that the ball hits first and not the Glamorgan man's bat.

Migael Pretorius has another victim and this is all looking very rosy for Somerset as it stands.

Chris Cooke joins Ben Kellaway in the middle with the hosts five down and yet to reach three figures.

  15. Postpublished at 13:57 BST 9 May

    Warwickshire 147 & 27-0 v Yorkshire 152

Alex Davies helps himself to 11 runs from that Ben Cliff over.

Alongside Rob Yates, they have added 20 since the lunch break as Yorkshire look to make the breakthrough.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Wiaan Mulderpublished at 13:57 BST 9 May

    Essex 150-6 v Hants 235

Wiaan Mulder has taken 76 balls to reach his fifty but a nudged single off Kyle Abbott does the trick.

It has been a brisk and assured knock from the 28-year-old who has struck six fours.

  17. Postpublished at 13:55 BST 9 May

    Notts 415 v Surrey 19-0

    Josh TongueImage source, Shutterstock

Good opening spell by Fergus O'Neill, who beats Dom Sibley's outside edge on a couple of occasions and is giving very little away.

Josh Tongue's been a tad more expensive so far, with Rory Burns on-driving a half-volley for four and then repeating the stroke later in the over to move up to 16.

  18. Postpublished at 13:51 BST 9 May

    Sussex 136-2 v Leics 328

Daniel Hughes looks in the mood after lunch and moves to 86 with a couple of crunching fours off Ian Holland through point and cover.

  19. Postpublished at 13:46 BST 9 May

A good recovery for Sussex through the experienced Jack Leaning and Daniel Hughes, that after Sussex had slumped to 18-2 against a very good opening spell from Tom Helm

Helm who is on a two- match loan from Middlesex accounted for both Tom Clark and Daniel Ibrahim, both well caught at first slip by Rishi Patel, and he posed plenty of early problems' for both Leaning and Hughes.

However Hughes in particular has punished any loose bowling and has moved steadily through the gears, and on a beautiful sunny day and a fast outfield he will have his eyes on his fist hundred of the season

  20. Postpublished at 13:46 BST 9 May

    Worcestershire 303-9 v Durham

    Stephan Shemilt
BBC Sport cricket correspondent at New Road

Lovely stuff from Jack Home and Harry Darley, a combined age of 41 years and two previous first-class matches between them - both belonging to Home.

They've put on a half-century stand for the last wicket and taken Worcestershire past the 300 mark.

Ben Stokes has bowled only six overs this morning. It's a tricky balance for Durham when they have to manage the workload of their opening bowler.
