  1. Lunch in Worcesterpublished at 13:42 BST 9 May

    Worcestershire 302-9 v Durham

And the tailenders even have time for a 50 partnership before the break! A great effort from Harry Darley (7) and Jack Home (62), and the hosts will come out still with bat in hand in around 40 minutes time.

  2. Postpublished at 13:41 BST 9 May

    Notts 415 v Surrey 5-0

Rory Burns gets the Surrey innings up and running with a single off Fergus O'Neill and then survives a spirited leg before shout by Josh Tongue in the next over.

Dom Sibley is also off the mark, nudging a single on the off side.

  3. 300 runs

300 for Worcestershirepublished at 13:40 BST 9 May

Some effort from tailenders Harry Darley and Jack Home for the hosts, who have helped nudge their side to an unlikely extra batting point.

Darley has five runs off 95 balls, and Home has amassed 62 from 104 deliveries.

  5. Postpublished at 13:31 BST 9 May

    Notts 415 v Surrey 0-0

A little later than they might have expected, Rory Burns and Dom Sibley are padded up and heading for the middle to begin Surrey's response to the home side's total of 415.

Fergus O'Neill, Olly Stone and Josh Tongue have all shone with the bat already for Nottinghamshire - now time to see whether they can make inroads with ball in hand.

  6. Division Two updatepublished at 13:12 BST 9 May

    #bbccricket

Worcestershire are holding firm in their attempts to stave off being bowled out, and have moved on to 279-9 against Ben Stokes' Durham.

In Derby, the home county are surging on, as Martin Anderson and Brooke Guest approach a century partnership against Northants, bringing Derbyshire to 447-5.

A difficult start to the day in the middle for Kent, who have lost three wickets already as they chase Gloucestershire's total of 325. Ben Dawkins (45) and Tawanda Muyeye (31) are putting up some stern defence, though, as the teams head in for a break.

Random thought, but why don’t we use drones to hover over the pitch with protective covers to stop rain stopping play.

  8. Somerset well on toppublished at 13:09 BST 9 May

    Glamorgan 66-4 v Somerset 354

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A good morning for Somerset. They secured a third batting point and then made significant inroads into the Glamorgan batting on a pitch which, crucially, is still offering plenty of assistance to the quicker bowlers despite the influence of the heavy roller.

Like James Rew before him, Asa Tribe missed the chance to impress the England selectors with his credentials as an opener, caught in the slips in just the second over, and when Migael Pretorius removed Kiran Carlson and Colin Ingram with successive deliveries, Somerset were well on top.

    • Nottingham: Notts 415 v Surrey
    • Hove: Sussex 125-2 v Leics 328
    • Edgbaston: Warwickshire 147 & 7-0 v Yorkshire 152

    Division Two:

    • Derby: Derbyshire 447-5 v Northants
    • Bristol: Gloucestershire 325 v Kent 99-3
    • Manchester: Lancashire 201 v Middlesex 116-5
    • Worcester: Worcs 277-9 v Durham
  10. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:07 BST 9 May

    Sussex 125-2 v Leics 328

A couple of early breakthroughs for the Foxes but Dan Hughes and Jack Leaning have very much steadied the ship adding 107 for the third wicket.

Hughes has gone particularly well and walks off unbeaten on 77 with Leaning lending support with 28 runs.

  11. Lunch at Sophia Gardenspublished at 13:05 BST 9 May

    Glamorgan 66-4 v Somerset 354

A very good morning indeed for Somerset, who put on 17 more runs for the final wicket before being dismissed for 354.

They've since taken four wickets themselves and restricted the hosts to just 66 runs, with Migael Pretorius removing Kiran Carlson and Colin Ingram in consecutive deliveries a short time ago.

Zain ul Hassan and Asa Tribe have also fallen, and last week's 318-run stand between the ul Hassan and Carlson feels like a distant memory already.

    Advantage Somerset at the break.

  12. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:04 BST 9 May

    Warwickshire 147 & 7-0 v Yorkshire 152

    Well, what a morning.

Yorkshire started the session on 110-4 and Harry Brook and Jonny Bairstow were looking well set to put them in a good position but it all changed abruptly when they got out.

Yorkshire collapsed from there, losing their last six wickets for 15 runs and only establishing a lead of five.

Warwickshire have already wiped out that small deficit and lead by two runs after five overs of their second innings.

  13. Lunch at Chelmsfordpublished at 13:04 BST 9 May

    Essex 142-6 v Hants 235

Hampshire's morning with four wickets falling and just 91 runs added.

Wickets went twice to James Fuller with one apiece going to Scott Currie and Kyle Abbott.

Essex still trail by 93 runs with four wickets still standing but Wiaan Mulder has looked good for a brisk 46.

  14. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 12:55 BST 9 May

    Stone c Smith b Worral 38 (Notts 415 v Surrey)

Olly Stone's fun finally comes to an end as he swings outside off stump at Dan Worrall and is caught behind... and that, to Surrey's relief, will be lunch.

Josh Tongue finishes unbeaten on 37, having helped Stone to add what may prove a very valuable 74 for the final wicket.

Worrall's final bowling figures are 6-73, with his first five wickets all coming yesterday.

Another quality 50 from Sam Hain yesterday, in what is clearly tough batting conditions. He has been remarkably consistent over the past few years and able to adapt his game to any conditions and any bowling attack. How long can he continue to be ignored by the England selectors?

    Kevin, Lancashire

Is Olly Stone Test bowling fit? Better bowler than most of the others drafted in recently if so.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:51 BST 9 May

    Ingram lbw b Pretorius 0 (Glamorgan 59-4 v Somerset 354)

    Migael Pretorius on a hat-trick!

Two down in as many balls as Colin Ingram gets caught all ends up and he's straight back to the pavilion.

Sean Dickson survives the hat-trick ball, but this game has turned very sharply in Somerset's favour in the past six balls.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:49 BST 9 May

    Carlson c Abell b Pretorius 21 (Glamorgan 59-3 v Somerset 354)

    All going wrong for Glamorgan!

A brief counter attacking knock from captain Kiran Carlson comes to an end as Migael Pretorius strikes in his third over.

Carlson edges behind and Tom Abell takes the catch.

  18. Lunch at Old Traffordpublished at 12:47 BST 9 May

    Lancs 201 v Middlesex 116-5

The covers are on, with rain following the decision to go off for bad light and that means an early lunch.

Middlesex added 78 runs and lost three wickets prior to the delay, so they trail Lancashire by 85.

  20. 'A contender for catch of the season'published at 12:43 BST 9 May

    Warwickshire 147 v Yorkshire 152

    Melinda Farrell

Surely that’s a contender for catch of the season!

The ball was behind him and coming at pace as well. The dive, the reach behind, the reflexes, the agility and the skill to take that ball.

That was absolutely brilliant from Rob Yates. Warwickshire have bowled so well.
