  1. HAMPSHIRE BEAT YORKSHIRE BY 214 RUNSpublished at 14:42 BST 13 April
    Breaking

    Hampshire (251 & 351-5 dec) beat Yorkshire (177 & 211) by 214 runs

Dom Bess (49) and George Hill (52) showed great determination in the face of hostile bowling from Sonny Baker and co to keep Hampshire at bay into this afternoon's session, but Yorkshire never deserved more than the losing bonus points in this one after a poor first couple of days.

Yorkshire simply not scoring enough runs in this match, their first innings being particularly dire.

Ben Coad bowled for seven off 15 balls by Liam Dawson for the England spinner to finish with 2-37 off 10.1 overs and wrap up the victory.

Logan van Beek marooned 12* off 30 balls.

Kyle Abbott the man-of-the-match with his 10 wickets in the game. Four wickets in the first, then 6-21 in the second innings for the South Africa seamer.

    Notts v Glamorgan 236-8 - target 478

Mason Crane plays a lovely cover drive off Josh Tongue and Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed frantically chases it out towards the rope.

Hameed slips and slides and ends up flying over the boundary with ball in hand.

    Four runs.

    Reece lbw b Stanley 10 (Derbys 91-7 – Target 138)

Mitch Stanley is back on to Luis Reece but has over-pitched his first ball and the Derbys batter has hammered it back past his right hand for four.

He goes over the wicket to the left hander next ball and pings him on the pads. Massive shout from everyone. OUT!

That has pitched in line and was hitting and Derbys are seven down.

  4. 200 runs

200 up for Yorkshirepublished at 14:37 BST 13 April

    Yorks 205-9 – Target 426

Meaningless really, but I guess people look at the first digit of a three-digit number more than the other two.

A psychological boost as Ben Coad shows some more fight alongside Logan van Beek, hitting a lovely cover drive off Sonny Baker for four.

    Notts v Glamorgan 230-8 - target 478

Andy Gorvin bats out a maiden over from Liam Patterson-White.

    Cat and mouse stuff here.

  6. Postpublished at 14:36 BST 13 April

    Notts v Glamorgan 230-8 - target 478

Notts are trying to keep Glamorgan guessing as left-arm spinner Liam Patterson-White changes his angles to come over the wicket to right-hander Andy Gorvin.

Four fielders around the bat - silly point, short leg, slip and leg slip.

  7. Postpublished at 14:35 BST 13 April

    Derbys 86-6 – Target 138

Mitch Stanley has to pin Zak Chappell at the non striker's to give Jimmy Anderson a crack at the new batsman instead of Luis Reece.

But Matty Hurst has only gone and let the final delivery burst through under his gloves for a bye to allow the pair exchange ends.

That is a bit of a blunder from the normally reliable Hurst.

So Anderson to Reece rather than Chappell.

    Notts v Glamorgan 230-8 - target 478

An interesting slower ball from Josh Tongue to end his 15th over, going for the off-break style delivery but it's a bit short and easy to prod away for Mason Crane.

Four off the over for Glamorgan.

New ball due in four overs. Notts will almost certainly take it immediately.

England managing director Rob Key is in attendance at The Oval today.

He'll be watching Jamie Smith with interest as the wicketkeeper-batter has started the 2026 summer in supreme form.

Key can look on as Smith sends Ajaz Patel over the fence for a maximum and he now has 71 to his name.

    Derbys 83-6 – Target 138

Talk about swings and roundabouts, this game has steadfastly refused to reveal its final destination for the last two days.

With four wickets still remaining overnight Lancs looked capable of putting a sizeable target on the board only to lose 4-13 this morning.

    Advantage Derbys.

Then Harry Came and Martin Andersson get them past halfway for three wickets just after lunch only for Tom Bailey to get the Derbys captain.

    Still advantage Derbys.

But that was before Jimmy Anderson's double wicket maiden to reduce the visitors to six down. Where, then, is your money now?

Still 55 runs needed for the win and four wickets intact.

    Notts v Glamorgan 226-8 - target 478

Big shout for lbw from Liam Patterson-White and the Notts field as it strikes Andy Gorvin's front pad but it looked to be sliding down.

Two short legs and a first slip in place for Andy Gorvin from left-handed off-spinner Liam Patterson White.

    Notts are going for it.

Josh Tongue just trying to soften up number 10 bat Andy Gorvin a bit with some chin music.

Gorvin gets out the way each time.

Tongue then comes around the wicket to his fellow right hander but Gorvin manages to flick away into the legside and comes through for a single.

    Surrey 520 & 123-2 v Leics 691

A break of less than 30 minutes at The Oval.

Jamie Smith and Ollie Pope are back out in the middle with a scheduled 56.3 overs of this match to go.

    Bess c Baker b Dawson 49 (Yorks 197-9 – Target 426)

    One shy of a 50!

And having been peppered by his fellow Devonian Sonny Baker's pace, he now gets out to the much slower spinner as he lobs one recent England bowler straight to another, Baker at mid off.

A little turn for Liam Dawson, Bess did not get to the pitch, in an awkward position in the end as he almost fell over.

Ben Coad is the last barrier between Hampshire and a win today.

    Dal lbw b Anderson 0 (Derbys 77-6 – Target 138)

A double wicket maiden for the Lancs skipper and his side are right back in this now.

Anuj Dal lasts just three balls as Jimmy Anderson swings one sharply back in at the pads.

Brilliant intervention from the veteran who has swung this back in favour of Lancs.

Suddenly 138 looks a long way away.

    Big breakthrough!

Glamorgan have just been frustrating Notts since lunch and Timm van der Gugten in particular has been batting well.

But now he's gone as he plays down the wrong line to Liam Patterson-White and gets trapped in front.

Looked pretty out to be honest and now the defending champions need just two more wickets for victory.

Two wins from two for Robinson as Sussex Championship skipper

Sussex captain Ollie Robinson says it was an amazing win for his side as they successfully chased 328 to complete a five-wicket victory over Warwickshire at Hove this morning.

After giving up a 63-run lead at halfway, they bounced back before an unbroken stand of 144 between Jack Leaning (120) and Tom Price (70) saw them home to make it two wins out of two with Robinson at the helm.

"It is an amazing win," said the skipper.

"We were behind the eight-ball a bit after the first innings so to bounce back and chase that target was an unbelievable effort.

"The pitch got a bit easier to bat on which helped us a bit, but it was still a great effort to get over the line when the pressure was high like it was today.

"Jack Leaning and Tom Price batted brilliantly but everyone has made a contribution to these first two wins.

"There have been two great team performances but our mentality is not going to change - we try to win every game and you have seen that shine through, especially in the last two days."

    Andersson c Jones b Anderson 15 (Derbys 77-5 – Target 138)

So what have you got Jimmy Anderson? Plenty as it happens as Derbys lose a fifth.

The Lancs skipper is on and strikes third ball to remove the dangerous Martin Andersson.

The Derbys batsman was flashing at one which rises outside off stump and goes high to Michael Jones at first slip.

    Derbys still need 61 runs.

  20. Postpublished at 14:15 BST 13 April

    Yorks 195-8 – Target 426

The Devon derby continues between Sonny Baker and Dom Bess.

The latter creaming his fellow former Somerset man for four through the covers having also taken a two first ball.

A single allows Logan van Beek to get off the mark with a pull for four.

    11 off Baker's 12th over.
