    Notts v Glamorgan 280-9 - target 478

We won't be taking tea now with just one wicket remaining for Glamorgan.

From going along well and digging in, the Welsh side are on the brink.

Number 11 Ryan Hadley is in. Can he replicate the heroics of Andy Gorvin?

Great figures for Liam Patterson-White after that wicket maiden.

He's bowled 11 overs, six maidens and has 2-9.

  3. Tea at the Ovalpublished at 15:41 BST 13 April

    Surrey 520 & 227-4 v Leics 691 - Surrey lead by 56 runs

Tea is being taken five balls early at the Oval due to lightning, rain & bad light!

The Oval being far too flat a pitch, easy to score runs on, little chance for the bowler and all the side wickets meaning a fast run off so square boundaries are even easier to take too, does not make for good contests.

This is likely to be another draw ending in hands being shaken come 50 minutes into the evening session.

The only slightly pleasing thing is tea being taken at 3.40pm with 32 overs remaining in the day, so at least the over-rate has still been decent even with the high run-scoring.

Ben Foakes 16* and Ollie Pope 63* have surely done enough to seal the draw and the weather may not even allow 50 minutes of seemingly futile play this evening as London skies grey even further.

    Gorvin b Patterson-White 20 (Notts v Glamorgan 280-9 - target 478)

    It almost feels cruel...

Andy Gorvin has absolutely batted his heart out and this is such an unlucky way to go.

Liam Patterson-White spins it away from Gorvin and it's a long way outside off but Gorvin just hangs a bat at it and it comes off the bottom edge and down onto the stumps.

What a time to drag on. The number 10 survived 94 balls and was out there for 80 minutes. Great effort but it looks like Notts are on the verge of victory now.

  5. Postpublished at 15:38 BST 13 April

    Notts v Glamorgan 279-8 - target 478

Glamorgan keep chipping away at these overs... another one down.

Haseeb Hameed has turned back to spinner Liam Patterson-White. The new ball has done... not a lot.

  6. Postpublished at 15:37 BST 13 April

    Surrey 520 & 224-4 v Leics 691 - Surrey trail by 64 runs

One of the worse balls bowled this season so far.

Rishi Patel's first ball of the season is a wide full toss that Ollie Pope smokes for four.

Next ball is almost worse, legside but Pope makes a mess of it, that might well be clipped up on socials..

Third ball he finds his range.

Yes it is that time of the match on a flat one when the part-timers get a bowl with the draw now inevitable.

Lancashire beat Derbyshire by 29 runs

Ben Coughlin celebrates a wicket for Lancs against DerbysImage source, Shutterstock

Some debut for Coughlin for Lancs. 64 runs batting at number 8 and 6-92 with the ball. Crucial contributions.

    David, Cardiff

What a crazy hour of cricket and a roller coaster of a 4 days, but what a result for Lancs! They've just needed to put an all round performance together to complete the deal. Last week was a disappointment but this has made up for it.

    Kate, Chorley

Brilliant win for Lancs but can’t underestimate what a massive let off that is. Bowing attack is mega but that batting lineup always has a collapse in it. We need Jennings back urgently.

    Notts v Glamorgan 276-8 - target 478

What an effort this has been from Mason Crane and Andy Gorvin.

It flicks off Crane's thigh pad and down to fine leg for four leg byes.

And that brings up the 50 partnership. They've put on 52 from 114 balls for the ninth wicket. Digging deep.

    Surrey 520 & 218-4 v Leics 691 - Surrey trail by 64 runs

Change of bowling just before tea.

    Tom Scriven to replace Patel.

Ben Foakes turns off his toes for one down to long leg as the sky darkens over the Oval.

Ollie Pope then scores a boundary to go to 55*.

Might be off for rain before tea at this rate though.

Two more overs after this one are due, but light not good either.

Required run rate has now got above 5, so I reckon it’s time for Glamorgan to play for the draw.

    Ha, good shout, Max.

    This is a picture.

Brett Hutton has got five slips in place as he comes into bowl to Mason Crane.

Guessing he's going to try and bowl just outside off then.

  12. Postpublished at 15:29 BST 13 April

    Notts v Glamorgan 271-8 - target 478

Tea is within sight for Glamorgan. That will be their next objective. Best not to think about the 40 overs they still need to bat to survive with just two wickets still in hand.

  13. Postpublished at 15:28 BST 13 April

    Notts v Glamorgan 271-8 - target 478

Glamorgan keep the scoreboard ticking as Andy Gorvin hooks Lyndon James away through square leg and the fielder in the deep completely loses sight of it, allowing it to run away for four.

The number 10 is onto 19 not out.

    Surrey 520 & 207-4 v Leics 691

Ollie Pope batting at The Oval for SurreyImage source, Shutterstock

A game of Championship cricket at The Oval and Ollie Pope in the runs.

A feature of an English summer.

He is gifted a full toss by Ajaz Patel for the single he needs to reach a 50 off 74 balls with seven fours to go alongside his 103 in the first innings.

Does it help his chances of a possible England recall as we all know that Pope is a run-machine on home turf?

  15. Postpublished at 15:26 BST 13 April

    Notts v Glamorgan 267-8 - target 478

Nine overs since Notts took the new ball have passed and it hasn't really had the desired impact.

The partnership between Mason Crane and Andy Gorvin is up to 43 and they continue to dig deep.

Lyndon James is going to come on for another bowl for Notts.

  16. Postpublished at 15:24 BST 13 April

Mason Crane is onto 30 for Glamorgan and is now the second top-scorer in the innings after Asa Tribe, who made 85.

  17. Postpublished at 15:20 BST 13 April

It's now been an hour since Notts last took a wicket when Timm van der Gugten was trapped lbw by Liam Patterson-White.

  18. 200 runs

200 up for Surreypublished at 15:19 BST 13 April

    Surrey 520 & 200-4 v Leics 691

Ben Foakes is now at the crease with Ollie Pope to try to dampen that mini Leicestershire charge.

They have added 23 together and Surrey now lead by 29.

Still 40 overs to go, so a bit more batting required yet to sort things out.

  19. Postpublished at 15:17 BST 13 April

    Notts v Glamorgan 261-8 - target 478

Not to put the kiss of death on it for Glamorgan fans, but Andy Gorvin is doing a stellar job at number 10.

He guides one down to third man off Brett Hutton for three and then survives the final four deliveries after a leg bye off Mason Crane's thigh pad.

Granted the last ball is an edge for another three.

But Gorvin has stuck around for 55 balls now. Only 10 runs but scoring is not the objective right now. It's about surviving and he's giving it a good go.

  20. rain stops play

Rain in Canterburypublished at 15:12 BST 13 April

    Kent 178 & 231-5 v Northants 684-2 dec

A miserable sight in Canterbury as the rain is falling again and the big cover is on.

Northants' hopes of winning this one may just be toast.
