Just the 45 overs for Glamorgan to survive then. Or knock off 225 at five an over?

This partnership between Mason Crane and Andy Gorvin is now worth 29.

  3. 250 runs

    Notts v Glamorgan 253-8 - target 478

Mason Crane edges one down to the third man boundary off Brett Hutton and every time that happens, they just frustrate Notts a little more.

    Glamorgan pass 250.

Maiden over for Dillon Pennington. Andy Gorvin survives another over. He's on three from 48 balls.

Glamorgan continue to dig deep. How long can they cling on?

    Lawrence b Patel 0 (Surrey 520 & 177-4 v Leics 691)

    Hello?!

Dan Lawrence comes and goes. Two in an over for Ajaz Patel - how many times have we seen double-wicket overs this season?

This one though, pitches on leg and turns prodigiously out of a footmark and crashes into Lawrence's stumps.

Surrey lead by six but suddenly are four down. A bit of life left in this one if Patel can find that kind of spin!

    Smith c Scriven b Patel 89 (Surrey 520 & 176-3 v Leics 691)

No third successive century for Jamie Smith!

Ajaz Patel continues with the leg stump line and Smith takes it on but is stopped from getting more runs by a brilliant low catch at deep backward square by Tom Scriven.

After previous scores of 132 and 166, Smith's effort today ends at 89.

LANCASHIRE BEAT DERBYSHIRE BY 29 RUNSpublished at 14:59 BST 13 April

    Lancashire (351 & 160) beat Derbyshire (374 & 108) by 29 runs

Mo Abbas knocks the ball down to square leg and half sets off for a run as Zak Chappell charges down the pitch.

He changes his mind as Tom Bailey closes on the ball, picks up and hurls back to Jimmy Anderson with Chappell stranded.

The Lancs skipper knocks down the stumps and hurls the ball away as he is mobbed by his teammates.

A suitably chaotic end to an innings that became increasingly scrambled as Derbys unravelled.

That is a first Championship win at Old Trafford for Lancs since September 2024 when they were in Division One and they owe their inspirational skipper big time.

Anderson finishes with 4-18 in the second innings and 6-80 in the match, backing up his eight wickets against Northants last week.

But they also owe Marcus Harris for his 125 and 66 in the match. Paul Coughlin take a bow, too, for his second innings 35 and 2-13 in Derbys' chase.

For the visitors that was a difficult pill to stomach given they were in control at several stages of the final two days only to choke close to home with just 30 runs needed.

Mason Crane is doing his best to dig in for Glamorgan. He picks up a four off Dillon Pennington to move onto a dogged 24 from 63 balls. The number nine has been at the crease for 90 minutes now.

I think that Jimmy wicket also takes him to the top of the wicket taker table in div 2. Aaah the nostalgia of Jimmy taking a flurry of wickets to win England a test match. Good times.

    Joe, Yorkshire

Jimmy Anderson has 14 wickets in 2026 so far, one ahead of Northamptonshire's Harry Conway.

    Here's Jimmy again.

Single off the first delivery. Dot off the second. Wicket off the third as Harry Singh takes a stunning catch at second slip and Shoaib Bashir is on his way.

Mo Abbas v Anderson is the match up now.

    Derbys 107-8 – Target 138

Zak Chappell takes a single off Mitch Stanley's first ball and Shoaib Bashir clips a leg-side delivery for two down to backward square leg.

Three dots follow, the second and third the speedo inform no less than 87mph. Too fast for Bashir.

The final delivery beats the outside edge.

Derbys still need 31 runs to win. Lancs need two wickets.

    Notts v Glamorgan 242-8 - target 478

So comes to an end the 80th over of this Glamorgan second innings from Ben Slater and now Notts go straight for the new ball.

The visitors need 236 to win - or to survive at least 50 overs.

Notts need two wickets. The defending champions are certainly the strong favourites here.

    Aitchison lbw b Anderson 13 (Derbys 104-8 – Target 138)

No doubting who are favourites now as Jimmy Anderson gets Ben Aitchison lbw.

That was the final delivery of his over and there was no doubt. Beaten for pace, beaten for line and sent on his way by a confident decision from the umpire.

Anderson now has figures of 4-1-6-3 from this spell. Terrific stuff from the Lancs skipper.

    Notts v Glamorgan 242-8 - target 478

Glamorgan are more than halfway there to the target of 478. They need another 236 to win.

Slight sticking point is just the two spare wickets. And they've got number nine and 10 in...

    Derbys 104-7 – Target 138

Jimmy Anderson gets a leading edge off Ben Aitchison but it drops short of Tom Hartley at cover.

Third ball the ball flies towards the sip cordon where Paul Coughlin dives to his left at gully but it evades his grasp and races to the third man boundary.

    A dot follows a dot.

Last over before the new ball and Notts opening batter Ben Slater is coming on for a bowl.

A bit of off-spin for the 80th over.

First ball is a full toss to Mason Crane and he duly dispatches for four through cover.

    Derbys 100-7 – Target 138

Even the overs are ebbing and flowing.

Mitch Stanley goes 4-W-4 as Ben Aitchison joins the fray and hits a boundary first ball.

And now the Derbys man steps inside a full pitched delivery and steers through backward point for another.

    That's 4-W-4-4.

A single pinches the strike as 100 comes up for Derbys.
